I just bought the commercial version which is basically the same except for the cord. Mine has a yellow detachable cord and I had to buy the hose kit separately. I have two senior age cats that are accident prone and this machine makes quick work of getting rid of the little messes.
I think they are great machines that are reliable and efficient. Thank you for watching the video.
Thanks for mentioning the action of the brush being tied to when the handle comes down. At 4:20 I was thinking it wasn't working properly! This was a big help.
Glad I could help! Thank you for watching the video and leaving a comment.
Thank you for your help showing us how to use it. Very nicely done!
Thank you, I'm Glad I could help. Also, thank you for watching the video and commenting.
Oh joy. I find myself here because I'm going to clean carpets today. Thankfully, I have use of this machine. Fml
Thank you for watching and commenting. Have fun.
Excellent video overall. The purpose of the handle on the solution compartment is to be able to fill it at the sink. I know if I try that bucket to machine bit, I will be cleaning up a lot of water from the floor.
Thank you for watching the video. You are absolutely correct, I did learn that the hard way, and now I take it to the sink. Thank you.
I appreciate you showing complete process including filling with water and such as I prefer to carry tank to sink and sometimes the layout of fill holes etc make things difficult if trying to fill from various different faucet layouts/sink configurations. I was impressed that you were able to pour from bucket without making a mess. I am using solution I bought 15 years ago with older, cheaper Bissel and Hoover cleaning machines that have separate tanks for cleaning solution mix and clean water and I must do a clean water rinse so my cleaning solution does not attract dirt after the carpet is cleaned. Apparently Bissel's cleaning solution does not cause this issue. It looks like my cleaning time could be cut drastically with that machine and proper solution.
I was also impressed that I did not spill while pouring from the bucket.
I love this machine, it has been working great for me. If you upgrade, you should give this one a try. Thank you for watching the video.
You’ve outdone yourself with this review! I had a lot of questions regarding the features such as the brush staying off when the handle is upright so you can do car detailing. Everything was explained crystal clear, great job! The only downside to this machine seems to be that it only includes one size brush head. I can’t believe they didn’t include a smaller sized brush for detailing or those hard to reach spots
P.S. I know a smaller brush size isn’t a big deal but it would have more suction power for deeper stains too, not just hard to reach areas
Thank you for the kind words, and thank you for watching the video.
There is probably a brush head the size you want at the Bissell website. If there is, let us know which you prefer. Thanks.
Your demonstration is Awesome!! No doubt.
Thank you for watching and leaving kind words.
Go to a cleaning supply store and buy some dry cleaner (if they sell it) or see what the owner recommends. Use a pump sprayer and lightly spray it over all your traffic areas. Use a pool scrub brush to work it into the fibers. Do about 200 sq ft at a time so it doesn't dry out. Use your wand tool to pre-spray before you clean any area. Just use your foot / tennis shoe to scrup spots. On seriously nasty areas you'll need to pre-shampoo it or (better yet) use cotton pads under a floor machine with a drive-block. Use that with dry cleaner for serious grease like in restaurants.
Awesome video. Just ordered mine because of it
Thank you for watching the video and I am glad it helped give you the info you needed.
Can you do a review after you use it on your vehicle? This was very useful. Thank you.
A few notes, as I use this at my place of employment and I've used it many times. That black and white dial may stop working properly with the use of hot water. Sounds crazy since hot water is essential, but just look out for that.
Also try to avoid running soap or cleaner through the machine. Saturate carpet with cleaner/water solution, then rinse with hot water only using the machine.
Thank you for the tip.
@@GoFurtherBug not a problem...when you run the soap through the machine you are cleaning the carpet, BUT it leaves a residue because you are also rinsing with soap. This will make you carpet dirty faster. Goes with any machine.
This is a great product, though, and I appreciate your video!
That makes sense. I will definitely give it a try next cleaning.
Thank you.
Of you're going to go that route you might as well just.buy a wet/dry shop vac and a stiff push broom
@@Fireworxs2012 yea, i have watched plenty of big green videos, and NOOOOOBODY did what he suggested. Id give benefit of doubt but not without evidence.
Thanks!
Thank you for watching.
Excellent video. 👍👍🎄🔔
Awesome review! I am having loss of suction (from the floor only, brush works great!). The bissell website suggests a new top to the dirty water tank. I’m not able to find the part to order. Any tips?
Thank you for watching video. regarding the suction loss I would check all the seals ( O rings) on the dirty tank. You could also take the brush off and and check for any possible obstructions in the suction area. I hope this helps.
It would have been nice to see you put more effort into the heavy traffic area so we can see the results
Hey, Lol... I have to say that its was hard to see a big difference on this video since you dont let your carpet get as bad as some others on I've seen on here. But after seeing the dirty water I can see it does work well...I did however like your explanations of the features and aspects of the cleaner especially the suction...I've seen where the bigger rug doctor doesnt suck that well. I'm using my mom's old Hoover steamvac plus 1200 which is probably pushing 20 years old...it does ok but it has small tanks and poor brush design and takes quite awhile to do the job....
What I've been doing is putting my carpet cleaning solution in a garden pump sprayer and then only fresh clean water in the machine so I'm rinsing with only water...that seems to work good
Anyways thx for the video it's just one more to help me decide.
Thank you for watching and commenting. I like how you improvised with the garden sprayer.
Does the brushroll underneath still spin if the hose is connected and being used?
I'm asking this because Bissell's another model PetPro has this problem that the brushroll still spins when the hose is being used and it almost burned my carpet when I left it aside for a while. I'm thinking to get this Big Green model but want to make sure it doesn't have similar problem.
The brush only spins when the handle is reclined. When you use the hose make sure the handle is in the upright position and the brush will not spin. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching my video.
@@GoFurtherBug Thanks! This helps a lot!
Hello,do you use an anti foam solution?
I have used both types. In this video, I was using a basic solution.
does the bottom part spin
Yes it spins. Thank you for watching.
Can you clean the stairs with this?
Yes. It has a hose and small head for steps and small areas.
So it's definitely worth it? I have kids and dogs so I need to invest in a good one
I still love this carpet cleaner, It appears to be built very well. I do clean it after use and keep it in good shape. Thank you for watching our video. I do recommend This carpet cleaner amzn.to/2V9kbQ9
Your carpet was clean to begin with. How can this even be considered a legit review?
@Go Further Bug. How come you are the only one that doesn't know how to use the Bissell Big Green DEEP Cleaning Machine that kicks the butts of both Large Rug Doctor Machines. You seem kind of Disingenuous! I see little at home mom, woman handling the Bissell BGDCM with no issues, and other CZcamsrs the same high performance results. Thumbs Down!
