- Today, I will show you how to use the Bissell Big Green Carpet Cleaner machine. I rented this from Lowes and saved myself $350+, because I cleaned all of my house carpets, couches and chairs, car carpets, and car seats. Ended up spending $29 for a 24 hour rental, $18 for the cleaning solution, and spent four hours across the different things. Ended up being satisfied with the results.
This cleaner is cheaper than the Rug Doctor. You can even save $7 if you sign up for the newsletter.

Excellent explanation, especially squeezing the red button to spray solution into the carpet and release it for suction. Thank you so much for sharing!

Dump in the toilet. Not the tub.
Yep pet hair will quickly clog up the tub if you pour it in there.

de nada!

@@EdwardInTX just returned the rental to H‑E‑B, got the carpet looking amazing
@@Heworldwide glad it worked out well!
Do you have to use plain water separately after using shampoo water for rinse cycle? Or not needed? Thanks
Not needed
You must do a rinse cycle or the soap will attract dirt very quick. Also I would use half the soap suggested.
@@t-mac6210 good tip
@@t-mac6210 Do you shampoo all the carpets first then go through with the rinse cycle or do you keep alternating? Cuz I feel that would be very tedious
Good vid. Did you use the same carpet cleaner solution for both house and car?
Yes
Is this usable on hardwood or tile?
No, you'd need a bissell big green floor scrubber
I paid for mine $300 in december after taxes
Use warm water instead of hot. Some of the parts of this machine do not like hot water and you will be replacing them
Good to know!
The amount of formula you put in the tank is confusing, the machine itself and the bottles don't seem to jive. Some say one cap but then I hear two cap fulls.
Mine felt fine with the amounts I showed in the video.
Was that the solution that came with it?
it's the solution that's sold on top of the machine when you go rent it
What if the hot water in the tank turns cold?
Dump it and put in hot water
@@EdwardInTX But the cold water is already mixed with the cleaning solution. If I dump it, I will be wasting cleaning solution
can i buy the thing instead of rental
Yes, but they're very expensive!
@@EdwardInTX 400$ on Amazon

Yeah they are $411 it worth buying. Am waiting on Black Friday to buy one of these. Since I have kids, and sometimes I entertain so it worth buying, since you going to use it for years, and its yours.
How long the carpet dry?
Yes
5 minutes and no cleaning video. Fuck!!!!
Sorry!
These soak you carpet and cause mold. Encapsulation cleaning is way better. Low moisture but more effective than conventional method.
I’ll look into that. Thanks!
Encapsulation carpet cleaning is an interim, low-moisture carpet cleaning method that dries quickly. While encapsulation does not eliminate deep cleaning methods like hot water extraction, it can prolong the cycle for which deep cleaning of carpet is required.
I use my big green all the time and never had a problem with mold.
Mold can only grow in damp environment, if the carpet dries mold can’t grow. Also that’s the reason you use hot water so it evaporates quickly.
Fans or dehumidifiers or white vinegar in the water.
