@IGP just to answer your question of what would happen. we wouldn't even make it to Jupiter before everything and everyone on the planet froze solid. The distance we are from the son is the "Goldilocks' Zone", which is the actually scientific term, for a planet to sustain our type of carbon based lifeforms. Just thought Id share that since you asked, i used to be a Mechanical Aerospace Engineer before getting disabled and choosing to try out CZcams instead. So i studied A LOT of Astrophysics
IGP the GOAT! Thank you for supporting my sophomore efforts! Next one’s going to be in unreal engine! Saving for a PC to make it happen.
Looking forward to that! You do great work!
Excited to see what you can do you already ha g e a great grasp of horror and design love your work
Nice, you do great work. Hope you get a really good Computer
What is GOAT?
Oh wow it's going to be awesome i bet
Good luck with your future stuff
This developer got their aesthetics on point; Perfectly mixing religious, alien, Lovecraftian, and more modern horror into one wild experience!!! Thanks for doing this game too!!!

How many wings and how many eyes at the end?
Fun little detail! At the beginning when youre looking in that hole theres a chain link fence with an "anti-climbing" angle on the top. Theyre usually angled outwards so that people cant climb the fence. Both those ones are angled inwards which means theyre trying to keep something in...
What's the time stamp?
Great catch!

As someone who’s completely fascinated by cryptids, words can’t describe how good this is.
How different are they to the monsters from the SCP foundation?!
@@alxxzEXTREMELY far off, but really not that off
an SCP can be, really anything. A ghost, an interdimensional horror, but what makes it an SCP is that it's written to be part of that fandom, it's usually an entity that's been documented by the foundation. A cryptid is more of an urban legend type of thing. Something you'd see stalking the wood at night and captured on a night-vision camera. I don't really see this monster as a cryptid, it's a lovecraftian horror which SCPs can be.
@@BozoTheGreatCare to clarify?!
@@alxxz i mean, it's hard to explain, but I'll explain anyways. And don't worry, I know a good bit about SCPs.
Ok, so cryptids are like a more unimaginable horror, and in this video, it specifically focuses on primordials, which are basically ancient aliens so powerful and otherworldly that anything of human comprehension can't *possibly* imagine. SCPs on the other hand are more like extreme horror, something not exactly anybody can come up with, but maybe think about. For example, there's an SCP that I don't remember the designated number for, but it's called something like "when day breaks" which is when everything and everyone, basically dies.
SCPs are like a worse case scenario kind of thing, while cryptids and primordials or more on the psychological side. Just play dead space 2, and you'll know what I mean
The scene with the giants playing music always makes me think of the Cthulhu Mythos with Azatoth being kept asleep by the beings playing endless music around him. Also, I think what I love most about the games by this dev is just how surreal and dreamlike they feel. You have these clearly supernatural events going on (the fallen angel things just walking around in broad daylight, the house that's bigger on the inside, etc.) but no one really seems to care. The whole thing is just a trip lol
It's "dreamlike" and it's made in dreams
@@halothewhitewolf Lol yeah right after posting that comment I had a big face palm moment when I realized the unintentional pun I made. :P
@@StalwartTirith you did good young one
@@StalwartTirith jk
also very biblical as part of the old "coming of the end of days" has the blowing of trumpets with each one triggering a major disaster till finally with the seventh one the gates of hell are open onto the earth, which would also tie into the giants and the fallen angel the main character keeps seeing - as those giants could be the Nephilim of the old testament aka beings born of angel and humans.
18:00 Can we get a couple of likes of appreciation for the echo effect IGP puts on his voice when he's in environments that would sound that way?
11:30, the way IGP just stood there for a moment to process what was happening was GOLD
It is so wild to me how intelligent and talented undiscovered people are making these games for fun. Hollywood can't write a good story to save its life but this guy not only fully understands cosmic horror but made a game that represents it better than most media I've seen has made in decades.
