ryzen 7 7800 x3d with radeon 7900 xt is what ive been running and its perfect for high refresh rates at 1440p and runs 4k pretty well. Great video btw!!

Built and loved a 5600/RX 6600 system, then upgraded to 5600X3D/6800 when my brother upgraded, and really loved that. Now, I'm on to a 7800X3D/7900 XT/1440p build and am incredibly satisfied with performance for gaming and some light AI Video Upscaling. All systems were between 0-2% bottleneck on the CPU GPU Bottleneck Calculator for graphics intensive tasks at respective resolutions. That has been the most useful way to pick parts without having to buy them or wait for someone to test your exact part choices. As always, very helpful guide sir.

Thanks. It's so nice to see some of you young guys talking about a balanced system. It was a major focus in the 90s and early 2000s, and then we slowly drifted away from it.
Newer, more powerful components can slow your system down drastically. Most don't realize just how much time your system is spending doing nothing because it's waiting in data that got parked in a backup.
Think of it as water running threw a pipe. To get the maximum amount of water, the flow needs to be smooth.

Those are the only combos that would make sense to the majority of gamers but if you want the best:
-Ryzen 7800x3D
-B650 or X670 board
-2x 32gb CL30 6000mhz DDR5 or 2x 16gb CL30 6000mhz DDR5
-RTX4090
If you notice none of the lower end build have Nvidia GPU's its for obvious reasons, its not because I'm an AMD fanboy since I own a 3090 and 3070 its because the 4000 series offers little to no value.
im glad i found this video because my new pc is going to be top of the line and i was going back and forth on what cpu i could pare with a 4090 for the application i want to use it with. from what you said my best option is the i9 14900k because not only will i be gaming but i want to get into video editing/photo editing with other basic task like social media and youtube running in the background with a little stock market. basically a gaming/work station that i will be proud of for years to come.

I got an i9-12900k with a 4070 super that can run 1440p 200+ fps on most games I play. Great with multitasking ask well and programming
The RX 7600 and Ryzen 5 5600 works wonders for me and they’re an affordable combination.
I’ve used these two for years and just only recently upgraded the gpu running a 6700xt with a ryzen7 5800x3d now thinking of upgrading gpu next just for longevity but the 5600x is a amazing gaming cpu and pairs well with the 6700xt series

i would also need some advice, i am currently not sure if i should buy the 4070Super or the 4070TI for 70€ more or the RT7900XT for 80€ more than the Super. I am only playing on 2k (WQHD) resolution with around 120 FPS. Would the 70 bucks more be worth it and would the 7900XT or the 4070TI be a better option?

What games do you play that made you choose the 7800x3d specifically with the rtx 4070?
Because you could have paired a 7700x with a 4070 Ti (maybe even Ti Super) and see a significant performance difference with a very similar budget.
That is the cpu I bought. Just need to match it with a gpu. Either a 4070 super, or 7800xt. Can't decide.

Which cpu would you use on the adm rx6950xt? I mostly play multiplayergames.
Please do a follow up video on the Corsair magnetic fans, I found the Thermaltake ones that are essentially the same for $80 on Amazon and would love to see you compare Corsair vs thermaltake vs Lian li, especially since the magnetic fans are like a huge game changer to building PCs (even more so for beginners like me). My biggest issue is I don’t wanna deal with all the cords, but I’m kinda sad if I choose to get the thermaltake fans, they won’t really match the Kraken 280 AIO fans. Hard to tell how they’d look together.

Hi. I need a PC for content creation. Pc for Premiere (45%) 1440p, Fortnite (30%) 1440p, other games (10%) 1440p, Photoshop & Illustrator (10%), other stuff (5%). Must handle recording every time I'm playing and maybe streaming as well. What do you think about 7950x3D with 4080 super?
Ordered an rx6800 on sale for 350 euro (new) and combine it with an Ryzen 7 7700 and 32GB Ddr5 6000mhz cl36 on an msi b650 pro gaming board. Should be a great 1440p experience right? Can’t wait to build the PC!
Interesting new case from Corsair... Will stick with my custom desktop PC I got new 4 months ago, it should last me a good 5-8 years (Corsair 5000D airflow white, i7-14700K, Asus ProArt RTX 4080, 32GB DDR5, 2TB Samsung Pro990 SSD).
Since I'm not the overclocking type & also choose hardware for their thermal efficiency & lower noise levels under load I paired a Ryzen 9 7900 12C/24T CPU (w/DeepCool AK620 Digital Cooler) & an ASUS TUF version (best of the bunch) AMD 7800 XT GPU for my recent 1440p build. Great combo for 1440p gaming.
I have an 11900k and 4080, upgraded from my 3070 last october.
It runs great and only bottlenecks when i use dlss in certain games, otherwise its been excellent so far.
Waiting for intel 15th gen platform then in another few years i can get 16/17th gen cpu on the same motherboard.

From time to time I do, yes. Runs fine (150+ FPS) on Multiplayer I am on 240+ FPS, zero issues and IFFFF I am having issues, it's the game, not the GPU@@Achilles_11_

@@Achilles_11_Your FPS should be higher with a 5800x3D if that is important to you. Otherwise, both are extremely playable

When you say 7800xtx are you referringto the 7900gre or tge 7900xtx or dud you just mean the 7800xt.

A little confused.... at 8:10 you start talking about high end 1440P and you show a bar graph of FPS..... but in the top left corner these GPUs ar paired with a Intel core i9 14900K yet you recommend intel i5 & ryzen 5. In a no overclock and undervolt at 1440p 120fps cap in everything most likely forever scenario, which one is better and why...and more importantly, which seems less likely to have coil whine (and less noise in general)? Do the black rectangle capacitors have more chance to cause coil whine (even if they are better)?

currently running a 14600k with a 3060 12gb but soon that 3060 will be upgraded to a 7900 gre i think if your building a low budget system a 3060 12gb is a great option for 1080p higher settings or lower 1440p settings for its price which is now typically under 300 dollars usd

I've got a i9-9900KF like an idiot and a gtx 1660 smh after watching your last video I see the mistake...what gpu upgrade should I go for imy monitor is only 1080p as well? example I got dragons dogma 2 and it was horrendous my PC was automatically set to all LOW settings and still everything looked pixelated lmao. I use the 7800 xt and a ryzen 5 5600x and I play on 4k anywhere between medium and high settings, sometimes with ray tracing, and still am above 65+ fps in any game I've played. Some games even 100+

Hey, I just built a Ryzen 7950x3d with a rtx4080 super and I can't seem to push the CPU even when bench testing the temp won't go over 65c and it's always idles at 55c when playing games. I just can't seem to push the chip and feel I'm not getting the most out of it.
What about a Ryzen 5 5500 paired with RX 7700 XT or Ryzen 5 5600 paired with RX 7700 XT, are they good for 1440p?
