I picked up a used RTX 3090 FOUNDER'S EDITION 2 weeks ago for 440$ really happy with how it performs. All i needed to do was a quick repaste and the card runs under 65°C all day long during gaming
Yep. My 3090 strix Oc actually overclocks to 3090ti strix oc spec and it beats 4070ti super in alot of games maxed out in 4k still. 4070ti and under are gonna be paperweights so damn quick cause the 12gb vram and terrible bandwidth cause bus width. 12gb vram already is not enough. They already rely on frame gen just to get playing frame rates but with terrible frame pacing and artifacts. Frame gen is only meant for single player games with already playable frame rates and just make things look smoother. 20fps with bad frame timing already into frame gen is just a shitshow. 3090 and 3090ti on second hand market is way better bang for buck (and more long term) than 4070ti super and under.
Very few RTX 3090-s were sold and much less of them survived due to : -all the cracked PCB-s at the PCI-Ex connector on countless RTX 3090-s -all the overheated and burnt VRM-s on the RTX 3080/3080Ti/3090/3090Ti cards -all exploded backside capacitors on the RTX 3080/3080Ti/3090/3090Ti cards
untrue: i have exactly same system as op not counting mobo, i have vram copper modded 3090 ftw3 ultra, changed cooling for hybrid evga aio, modded wc pump and 520W vbios doing 2ghz no throttle! Its a Monster! 5800x3d is undervolted and co-30 allcore (goldensample)
@@pav1u have you read what you've written ?!?!....all of the above mentioned real world problems go away for you at the instant when you changed to a waterblok for your GPU. You mitigate cooling issues and thus VRM exploding issues, as well you mitigate weight issues by removong the brick of that air cooler and going to around 5 x lighter watermonoblock.
@@lflyr6287 Just curios if its the same for 3090tis and if i should do anything to mine? I have one rn on my 2nd system and have had it for 18 months now with the stock cooler no issues. It was a zotac one so not sure if that makes a diff. Haven't heard of these issues much so idk
I keep hearing most 3090s run hot. Should I get a hybrid/liquid cooled 3090? I just want something I don't have to open up and re-paste, just plug in and go. The RTX Titan I bought used took a shit and all I have is a 1070 now. U.U
I’ve an EVGA xc3 3090 that’ll get up to 80c regularly, they are fine at high temps so long as it stays stable. So long as it isn’t kicking up mid-90 degree temps I’d say you’re good. They’re just little heaters.

I have seen RTX 3090 in Spain for 570 euros, but I am afraid that in a few months it will die, and with the bad luck that I have, I know that could easily happen to me.

I bought my 3090 strix oc for $700 right before 40 series came out and I’m so glad I did. Especially I got a golden sample that overclocks to 3090ti strix oc freq and mem freq. Because of that, the overall bandwidth, bus width, and 24gb of vram it beats 4070ti and even 4070ti super in some 4k games in pure raster (even the games it does beat Super it still has a more stable frametime and 1% low). 40 series is shit and 4090 is the only card worth a damn but yeah $1500 (at least). 4080 is just a ripoff. Unless you don’t mind annoying fake frame artifacts or insane lag then frame gen is the only benefit for 40 series. The bus width and vram just is just too shit. I play everything max settings 4k and it’s normal to use 20gb of vram so anyone saying that the 12gb 4070ti or 16gb 4070ti super are comparable are basing it in games not as vram heavy, bandwidth heavy, or using 1440p or lower.
Also not to mention not needing a new power supply standard, adapters, or risking my pc or house burning down is a huge plus too. When I saw the spec of the the 12v connector and it’s lack of wiggle room for tolerance I knew it was gonna be a shit show and that was enough for me to stop waiting on 40 series and man I don’t regret it one bit. For me to get the performance I do but with 40 series I would have had to pay like $850 for a GPU and $300 for a new power supply or even riskier adapters but nope instead I paid $700 and called it a day. Also my development work performs WAYYYYYY better than if I got a 4070ti super. This generation is a shitshow

Great price 💪
Where u got it from??
Yo 440 is a snag I got one for 650$ a month ago
Holy cow that was a crazy good deal, Usually used 3090s go for around $700-$800, You're very lucky.
Is 650 a good deal? I can find used for that price, but not lower
The voiceover is made with AI. Man I just want a real review from a real human being.
Same, it sucks hard as it's most of the channels now.
What does "DLSS B" mean? Do you mean preset B or something else? I'm assuming you mean dlss quality preset b.
Didn’t get it for the performance, I got it for the V-Ram. Gonna be playing new games on this for a loooooooooooong time

All ??? Running a RTX 3090 MSI Gaming X Trio that I actually purchased pre-owned that's been pretty flawless.... :)

All right, that's good to know because I don't think I can even fit a hybrid variant in my case. @@AstroLoops69

It really is, i have a 4070 and even with Frame Generation enabled it drops below 60FPS at 1440P RT Ultra..

is a beast!
Certainly not. 4070 Super / 4070 Ti is the obvious choice. Who would buy a 500W card...
