Thank you so much for making this play-through of my game! Long live cosmic horror!
PLEASSSSE make more stuff like this, this stunned me. Maybe try to work with Unity or Unreal engine because you have genuine talent
I agree with Rxoopsie. If this was on Steam, epic or both i am sure quite a few people would buy it for 10-15 USD. Hopefully the game being made in Dreamz doesnt mean Sony has all rights to your game.
@@FeneFeline 100% and me too this has genuinely the most unique things I've seen in a game
Is it weird that I found this game comforting...? The change in perspective on what is already assumed leaves the imagination room to run free. It's truly a beautiful game and world that challenges history or creativity in its own way.
Please continue to make games. Your way of thinking and seeing possibilities in existing belief is more of what this world needs.
Mad props to you, you obviously have massive talent.
you can tell IGP is excited about a game and loves it when he describes it in a very long intro and gives over a hours worth of content, like he did for Bendy 2
Or he’s getting a little slice of pie from the devs
@Rambogner yeah but those are obvious. When he really likes something he puts a lot of emotion into the intro and gameplay
Oh you mean like every CZcamsr does when they just happens to be sponsored by said company lol @@octane613
@@Rambogneryhj i😅
@@octane613he overreacts to fucking everything that is happening on screen.
"Are we not drawn onward to new era?" is a palindrome, as is "Live on time, emit no evil." Makes sense, as your character is zipping back and forth in time but it's basically the same areas from a different direction.
It was honestly super weird finding palindromes for this game that just so happen to be perfectly on theme with the storyline.
/
The fact that none of the creatures attack you gives a false sense of security, so seeing them start running at you near the end was a straight up betrayal
what about the giant creature from the future I couldn't find it
You really gotta appreciate how IGP doesn't often play the "Big leagues" of horror games, but instead helps the smaller indie games get some attention.
"That's why he's the MVP! That's why he's the goat! The G O A T!"
well hes called the Indie Game Promoter for a reason
@@wowguy1243 lol i just now understood what IGP stands for.
THE GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@SAN-bi2vm It's a double, his name is Indiana (indy) and he's indy game promoter.
@@SAN-bi2vmIGP said it with such confidence 37:12
Is no one gonna point out the amazing editing work with him altering his voice with Echo an such, an the way he did his voice as if he was actually in the space suit Fuckin love it. Small details change the video settings a ton ^~^
@@IGP Thanks for the heart ^~^ made my day, love your stuff.
I was coming to the comments to say the same thing. I love it
@@Coley1122 ditto, I thought I was losing my mind then had to wait for him to leave the mine
edit: just got to the spacesuit part, that was WAY more noticeable than the mines.
2:37:58 This is the monument of all the workers that died in the mine, and the glowing orbs possibly are (and where during the game) the "souls" of people. In the end, James´ own orb exits the mine and joins them.
2:35:39 This probably means that the first Otto you saw was bleeding because the Multiverse-Otto you met in the end shot him, like James had to shoot his other self.
Btw, for everyone who liked this game I can highly recommend "Oats Studios - Volume 1 - Rakka" on CZcams. It´s an amazing alien-indie-movie that shares some aesthetics with Isle of Eras.
This is exactly what I had intended to communicate with that alternate ending. The orbs are ghosts that guide you along. That first ghost orb in the waterfall was Otto. The Morse code even says “I’m in the mine.”
Question is are both brothers dead in the mine? Or safe in an alternate universe? Maybe both can be true.
this is an underrated comment
I love how the ending where you accept your fate shows that the orbs were the people that died there. It's as if they still live on in some form.
the fact that this entire game was made in Dreams is absolutely insane but also just showcases its ability to allow for things like this to be made.
How to i find this in dreams
Just want to say, this game is spectacular. You can tell the dev put tons of love into it.
The idea that angels are actually extra-dimensional beings that distort reality, and the tall grays are followers or worshippers of them is new and unique. Bringing new life to old real life lore. Would definitely play a MMORPG in this realm of existence!
You gave this video tons of love as well and it shows. Your theories and awe are great to experience alongside you while I watch. 10/10 recommend his video to every gamer I know.
