    As Cleaning Contractor, and been doing Office/ Commercial cleaning since 2013 and I used a rental Bissell Big Green from Lowes and doing a Carpet clean for the 1st time last week for one of my existing accounts. I’m glad I went with the Big Green than the Rug Doctor. And I’ll be renting the Big Green again next month til I purchase my own and to ad Carpet Cleaning to my Repertoire. 👍🏼

    You are doing a great job! I hope it keeps going well for you. One nice thing about the Bissell and Rug Doctors is that you won't blow circuit breakers as often as with bigger extractors. More powerful box extractors have drawbacks like having to load/unload them, the long hoses require more powerful vac motors to pull water over greater distance (which again may blow breakers) and having to pack hoses and wands and all the other stuff up flights of stairs etc...overall these "self-contained extractors" offer huge advantages since they are easier to carry around, have their own agitation system built in with the brushes, and use less current to clean with. It doesn't take nearly as much vacuum motor to draw water a foot or so as compared to 10+ feet with a typical power-hungry box extractor. Keep up the good work!

    I've been carpet cleaning for 12 years now. I have had many professional carpet cleaning machines, and after all these years, I am now using the setup this guy has. A rotary machine and a Big Green. Never let me down in the 2 years I've been using them. I get better results from a Big Green than any Jaguar or Prochem machines.

      Makes me wonder why I keep seeing all these comments over the internet saying not to get one. Is it because people want to seem more professional?

    • @NomadicTom
      @NomadicTom Před měsícem

      @@dm7744 I think that 'professional' carpet cleaners are a strange breed of people. They are so easily persuaded by the carpet cleaner manufacturers that their machine is the best. if you don't have a fancy extraction wand it won't work. It's all a load of BS. As for looking professional. when i turn up with a decent rotary brush and a big green I feel professional as hell. I also let the results do the talking. Carpet cleaners are just sour, because they've spent 1000s on a machine that the big green can do.

    • @premiumdetails7574
      @premiumdetails7574  Před měsícem

      For me, it’s about efficiency. This is no longer my setup and I upgraded to a machine with a bigger recovery and solution tank, as well as better suction. I don’t take anything away from the bissell, it can just be cumbersome when you have a lot of square footage to clean. At the end of the day, you gotta run with what you can afford.

I’m in the auto detailing space as well and the spot clean pro is a staple for people who don’t have a lot of money to spend. I just bought and am currently using the hart 3 in 1 shampoo dry vac. Seems like a good machine that delivers good results.

      What’s going on Cody?! I just used a basic household carpet shampoo since the carpet wasn’t that soiled and the bissell is like an entry level machine, designed to do a simple clean. For my pretreatment, that chemical was formulated to treat spots because it was a lil more concentrated. The only hot water I use is from the spigot, if it’s available. Hopefully I can get a better machine in the future. Thanks for the support!

      @san4ez83 It has really good suction power better than most portable extractors on the market. If it had steam it would be almost as good as a commercial extractor. With a good agitator like my orek orbiter you can get professional results for sure

      @ronnieholliday7750 Does the furniture dry cleaning nozzle itself also powerfully draw in water? I'm more interested in the power of a furniture dry cleaning attachment than cleaning carpet. I’m now choosing between karcher puzzi 8 or Big green BG10

    • @ronnieholliday7750
      @ronnieholliday7750 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @san4ez83 The Big Green attachment has great suction as well. I use it for stairs and upolstry cleaning and it does a good job. The Puzzi is good for spot cleaning small areas or upolstry cleaning so it really depends on how you will be using it.

    • @san4ez83
      @san4ez83 Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@ronnieholliday7750 thanks for the answer. There’s not a lot of money at the start, so I want a universal option, both for carpeting and for cleaning furniture upholstery. I just doubted that the big green on the nozzle would not have enough power to collect water well. I watched a video where, on a Puzzy8, I removed the brush and used the nozzle hose to lift a liter bottle filled with water. this is great. I couldn’t find any power tests for the Biggreen nozzle. so I doubted it, I thought the BG would have the same power as the compact little green.

    Hello, Friend!!! I got the little green machine, and I love it. Thinking about renting a Big Green to help clean my friends apartment. Going to do the 4:1 ratio in spray bottle. Did you use that as the main shampooing element, or was that your pre-treat and then use a detergent in the Big Green? And did you do wet passes and dry passes? Thanks!!!!
    Also, for stains like in the video where you were using something to agitate, is there something I could without using one of those machines to agitate? Thanks!!!

    • @premiumdetails7574
      @premiumdetails7574  Před rokem

      Hi, thanks for the comment! Agitation is an important part of the process, so if you don’t have a small orbital machine, you can get a carpet/upholstery brush from Walmart and agitate. Trust me, it makes life so much easier! When I do carpets, I just use hot water for extraction. One dry pass for every wet pass. Good luck!

    The Big Green extractor really is a workhorse.
    I would call it entry-level professional equipment, no heat but built-in agitation.
    I think one of the advantages the BG extractor has is that you don’t need a van to haul it, I fit one in an Audi TT with room for a vacuum and other stuff.
    Downside is definitely the smaller tank size and having to physically remove the water tanks. You can easily use two tanks in a big living room, and it slows you down.
    The Mytee Lite 8070 is probably the closest comparison and it’s more than twice the price, but does have a tank heater and uses standard extractor accessories. It also can fill/dump without having to break down the machine which is a massive time saver.
    If you do get a Big Green to start a cleaning company, you will have the option to decommission it and operate it as a rental machine once you out grow it. $50+/day doesn’t take long to pay for itself. Easily charge more than the box stores to rent if you deliver with pre measured cleaning chemicals.