Nope, Hollywood can't. Hence the strike. Why pay talentless hacks that keep reusing story beats when AI can do the same exct thing for pennies. Solidarity and all, but come on... I wouldn't pay most of 'em either.
Sorry can you explain a meaning of "cosmic horror" to me pls.😅
@@Mr_C0mment its horror that tries to work with elements of fear of the unknown and beyond our understanding
@@elliotwintersdemanagabei9437 oh ok. 👍
@@Mr_C0mment you know how most pop culture aliens and monsters are kind of very human in a sense that we can easily imagine how they look or act and are mostly humanoid or animalistic or some weird blend of both?
Well throw that out of the picture, we can't understand what these beings are, they are completely unknown and intangible to us, that is cosmic horror. Not being able to understand what you are seeing and feeling.
Basically, the idea that these entities are so alien that we have never ever in history of humanity seen something comparable, thus have no point of reference for what it is.
"The Nothing is coming." From The Neverending Story. The Great Nothing, swept over Fantasia as a dark and dangerous storm. Used Gmork as its harbinger. Great reference!
I'm thrilled that I'm not the only one that knew the reference. It's part of my childhood.
Alright… so my guess was right
I wonder if anyone/company will do a revamped version of the never ending story!
Omg, all I remember of that movie was that dragon thing
@@summer5413 Falkor, the luck dragon.
bro the reveal of the monster mixed with the amazing cinematography and insane music makes this just nightmare fuel
Damn poor Juni, it was just vibing man.
Also if any planet would ever get that close to us the whole planet would be ripped apart, but on the bright side you wouldn't be alive to witness that as the gravitational pull would completely flood the planet long before we'd even be able to observe a real difference with the naked eye.
I'm so excited for this! Isle of Eras has me convinced anything made by this game developer is sure to be stellar and hit in a way that's hard to articulate. It was truly something special, so I can't wait to see what's in store for this one. Really glad to see these longform videos to showcase such great games lately.
You said it better than I could have!!!!
I remember writing off Dreams as just a giant meme back when it first came out. Dudes making fake Animal Crossing and stuff. And then I watched the Isle of Eras video and the whole time I was thinking "No way..."
I hate the fact that while I was watching this my mind immediately went to “what if the lockness is just attached to the actual thing?”
"The nothing is coming"
*Proceeds to have flashbacks to the horse dying in the swamp and dog dragon getting erased...*
The entirety of the blue rock that surrounds him in 1:23:50 is so freakin' gorgeous, I want to be there in real life. It's so beautiful in fact I just made it my new wallpaper.
Indy, honestly bro, I really Really wish people would develop more Cosmic Horror games. They are my absolute favorite horror type to play, as I know they are for you too. Theyre amazing to play, have amazing intricate storylines and are super fun to record and share.
i agree these types of games are very fun and IGP is amazing at doing them.
What would probably happen after getting to close too Jupiter is that the immense gravity of it would exert extreme tidal forces on the Earth. One side of Earth would experience much greater gravitational pull from the gas giant than the other side of the planet. Depending on how close, that would be really bad. Jupiter actually has a moon called Io which has extreme volcanism thanks to the tidal forces exerted on it by Jupiter. Here, the Earth would probably get ripped apart, the Earth's gravity would no longer be able to prevent things from falling towards Jupiter's gravity instead, and that includes the ground. Earth would be reduced to a small (compared to Jupiter) ring of rock and debris.
I came to the same conclusion but not as detailed I heard him ask and I just said we would be screwed
based
@@justincrotts
also, if the earth even managed to not get destroyed, radiation would kill everything on earth, jupiter emanates more radiation than it goes into it, thats why no matter if there is water on one of its moons, we cant go there without getting radiated to death.
@@justincrotts i literally just said, out loud, "we'd all be f'ing dead". the f'ing was NOT censored irl.