Well no. Devs realeas their games unfinished and ask for pointers.
I wpuld argue that, while very intriguing and fairly unique, it's not any weirder than, say, the universe of Tyranny where seemingly random people can become essentially demigods of a chosen aspect pretty much on the basis of belief and personal accomplishment
TLDR: Weird stuff happens in video games lol
how the f you can point out the story? as far as I can see, there's not singular story or anything from this game
I call them graliens
Like gray aliens
Idk man

That background noise is the worlds first recorded sound of a black hole, recorded by NASA a year ago.
Holy hell, this game continues to surprise and impress me.
2:16:10 Haven't seen it mentioned yet but my immediate thought is Junji Ito. I didn't even see the body shaped hole first, I just saw the hallway looking thinner and thinner and it popped into my mind instantly. Don't look it up if you're squeamish. He is not for the faint of heart.
This hole... was made for me!
Exactly my first thought too. Gotta be it. Amigara Fault is one of the most unnerving things I've ever seen
That was my first thought as well, though i found that story to be funny/silly rather than creepy.
Mine too! just made a comment on it, good to know i'm not the only one lol
i remember a Minecraft CZcamsr named Donibobes used a steve shaped hole in one of his videos as clickbait
i watched it and well he never found the hole that was in his thumbnail
i did read it
it was gruesome
not as bad as what you would see in a active war zone or really bad car crash
did you know actual indians from india did funerary rites involving sending the deceased down a very well known river
the ganges i believe.
(i'm from america and people originally thought the native americans were indians so i wrote indians from india as not confuse some people)
i saw some photo that showed "something" that looked a lot like a feral ghoul from fallout 3/nv
the one wearing brown shorts with pinkish skin (there are many variants in the games)
unlike the point lookout ghouls that look like a skinny waxy pale waterlogged ghoul
i was kind of young when i first saw it and didn't think that "thing" that i saw was actually a human
i don't like thinking about it a lot because as it turns out it was a actual human who was sent down the "holy" river
and it wasn't wearing any clothes but i couldn't tell what gender it was because of how decayed it was
tldr;
i saw a image of a Ganges river "floater" and they look like feral ghouls from fallout 3/nv like to a horrifically accurate degree
it's no wonder why people get sick from drinking or bathing in the ganges river
that and the amount of trash floating with the people in the river
Remember how in one of the notes it said your great great grandparents had a ship crash land on their farm, and it was on fire but the flames were blue. And they acquired the island by selling it to someone who used to mine materials from it. And it was mentioned that he disappeared afterwards. Then you later traveled in time and ended up on a farm with a crashed alien ship, plus their daughter went missing, and said daughter was in a blue dress. Before that it was mentioned in multiple notes that people in different times saw a child wearing a blue dress. And when you met said child she said something about you being a grandchild of hers right before she fell into that orb, which she mentioned she was supposed to be there but you weren't "which is a bit of a paradox" she said. To make this more intriguing is how she talked as if she was aware of this entire situation and experienced it before. And now it's mentioned that you are a perfect clone, and you had to kill the real you if you wanted to stay. And you showed up in the exact same ship that was shown crashed in the flaming building. Plus you have seen said ship flying in the sky multiple times. And throughout the entire game it is mentioned how time travel and crossing dimension is involved with the problem that occurs. And no matter where you went that symbol is seen, and in the end that symbol was on a book right next to the g*n on the dresser. There is a legitimate plot for the world, but it seems more subtle, and something you would have to put together like a very elaberate puzzle. What if the real you was involved with some sort of organization that dealt with these creatures, but something went wrong and it not only created a loop, but also broke time and space, while starting a war we could not win. And so you and your brother were sent to fix the problem, or decided to fix the problem on your own, which then led into an infinite loop. And when you found Otto he said "what took you so long" as if he was expecting you to be there quicker. And it is seen in multiple places that there was blood stains which lead to where you were supposed to go, so Otto was also leading you to him with his blood and writings. So what if you were stuck in an infinite loop which stalled you long enough for the problem to get this bad. And you broke that loop by meeting the child in the blue dress, which made you a paradox, which then allowed you to finally reach Otto and do what you did. But it was too late and you instead died. And what if you not excepting that fate stopped the time loop from ever happening in the first place.
