Not two minutes in and we see an OSHA violation. Certified Gamer Moment.
Perfect videogame logic
Dev here, first off the support you guys have given Fossilfuel is fantastic and all I can say is that doing dev work is hard as hell and seeing these comments makes it all worth it. IGP, your videos are amazing! I’m actually blown away by some of the shots you got in this, particularly for the opening.
You guys rock!

great game
Dinosaurs and IGP go together like peanut butter and jelly.
Reminds me of "The Isle" days with Icy, good times.
yeah but i also think cryptid hunting games pair well also, cant wait for bigfoot 5.0
@@RiftVT true that. Those old Bigfoot videos are top shelf comedy. They thought the flare was a fuckin shooting star 🤣🤣
Didn’t think anyone would so much as mention the Isle again. Makes me want to check it out even if there’s almost no one playing .
That was the first video i saw of IGP. He was playing with ICY and out of nowhere ICY passes running screaming his lungs out in front of IGP and when IGP looks, he had a big damn dinosaur running behind him. It was damn hillarious.
@@masacross8551 oh yeah man, some of us been around for awhile lol. And now I gotta go watch those videos again.
Facts for those who didn't already know:
1. Dunkelosteous is a species of Devonian period fish called a placaderm. Dunkleosteous lived before the dinosaurs and thus did not co exsist with them or any other mesazoic era life forms.
2. The giant insects in this video didn't exist during the time periods mentioned in their cards. However, giant insects and arthropods did exist before in the carboniferous period before the dinosaurs. Back then, oxygen levels were higher than today, meaning insects grew much larger. Meganura was an egale sized dragonfly. There was a human sized centipede called Arthuropluera, and many more.
Edit: assasin bugs did exist in the Middle jurassic. They just were not that large in real life, my apologizes
3. Dilophosaurus not only didn't spit venom or had venom at all, but it also didn't have the frill seen in the films and was much larger, growing to be 23 feet in length and weighing up to 400 kilograms!
4. Dinosaurs are awesome and always will be!
5. Science is awesome!
Is Placaderm pronounced like Plaque (stuff on teeth) or like Placid?
@@seanrosenau2088 The term means Plate Skin, and is derived from the latin word "plakos".
Cool, thanks.
@@seanrosenau2088 the stuff on teeth
@@gavinkailey527 Nice. Thanks for the answer.
The intro VA went to the "Joshua Tomar School of Voice-Coaching" and skirted by with a solid C+.
sounds like a ford commercial lmao
Fun fact, bugs did in fact get massive back then. They have an open circulatory system (they absorb oxygen basically through their body unlike a closed system which we have) The oxygen levels were super high so they got huge, thankfully now they cant get that big though because i definitely do not have a shoe big enough to squish them otherwise XD
NOT THAT BIG! This one that looked like a praying mantis, grasshopper existed that was the size of your arm though.
There was also the Meganeura which was a dragonfly almost as big as your arm and a wingspan of 70 centimeters or 2.5 feet
@@thatoneweirdkid1375 The Mars Attacks artists did a trading card series in the 80s called Dinosaurs Attack and one card features Meganeura tearing someone's head open
@@thatoneweirdkid1375 also the Arthropleura which was an 8ft long millipede which weighed about 50kg. Just a chonk of a bug.
Im fine with millipedes being that long because they are herbivores(as far as i know) but i hope centipedes were never that size.😱🤢
Igp, I just lost my uncle, and I'm losing my grandma soon. I was not good, and this video brought me to my feet. Thank you ❤
Damn, I'm so sorry to hear :( try and keep your head up
Thats just the way of things. Consider spending as much time as you can with your grandma and if you cant call her and pray with her. We live to die in due time and although you will almost certainly feel the loss these things happen for a reason. Life can be good but what comes next can be even better. Godspeed my boy.