Absolutely love the way you play with audio. Adding echo when walking down hallways, entering caves and so on makes the experience even more immersive. Great job indeed.
That text around the X next to the door at 23:24 looks like urban S&R tagging to me, top numbers is the date the dwelling was checked (missing the time below it though), left capitals are the department/team who did the search, the D at the bottom signifies the found dead people, no other indicators telling you they found living people. On the right are potential hazards or other things that you should know. In this case, NA , guessing Not/None Available.
You know you've succeeded when IGP makes hour long videos and gives an entire introduction before playing both of your games
Tq for the heart!
Dozens of lakes around the world are said to have a giant lizardlike monsters, Loch Ness is just the most famous and they're generally named after the lake. Lake Juniper: Juni, Loch Ness: Nessi, Lake Champlain: Champ, etc
All these stories of lake monsters like nessi are all based on an actual dinosaur too lol.. It would be cool if they were still around but I remember seeing a tv show (I think) about a team of researchers searching loch ness and they said it would be impossible for something like that to be in there without real proof..
And lake Baikal has a few weird happenings and monsters!
@@lololollololol629 The problem with a lot of Cryptid sightings is simple numbers, a creature as large as Nessie could not live in such a small body of water without being obvious as hell, and it would not be alone. This is what people often forget, a creature cannot live on its own, it needs a population of hundreds, if not thousands, to survive. Unless all the lakes across the world were somehow linked to a single, Hollow Earth, ocean then they simply could not exist.
@@lololollololol629not a dinosaur a reptile, a plesiosaur
The painting at 1:04:04. I'm surprised IGP doesn't know Everywhere At The End of Time, but I think that'd be just the vibe for him. May the ballroom remain eternal.
this one REALLY reminded me of the game inside, just with how unexplained and weird everything is, all of this worldbuilding that's just there and isn't talked about at all. what an amazing game, i can't wait to see what this dev does next!
now that i think about it that’s exactly what i was thinking, minus the fact i didn’t compare it to INSIDE at until i saw this comment (good comparison, makes sense)
The way you edit your voice when you’re in underground areas or underwater is phenomenal and I almost think it’s just part of the game. Thanks for another entertaining watch 💕
I can’t get over how cool this is! I’m always so amazed by passionate games done in dreams and how unexpectedly packed with content it is! This game and the creator’s previous game absolutely blows my mind
Having Thalassophobia this will be a great video to watch.
@@boussolefiresame here… I hate the ocean, lakes, and any deep/big body of water. My wife had me going night snorkeling and night scuba diving in Jamaica for our honeymoon. They gave us only 1 underwater flashlight to use during night snorkeling; I took that shit so quick out of my wife’s hand, and was spazzing out looking all over. Being able to see was worse! I saw all the sea slugs, urchins, eels, sea snakes, barracuda (and other predatory fish, crabs/lobsters/shrimps that were named as ghost “crustacean name” that lit up in the dark water. I was scared out of my fucking mind 😂!!!!! The night snorkeling was worst than the night scuba diving! It doesn’t help that I was baked for both of these experiences too, thinking that it would calm my nerves down (it did not)…!!!!!!
@@cejara1801 you’re right being able to see the bottom is the worse for me
@@boussolefire I figured out last year how bad my phobia of the sea is when I thought 'it would be better if I could see my feet.' Where I live the sea always has a brown hue because it's always churning the sand up. (So) Last year in Spain noticing how clear and gorgeous the water was I started to wade in. And suddenly I could see every stone warble beside my feet, all the tiny fish hovering by my hips, every large stone reminded me of a shark and every step I took felt like I was gonna stand on something with nippers.
Some of us aren't supposed to be in the water.... and that's sooooo okay with me.
@cejara1801 Also, how the hell did you do that? How did you PHYSICALLY get in the water to do that? I'd have been screaming.