Damn dude, now I need to watch the video again
ah yes I totally understand
Holy wow. Bravo to your observation skills.

I love how they are the same sentences but written backwards, but at the same time, make so much sense in that game!! Genious!!
Yep they're called palindromes!
I want to see this game get an official release. Whoever made this is unbelievably talented. This is amazing.
Forgotten City was a mod for Skyrim, so maybe this masterpiece someday can be rebuild as a seperate game.
I agree, but making games ain't really a talent thing. It takes a long time to be good at it. Learning the software and ui etc. Music is the same way.
14:30 You would use those for the movie's audio. On the pole, there was an attachment you would affix to your car's radio antennae. Once attached, you would tune the car radio to the specified frequency, and the movie's audio would play through your car speakers.
At our old theater it was a box you'd hang on the inside of the window and it would act as a speaker.
This game incorporates accurate accounts of ufo experiences. It’s amazingly well done. And I’d venture to say better than most ufo games to date. Made in dreams. I’m baffled. From multiple lights to sporadic “drones” to flying saucers to the triangles. Well done developer. You clearly know your alien stuff.
that game was phenomenal the fact that this was made in dream and is even free is just absolutely mind blowing, incredible play through of an incredible game
The scare at 9:04 is a brilliant play by the developer. Using the players curiosity against them.
With a two hour IGP episode its time to sit back and watch the goat(thx for this)
1:24:40 My man casually finds the Ark of the Covenant and decides to turn back and have nothing to do with it. And with my experience watching Indiana Jones that was probably a good idea lol
I spent a lot of time trying to do anything with it but didn't include the footage because it yielded no results haha
I'm so glad someone else cares. I saw the Ark and was like, "Do NOT touch that!"
The movie is actually accurate, cause if you were to look into it, touch it, or even just look at it if you weren't allowed to you would die.
2:18:20
I love how Arthur from RDR 2 is just... There lmao
You do such a good job at grasping the viewers attention in the beginning. It's like a literal trailer of the game at the start and the music and everything is so captivating. Truly a master at his craft.
do you know what the music is?
Holy hell that was an astonishing journey. My favorite part is where there weren't any characters just spewing paragraphs of information dumps. It's basically all told thru the environment. Shits amazing.
Yes! Reminds me of some old school horror computer games like Myst & 11th Hour. Where everything is discovered through the environment rather than endless talking to NPCs. Also where you only get tiny pieces of the puzzle at a time.
I’m only 1/4th of the way through the video…but I wish they gave a way for you to understand the Morse code in the phone calls inside the game. Especially the one saying “I’m in the mine” as I’m assuming those are possibly from his brother.
Can you imagine if this was remade in Unreal engine for computer?! It could 100% be absolute nightmare fuel! To have been made entirely using Dream…it is still *extremely* creepy & complex. 10/10 for what it is!
The way i interpret the carbon monoxide scene is that the angel offered you an alternate fate, a nicety to help cope with what you saw.
The end of the game shows us that every light orb we see in our journey is a human soul, so i see it as angels saving humans from the aliens
The music that played when IGP was going to start up the particle accelerator was my favourite in the whole game! I wish I could just listen to that
I think "the moment never lasts" means that another you, another otto will eventually come around to restart the cycle (kill you, kill otto)
This was a ride =) also in the graveyard at 1:57:10 you have two gravestones Bill Waters and next to it Calvin Hobbs, looks like a Bill Watterson the creator of Calvin and Hobbs reference X)
Glad someone else saw this!
the best comic ever was referenced by my favourite game dev :D
DUDE 😂 I legit had a nightmare that Cthulhu was taking over a small town and I was one of the few survivors, running away from both Mind controlling wormy things and people that had been fully manipulated by the madness 😅 was terrifying, but made me think of You, IGP lol
was that a dream or a vision of an alternate universe!? like damn that's terrifying-
@@DaeneiracornIdk 😂 it was pretty vivid, but VERY video game style mapping… like we were all on the coast of some random DARK city/town… couldn’t go anywhere beyond the border of the road (that was blocked off like we had an objective we had to complete to move on or somthing)
Cthulhu himself would appear very slowly from Underwater, then walk away. You could see a Bright ass light through the thick fog, Allowing you to see his Silhouette. You could see him doing Somthing, then going underwater and it repeated that over and over…
It was creepy Af 🥲 but so interesting.
