I do like the way Mickey isn’t just a monster like what most games pull, the fact he was starving for days before he did anything remotely hostile is something you don’t see often.
10/10 would vibe with him

Funniest thing is that steamboats of that size and capacity would never go far out to sea. Maybe across the shoreline, or hopping between islands, but they mostly stuck to rivers, lakes, and deep swamps

If I am ever in a situation where my life is on the line, I too would rather go to a window than a door that has a higher chance to kill me.

@@kamisama414 Lets say you are in a very precarious position where your life is at stake and found yourself in a room with a Door (locked or not) vs a Window (daytime or nightime).
Choosing the Door means you are going in further IN the building, we don't know the dangers that lurk there. We could get lost, could get direct encounter to the danger, could scream for help but no one to hear you because you are further inside. A lot of red flags right there.
Choosing the Window means you are going OUTSIDE, even if we don't know the dangers that lurk. We have vantage point if we are higher up, we have wide open area to see better making quick decisions later if needed, we could literally yell outside which sounds travel wider over open spaces rather than concealed buildings.
Both have Pros and Cons depending on the situation but the Window is more preferable. Plus no one in there right mind would actually terrorize you over the window compared to a door where they know that's your best route getting to safety meaning they will take advantage of that.
Honestly, this was not bad as far as rushed dollar store public domain horror games go. Good pacing and suspense, Mickey's final form at the end was pretty terrifying, and the dialog and gameplay leading up to it didn't make it completely impossible to suspend disbelief. This game, for what it is, is as good as it gets.
You know, I really didn't think much of it after I played, but I actually agree with this. You're absolutely not wrong and I completely just brushed all that off. It's missing a lot that could make it actually really good still, but well said.

Yeah they're similar but there's still a difference, that being one is in public domain and the other is still owned by Disney. I'm pretty sure calling him Mickey in content you create could get you into trouble, but I'm no lawyer.

Seeing as a horror game was made the moment he entered public domain and how Winnie the Pooh got the same treatment, I think we might have a pattern here viable enough for a new rule of the internet:
Rule 96: If it enters the public domain, horror will be made of it.