Stay strong buddy, I'm sorry for what you have to go through :( I'm sending hugs and all the strength you need! ❤
like igp said keep your head up dont grieve for losing them for they are gone live with them in happiness and memory for they have moved on to greater places and god willing you will see them again
I hope you find someone you can talk to. This stuff is hard to handle on your own. Seek someone out if you need help. Do not be afraid to express yourself
IGP: "He is so ugly"
Goliath: "Why you bullying me?"
Why are you trying to kill me!?
It's fun how the devs gave you a chance to play as a raptor for awhile. I only wish they gave the raptor a camera to clutch in one of its claws to take snapshots with as you mauled humans.
39:55 nah, Indie you just straight up left behind some flamethrower ammo…
Oh shit...
@IGP hey man I think there's a fake or impersonation account sending us their personal number check out my comment on here plesse
And the 2 grenades and magazine at 48:13 in the bottom right shelf.
Probably annoying having people point out all the items you missed which is actually quite few as you searched quite thoroughly.
23:13 the Devonian period was around 410 million years ago. For reference, the first dinosaurs were around 245 million years ago. The first trees are around 360 million years old. So the Dunkleosteus swam the seas before the first trees. It was a placoderm or armored fish I believe.
And if I remember correctly, its “teeth” are specialized jaw bones. And speaking of jaw bones, I believe that placoderms were one of the first vertebrates to have jaws at all.
Anything interesting you may find in this game are likely going to come from time periods in this order
Cambrian, Ordovician, Silurian, Devonian, Carboniferous, Permian, Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous, Paleogene, Neogene.
Unless I got something wrong. There are periods before the Cambrian, but life in the precambrian is not very complex. Jellyfish and sponges being amongst the most complex life I believe.
Unfortunately, the Neogene was rejected, so we are still considered to be in the Holocene.
This man's commitment to taking the dino's photograph in the face of extreme danger is remarkable
You know it's going to be an awesome game when you see a megalodon and a guy get crushed by a cargo container in the first minute
That "strange" fish is Dunkleosteus, at its time this armored plated fish is the Apxed predator that eats any thing in the devonian seas, including cannibalize the younger smaller Dunkleosteus.
Fun fact. I also believe it is the first recorded creature with a jaw which is made completely of bone
Also worth noting for IGP; its bite was calculated to be 80,000 PSI. It's "teeth" are actually sharpened extensions of its jaw bones.
That bite force is a big misconception. It's bite force was much, much lower, only around 4000 to 7000 pounds. The 80,000 PSI was calculated taking only the surface of it's front teeth into account. With that same logic, a common rat would have a bigger bite force than a saltwater crocodile because it's front teeth are so small. Heck, you could have the biggest bite force of any animal that ever lived if you removed your own teeth and replaced it with two needles meeting in the middle.
@@joost1120 I had a feeling the number was over-exaggerated but wasn't sure. I mean, T. Rex has a bite of 19,000 PSI and it had an actual neck to make its bites more damaging.
If u all watch BCC documentarys Running With Dinosaurs with Zoologist Nigel Marvin, using fact, and research that brought back (through cgi) the extinct prehistoric animals to life from beginning of life to the Ice Age, scientists believed that Dunkleosteus bit is so strong to bit through other armored fish, it can bit through modern chain mail that is shark proof(which during the age of Amphibians, the first sharks appear not as apex but prey to Dunkleosteus, marine reptiles, to the last large marine predator that hunts them the Balisaurus, until the modern age only the killer whale is the only marine animal that hunts sharks.
1:04 😨HIS SPINE! HOLY HELL HIS SPINE- he was DEAD before he was even fully crushed, dear god he SNAPPED in HALF!
11:18 I was hoping he would get that reference.
Yea, he had to die in the 10 ten worst ways... Also the poor guy on the cargo and then the meg eats him is insane aswell
20:51 I swear on my life, that exact frame, the rocks, the water and the lighting, was all in one of my thalassaphobia nightmares-
As a thalassophobic person, I agree with you. I can’t even swim in oceans or lakes most of the time. And pools sometimes, depending on the depth.