Some of the people were familiar, others were complete strangers. Some were yelling and cursing at me and the other survivors and chasing us, some were just Stuck in some wide-eyes trance, facing the blackness of the ocean and fog… it was trippy.
@@Daeneiracornit’s also worth mentioning that I’m tapering off of Venlafaxine, so I tend to have ridiculously vivid dreams like this 😂😅
I have about a week left of this “detox” so, Yay Me 😅
Creepy Enough: this game map is almost exactly like my dream 😳 holy Sht (minus the aliens and Daylight, add Cthulhu and the sounds of screaming)
@@k7l3rworkman97 damn-
This game is absolutely art. It was so well done, it led us (you) from one surprise into the other. I think the developer and his team did an absolute amazing job creating this. This is spot on
My boy looked directly at the ark of the covenant and said "what is this?" and opened it.
The "I don't think I can fit, this hole wasn't made for me" bit is a Junji Ito reference.
Dangit, I made the same connection, but I didn't see your comment until after I made my own. I even looked for a while first, too.
But yeah, it immediately popped into my head as soon as I saw the super thin hallway, and then he hit the human shaped opening. Weird story but still interesting.
Never really seen a story that attempted to mix Lovecraftian cosmic horror monsters with more grounded (if you can say that) contemporary UFO lore like the orbs and the tic-tac, and then that fascinating Abrahamic imagery worked into it all. That was super cool! Dreams is the kinda engine I would have assumed that Sony released and everybody ignored except for meme games, so it's awesome to see that there are people who actually genuinely get such use out of it.
This is the ONLY CZcamsr I can watch for 2+ hours and be entertained THANK YOU for the video
2:05:05 “that’s not normal”… like the past 2 hours of the play through has been not normal 😂😂
I got used to seeing games pop up here that IGP just plays a bit of and leaves us to play the rest. Nromally that's just fine and helps those who made the game, but this time it isn't easy to get the game and sitting here with a 2 and just over a half hours of rather fantastic gameplay, commentary, edits, and reactions was just a joy to listen to, and watch.
Thank you IGP and crew.
I love how IGP just reduces my anxiety level everytime he plays a horror game.Unlike the others,he can make a horror game less scary and more comedic at the way he plays the game. Also,if a video is over 2 hours long, you know that IGP loves it
18:25 can we all talk about how creepy the subliminal is that even though he didnt know what the morse said at the time he had the urge to look around and felt watched?
My brother made a huge contribution to the development of dreams which was the platform this games designer used to make this game, his name is John Beech and he works at Media Molecule in Guildford, he also pretty single handedly invented and made a train game called Tren!
OMG, Dude, I would have never thought you would play Dreams! I've been using Dreams since the beta from 2019, I'm glad someone like you is realizing just how special this is.
That moon scene straight from 2001: Space Odyssey was REALLY awesome, esp with the clear inspiration from that movie with the black time travel rectangles
Dude, this is AMAZING. I’m only halfway though and happily taking my time watching it. Unbelievable HOW this was made in addition to the scope. Game designers everywhere should take note, this is how you do it!
what an absolute wild ride this game was. So insanely creative, imaginative and eerie. thanks IGP for uploading this and other games I never would have heard of if not for you. This really blew me away, honestly better than a majority of triple a games these days.
I always thought that The Hole had something to do with James turning into an alcoholic and trying to fill the void of Mary dying. I think if you visit the bar in the other it says something different. Crazy though that had a huge impact on me as well. It must be the age we were when the game came out.
Yep when you come back it says :
"If you ReaLly wAnt to sEE Mary, you shOUld just DiE. But You mIght be hEadiNg to A diffErent place than MARY, James."
😍 Over 2 hours? Perfect to put on to watch while finishing paperwork.
