I primarily play Star Trek Online, Star Wars The Old Republic, and Final Fantasy XIV. On my Arc 770: the only game out of the 3 that even tickles the 770 is FFXIV. The other two have the GPU hitting in the low 40C range while FFXIV does push it enough for the cooling fans on it to come on once in a while with temps in the low 60C range. True: I do have 10 fans in the case (excluding those on the CPU and GPU); but, for what I do on my PC: the 770 does it with no fuss or hiccups. The only hiccup I did have was due to a corrupt driver download. A complete reinstall of the drivers fixed that though. Granted: some have ridiculed me for liking the 770; but, it does exactly what I need and want it to do. I am looking forward to seeing just how far the drivers for this card will go in the future.

From what ive seen Nvidia is not what i want as imo Nvidia gpus below the rtx 4070 super are out classed by AMD and intel.
Im thinking of getting a RX 7700xt 12gb but now i need to search for the RX 6800 16gb after seeing this video. Seems the 6800 not only out performs the 7700xt but has more vram. But i get the impression the reason the 7700xt is so cheap here is because of the lack of vram. 7600xt is only 100 AUD cheaper than the 7700xt here which is about 50 USD. Where the 7800xt is a good 120 AUD over the 7700xt and i don't know if im happy to pay over 800 AUD for a GPU.

A year ago, I purchased a pre-owned RX 6800 graphics card without much knowledge about it. Initially, I intended to buy an RTX 3060, but I was drawn to the RX 6800 because of its aesthetic appeal and ample RAM. It turned out to be a hidden gem of a card.

I’m wanting to build a new gaming pc and kinda set my gpu budget around $300, what’s crazy is when you start comparing apples to apples I keep coming up with well for $30 to $40 more I can get (X) kinda rethinking maybe maybe my gpu budget should be $400. The more I look the more my build budget keeps increasing, planning a trip to a micro center the next state over and it would be awesome to walk into the store and find a great in store special.

Asus is super expensive here, then there’s MSI and Gigabyte with slightly lower price.
GALAX is dirt cheap, however I’ve been hearing that the low price is the result of low quality materials they use and that they don’t last
