Okay so just to clear this up, when you phone is in flight mode or off, it absolutely is not transmitting data. There may be some devices out there that are configured to to do this or make this possible but your standard android or iphone is not. You can easily test this yourself, use Kali linux or wireshark and monitor the internal IP address of your phone, put your phone in airplane mode or turn it off and you'll see no communication whatsoever because the adaptors are disabled, completely. A phone can still perform certain functions under these conditions but utilizing wireless networks or mobile data is not possible. I'm a cyber security consultant, believe me when I say I know EXACTLY what each device in my house is doing. If there was any traffic coming from my phone when it was off I'd know about it by either monitoring the network traffic or radio frequencies, both of which produce nothing when off or in airplane mode. My enterprise firewall would capture any internal traffic and wireshark would capture any mobile data. If you know anything about networking you'd know that you can't capture unicast traffic from a device that isn't part of the unicast conversation, you can however capture broadcast traffic. Any device communicating over ANY network will produce broadcast traffic, specifically talking about phones here. Other devices that are purpose built can indeed send unicast only traffic but you'd need to give specific connection properties to the software to achieve this and it would easily be highlighted in the code, android is open source and this would never happen without being caught before making into production devices. Stop posting stuff and making statements based off of what people tell you, check your own facts because now you've made yourself look like a bit of a pleb
My god you're naive. They've actually shown examples where phones capture all this data while the phone is meant to be turned off. Easy to find with a simple youtube search. Bet you're one of the people who also doesn't believe in 'planned obsolescence' either.

@Birb_bread we used to be able to take batteries out of phones before.

Then when I downloaded it, it said my current phone "was not compatible with the software."
So. I had to upgrade my phone, in order to continue using the newer BoA app.

Not to mention the lies about the operating system. They used the entire Android code base and had someone change the device tree. It's all nonsense.
It’s kinda true but kinda a scam because you watching CZcams on any device will have an advertising id. And like if you connect to a wifi or cell tower your information can be stolen pretty quickly
CZcams makes an ID on their website/apps. The website work around for mobile devices is vpns and Tor/onion browsers. I dont think the idea is to be full proof just more control.
Please go and read about VPN dummy, it influence any device

Unless they have a built in vpn type thing that would prevent them from gaining exact data….iPhone was supposed to be like that for consumer protections but now it’s obvious it’s so that only they have the data to sell to corporations for a profit and not just anyone the iPhone comes in contact with..,notice more features disappearing from ur iPhones? Like the screen recording option not recording phone calls anymore forcing u to have to pay a third party app to record calls and then pay per call that’s retrieved…they’re still selling all the call recordings from ur phone…when it should be a simple app that records and stores the call recording on the phones storage and not some third party database like iPhone has to do…at least android allows apps that are created by whoever to be used on their phones unlike iPhone….iPhone took away our access to view our significant locations data freely, u have to have a MacBook and the software to be able to access that information but they have access to it and sell it for a profit…this is why I didn’t want to upgrade my computer from windows 7 to windows 8 and up….u are no longer owner of the information u enter into that computer and they do take it and sell it…,so if u store photos on ur devices or computer…those photos belong to the computer manufacturer (Microsoft) and are used for ads and all kinds of shite…eff the tech industry..,I wish more people were like this guy in the video

Stop posting stuff and making statements based off of what people tell you, check your own facts because now you've made yourself look like a bit of a pleb
this was such obvious crap... constantly pinging wifi while off... maybe like one device out there is doing that.
Agreed
My god you're naive. They've actually shown examples where phones capture all this data while the phone is meant to be turned off. Easy to find with a simple youtube search. Bet you're one of the people who also doesn't believe in 'planned obsolescence' either.
Yup. This dude is just trying to sell a scam. No one is going to buy it.
You sure are stupid for an expert. The phone still logs that data when in airplane mode and sends everything out when reconnected.
It’s your Bluetooth that’s pinging you that’s why it’s recommended to turn it off but not through the drop down menu. You need to go to settings and shut it off.
Every company says they promise they won't sell out data lmao.
And their own version of tracking you. Thank you