Edit: Wow. Still in the first few minutes and I'm so impressed by the way everything looks.
Cosmic horror and plague doctors?? 10/10 game. Plus the teleportation device where the sign says "Please keep your eyes closed" reminds me of the Stephen King short story "The Jaunt". If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it.
The amount of DEDICATION in this game to LITERALLY EVERYTHING culturally relevant to aliens, supernatural, biblical, etc. is amazing by itself but then to sit through and make it through DREAMS is SUCH a feat. Absolutely blown away!
IGP opened my eyes about cosmic horror when I played his gameplay on Call of Cthulhu, ever since i watched all of his video and now it's like my first time again watching him play this game.
Love the feels of coziness and fear that this game gives. It made my heart jumps from joy! Props to the person who made this game!
I like how IGP casually opened the Ark of the Covenant without realizing it
What part? Idk what that is
@IGP 1:23:00 the box you opened is the ark of the covenant which is where the 10 commandments are supposed to be held
@@IGPit was also featured in the 1981 historical documentary _Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark_
The facts this was made in Dreams is phenomenal. This it the kind of thing i was hoping for when they first announced Dreams and i am beyond impressed
The pure, child-like wonder and awe in your voice was such a balm to my soul today Indy, thank you 🫶 I will be playing this game asap, and I hope you can find more games that make you this happy to make content with for us!
I love when IGP releases a 1 hour or more long video❤
Right
@IGP The Calvin Hobbs tombstone is a tribute to the comic series of Calvin and Hobbes. He's a 9 year old with a stuffed tiger named Hobbes. Heavy on existentialism and rhetoric. It's a great and witty comic strip series. I recommend it for the kids
Was going to bring this up, but you did already. I loved Calvin and Hobbes!
@@shintaco7517 I did too. I have all the collection series here at the house. Still read it to the kids
Was looking for this comment lol. As was the tombstone next to it ‘bill waters’. Even though Calvin and Hobbes creator’s real name was Bill Waterson. Was cool to see.
I like that regardless of if the time travel and crazy stuff is considered real or not, the aliens and souls definitely still are. It's interesting to think about.
I bet Jack would absolutely love this game. Seeing giant monster on a distance is his favorite thing in games
Time for an era of relaxation with a 2hr igp video ( paradise )
"Live on time" backwards is "Emit no evil," and im just now realizing it at over two hours in 😅
Edit: also, "Are we not drawn onward to new era?" Man, this game has so much more going for it than recent AAA titles!
I love how effortlessly the scare transitions look. The ghost making you turn around and run back then having to go to her only to have it as the right way to go was oddly satisfying for me
whenever i'm playing a game and I end up clipping through the floor I have always felt a feeling of deep unease...now I know it's because i've always been terrified of the thought of some massive monster under the world turning it's head to look at me...thanks for revealing this new fear to me IGP & Mankindfilm.
This is insane game design. I played LBP and made levels there that involved so many intricately crafted parts. Dreams, LBPs game design sequel, is next level and the fact that it’s a whole game inside a game is mind blowing! Thanks for sharing and giving recognition to the designer!
It's actually my birthday today, and I'm spending it watching this whole playthrough!
Couldn't have asked for a better present.
Simple things in life,I say.
Happy birthday. Enjoy!
You’re so awesome for commentating on the behalf of the creator the fact that you do that is why I love your videos and your entire commentation on the whole video. Besides, the commentator is the reason why I listen to you your advice and opinion makes me want to watch gameplay just as much as it maybe cosmic.
Well done, Dev. You dun did good. Super clever setups for scares, great tension building, and most impressively, for me, created a world that was incredibly mysterious, made zero sense, explained nothing, but in the best way possible. Dev deserves a good quality cookie.
I love how IGP has no sense in Time and how advanced technology is in it.😂 "Oh a gameboy, you are an oldschool" meanwhile he is in the year 1995. IGP sees lockers "In 1888? I don't think so game" meanwhile Lockers were invented in 1786 and had almost 100 years to evolve to these kind of storage lockers.
This game is incredible! Reminds me of call of Cthulu. The developer is a gaming genius especially using Dreams. Worth the wait. 👍 Great job playing through this one. Was so worth the wait.