@@melanieturquoise1111 that’s why I’m land locked lol
This is a great game! I love the idea of how the town is a much more "normal" environment compared to the lake, and how the game sort of takes the underwater aspect of the game from Subnautica, but combines with a much more domestic terror, that being that something as terrifying as a alien sea monster isn't as many lights years away as you thought it was...
(For those wondering the deepest lake in the world is Lake Baikal which is 1.6 km (5300 ft) deep!)
this developer creates really trippy, unique and original games. we need more like this, by which i mean such different artistic ideas. can't wait for you to play the next one IGP.
Thank you IGP. I'm drunk and high off my face and you always somehow make me feel alive and always supply the gold content even when you scream. I love you Brodie I wish we could be friends :(
Thank you for introducing me to this game! It is exactly what I look for in cosmic horror. Inexplicable events, subverting the percieved natural order and mind-bending epic scale. I can hardly imagine what the creator could do with a bigger budget and team.

The Nothing is coming from The Never-ending Story
At 39:20 when IGP is seeing the tree suspiciously in the lake there also seem to be GIANT antlers/horns like Juni is supposed to have surrounding it.
Jumpscares usually dont get me, but that monster appearing outside of the hug cave got me for some reason. On the other hand, its always funny to see you lose it over harmless stuff
at 1:04:04 is the cover art for stage 6 of everywhere at the end of time, the albums representing all 6 stages of dementia. it truly is an experience to listen to the whole project at once

I LOVE Castle Crashers!! I used to play it all the time when I was younger! 21:44
These games are a trip, man. I love the spectacle of it all, but that's also kind of its downfall imo. There's so much weird shit going on the entire time that it blunts the shock value of the cosmic horror stuff.
But then, I mean, it IS made in dreams so the dreamlike qualities are baked in lol. It's absolutely amazing for what it is.
These games are legendary! My GOD, it has a level of detail and environmental story telling that no other game can even remotely match. There is always something unique and so freakishly fresh and unique. I can't wait for the next game coming from this group!
It feels like a smaller Skyrim in a way tbh I love it
This video and Isle of Eras have become comfort videos for me to listen to while I work~
12:15 Oh wow, was that Chavez on the wall?? Amazing, I love this already
"El chavo del 8"
I am SO glad this guy has another game. I am SO in love with and invested in Isle of Eras and now this one! The setting and atmosphere are unreal, and it's such a captivating take on cosmic horror
always love these horror game videos, makes my day listening to IGP's screams as he gets jumpscared and stuff
That was amazing! Clearly had a lot more time, effort and love put into it than a lot of games nowadays.
32:57 "oh! A pool! 'No diving'?" Proceeds to dive into pool
It is so cute and adorable that he plays Castle Crashers with his kids. I used to play that with my brother and my friends when I was younger.
Lake Juniper? Isn't Camp Crystal Lake near there? And bigfoot?
You know what? You know it will be good when IGP is excited and giggly within the first minute.

THE NEVERENDING STORY!!!!
Love this series, can't wait until the next one comes out. Literally sending shivers down my spine with amazing storytelling!
Dude…
How long does it take to make all of this?! Especially that blue cavern?! Incredible, just incredible.
I get to know your channel by a friend, at the Subnautica gameplay years ago, and since then, can´t get enough of it, all the videos have this charming thing tha grabs you like Cthulu´s tentacles. Keep the great work man.
I love the little touch of added echoing in the rooms, really adds to the horror!
Your commentary is hilarious. One of the rare channels where I actually enjoy the commentary of the guy playing.
At the crows nest the painting with cardboard and blue tape is a reference to the music artist "the caretaker " and that painting is one of the song covers to the dementia album
Man the editing is off the charts as always!! I love to find the subtle things like applying reverb when you enter tunnels at 12:00
The Never ending story reference unlocked some deep childhood memories. Great video as always IGP. ALSO i think doing a multiplayer video in Castle Crashers would be amazing, maybe with Icy.

I just love how he tells Juni to just shut the front door, and gently.