Remind me of Solus the even ripped a sound from it.
This is ur first video ever that I didn’t watch in parts but I watch it all in one sitting I couldn’t put it down! What an incredible beautiful master piece this game is, I kept making up my own ideas of what was am going on in this game I needed more, I hope the creator gets all the love and support he deserves 👽
You made this guy a lot of money posting this. Hopefully, he will continue. I love supporting these single-dev games. God bless.
Damn! This developer really did their homework on the Biblical/Apocryphal lore. I’m only an hour and a half into the video, and I’ve already seen multiple Bible verses, accurate angels, and the literal Ark of the Covenant.
Not to mention, that stone circle with the two pillars in it at 1:35:00 is a real place; it’s called Gobekli Tepe and it’s an actual archeological site in Turkey. Those pillars are the world’s oldest known megaliths, and nobody knows about them; talk about a deep cut. 🤯
Yes! You caught the reference!
This was awesome. Give an applause to the creator for this beautiful, awesome game.
Soo... I came here at 1:26:02 watching Lake Juniper video (when it was said, that he's gonna tell some spoilers).
I am genuinely astonished by this dev's craftsmanship. I got ultimate Evangelion vibes from Juniper and this one is just impossible.
He's like young Kodzima. I would really love to see him grow and receive sufficient funds to create a full-blown pc/console title.
First time I watched this channel was a cosmic horror because I love them. I've been hooked to this channel ever since with everything. Love it man keep it up!
This game is so awesome, I was interested in the mineral and just tried to google it, I found out that the author literally asked on a miners reddit for reference on the mines and has his own reddit for the game.
That is so awesome, you really feel like he poured his heart into it :3

Dude this person man, all I gotta say. Man this person haves good creativity, I'm so hooked in this storytelling. Thank you IGP man
An absolutely stunning accomplishment. I'm giving this crew my support for sure
This was something amazing. I played around with Dreams a little a few years ago and could not imagine that it was possible to create a game like this. True work of art and really, Sony should be showcasing this as a premier example of what their engine can be used for.
Fair play for putting in the effort of translating morse code. I was gunna do it myself because I like to fully immerse myself in the game, respect 👍🏼
As a person who loves horror games, I see as a really fun game
Who agrees?
Nothing, out of this entire game with all of its amazing twists and turns and story- had me more confused than that NPC dressed exactly like Arthur Morgan showing up.
The dread feeling toy get through the whole game play is incredible.
Something most games lack in this has lacklustre of it. Amazing.
Thank you IGP, my mates never made it to Saturday night video games, so I stayed up watching this and building miniatures and it was an amazing solo night, I haven’t had this much fun since watching your Call of Cthulhu play through. You are an amazing lovecraftian/horror gamer and have led me and my friends to many amazing memories playing games you’ve showcased on you channels ❤

I like the fact that IGP actually.
Makes his voice echo and be not echoing in a small space or well Make his voice integrated into the actual environment It's just so cool I love his editing!!!!!!

2:16:14 it's a reference to a horror manga made by Junji Ito's The Enigma of Amigara Fault, at least I think, correct me if I'm wrong!
Bingo
holy shrimp.... the ending gave me goosebumps.... what a pearl of a game O.O
This was a great watch. Fun setting and open without being overwhelming. Loved it.
Thanks for posting this. I'm gonna to go watch more of your videos now.
i love the energy IGP has in games. This looks amazing!
IGP's 1 hour videos are the best and his 30 minutes videos with all these horror game
I have been watching for a while and just got back into your content, and dude your reactions are still so good.
Many thanks for translating the Morse for us! Also the capsule ships are totally a ref to an irl Air Force ufo sighting, I love that
Your audio edits for whatever environment you were in was awesome man! Very immersive haha
“that’s not a island” “that’s not a rock” this caused me to panic
I have so many thought and theories about what I just witnessed, that was an incredible journey. I wish I was able to play it for myself but alas, thankfully you've made an amazing video out of it and if your other content is anything like this, then I just found a cool new channel to keep an eye on :)