1:13:53 The eyes and head slightly remind me of the "Sea Emperor" from Subnautica.
Overall love the game footage, keep up the great work.
1:06:52 - Never Ending Story reference, loved that movie.
These two videos have been my favorite of yours. I love how this developer makes games, and you are the perfect person to watch play them. Thank you for making my late night watching hours so much fun 🔥
Bro this was so amazing, the added echo to his voice in the cave 14:47
Juni is sometimes mistaken as an Island
It reminded me to *Uroboros* in God Eater
Norn Database says:
*It's as big as a mountain and it travels mostly on the sea.*
*Sometimes it can even jump higher than a plane can fly*
Also, the theme to fight this thing is called *The March of Evil*
I always love when a IGP video comes out no matter how long it is it’s always amazing
44:20 bro makes the same SeaNanners reference I make all the time! I love it
Throwback quote 44:21 from GassyMexican from back in the day - caught me off guard! Enjoy the voice effects too when you go into tunnels and stuff - it's the little things that show off the effort.
The guy who made these in dreams is a living legend
Yo IGP. Haven’t been active on CZcams for a while. Was in a dark place but your videos helped me escape once again. Thank you so much for your amazing gameplays! I see you got more subscribers. Big congrats!
I'm not sure if this is mentioned or if its mentioned enough but, your actually really good at editing (or your editor, whichever you have), with how your transitions are or how you add an echo when you talk at certain parts of a game where there might be an echo. Keep it up IGP :)
I would love to watch a movie where there's this super crazy scary supernatural place and a guy like IGP is just running around screaming and cursing and being sarcastic while getting involved in it. Would be so scary and so funny at the same time.
another hour-long vid about how IGP reminiscing on yet another mind-blowing game, sweet.
So I watched this then I watched Isle of Eras, and I think this game is set in a completely different universe within the multiverse that was mentioned at the end of Isle of Eras. Otto mentioned that it never lasts which makes me think James and Otto are constantly going through these cosmic horror situations because they messed with the multiverse and time travel. They go to one universe and it starts to bleed into other worlds and collapse and so they move on to the next one and the next one, so on and so forth.
IGP aggressively knocking over the effigies makes my day
I don't play scary games that much, but I enjoy watching your videos and seeing how the game turns out.
The games you play have wicked graphics
@1:04:04 I can't believe that IGP didn't recognize the empty canvas as a reference to TheCareTaker's "Everywhere At The End Of Time". Maybe he should listen to it if he has over 6 hours to spare.
was looking for this comment, glad someone else saw it:)
The game gives me the feeling it had more then one possible ending just by the choices your character makes. Not really sure though if it does but would give a unique experience none the less.
21:43 I did not expect IGP to start talkin about Castle Crashers (also known as the most goated childhood game for me)
Much Love. I love all of you and your friends! Happy New Year.
It must be so awesome to watch someone play your game and you know what’s gonna happen while you wait for there reaction

Lake Baikal in Siberia is the deepest lake on Earth at 1700 meter (1.7km) depth. Lake Vostock in Antarctica is also up to 1200 meters deep at its deepest part (with an average depths of 344m), but it has an ice shield above it of a thickness of 3700m to 4100m.

The sea nanners morgan freeman " i can smell you" legendary!
(Spoilers for Isle of Eras) The portal symbol from Eras appears on James' car window, tying the link between the two games even tighter. If I had to guess Juni was likely one of the angels from the Isle of Eras setting, and the events here are of the James and Otto of this timeline, either before James found Otto and the two of them took over for this universe, or just a different one entirely.
IGP playing castle crashers with his kids is such a heartwarming image
"the nothing is coming" Great The Neverending Story reference top tier.
imo, the key to a great eldritch horror (and any good story) is having a level of ambiguity in the story, so that all questions are not answered, leaving you to chew on what happened and consider multiple answers. This guy gets it.