I got a 3 min ad about how to save a dog from choking there was no skip button
I am proud of CZcams for making it unskipable
I hated that
It's a sign... Unless you don't have a dog
you and me both❤😂
Dont have dog but did not get unskipable ad
That roar was so loud it stopped the music...I spit soda out my nose!!! Your games always brighten my day. 😂😂😂
The voice at the beginning reminds me of the movie tropic thunder.😂
Yessss
Robert Downey jr was the best part of that movie ngl
After going back and listening to it, you're 100% right. And now I have the urge to watch it... it's been a looong time since a movie made me laugh that hard and much. I miss great comedy
It should have been duke nukem
Actually IGP, bugs 300 million years ago on record that we know of, only grew to a staggering 28 inches. Maybe even longer. There might be a bigger fossil that we haven't found yet deep in the earth, but when we do it could be even longer. The reason it is so hard to find bug fossils is because when they decompose, most of their body disintegrates. Although Trilobites do not fully decompose, allowing their shell to fossilize.

IGP: *Pulls Out Gun* "No it ain't."
Holy crap that surf shark moment was the best skit ive ever seen lmaoooo
1:29:19 - Same... Maximus' dialog when betrayed("I knew you would do something like this") sounded like he might've mistrusted Jack from the start and would've left him for dead instead.
Capcom really should release Dino Crisis Remake with the amount of dinosaur horror games lately.
This is the second time I’m seeing this game, truly flabbergasting that this isn’t a relic of a better time.
“I feel like I should save but on a different save” proceeds to use same save 😂
This gives me early 2000 mechanics, love the nostalgia
This game looks like it was made with so much love and i... well love those types of games i really like when devs make the game they wanna make and enjoy it
It makes me happy for them
Dev here, thanks for the kind words! Means a lot!
@@dangerousbobstudioLLC keep doing what you do it's pretty nice!
I like how at 35:45 it says the system can pump out 20 tons of water an hour like that's a lot.
Water weights almost exactly 1 ton per cubic meter, so their system can only remove 20 cubic meters (about 706 cubic feet) per hour
That's less than 1/4 the volume of a standard semi-trailer.
In other words, the biggest leak the system could handle (where the pump rate would be equal to the flow of the leak) would be equivalent to a leak coming from a circular hole 6 inches in diameter with a flow rate of 1 foot/second
In other other words, it can't handle more than 5 garden hoses worth of water at a time.
Recommendation: Get better pumps
DINOSAURS! FUCK YEAH!
DINOSAURS! FUCK YEAH!
Dunkleosteus was a real prehistoric fish from before the dinosaurs. It had armor on the front part of its body and jaws literally like bear trap
First video I saw if yours man. It just came up on my feed and it was awesome! I'm definitely getting this game after seeing this 👌👏
the first 10 seconds, i hear the company, now my head canon is The Company from Lethal sent them over to the facility
"I love you"
"YOU ARE A PEICE OF ANIMAL FILTH"

I WATCHED EVERY DRIPS OF IT !
What really amused me is this guy, my guy IGP played Dino Crisis before.
My favourite CZcamsr all time !
I love watching these videos with the bass on, it's like I'm at the movie theater when the music hits!
Right at the start of it, there is a random guy talking about something so random and after, IGP is just laughing. Love it, classic IGP video.
The thumbnail already had me going, “WHAT!?!”. Excited to see this
38:14 “Can you repeat that..“ 😭😭
I really like the different approaches in this game. Fooster completely forgets about the camera, IGP here playing it like Pokemon on the N64
After playing so much Helldivers I now flinch whenever anyone reloads a mag that is still almost full.
This game went completely off the rails, especially towards the end.
are you a hammerskin
IGP YOU THE MAN FINISHING THE ROBO TREX IT TOOK FOOSTER A COUPLE TIMES BUT I RESPECT FOOSTER FOR THE ENDING OF THE GAME
Thank you for understanding what I meant friend!
The sounds really mix well with the actual gameplay. Graphically its it look new school while the sounds make it seem early 2000's or late 90's. And being inspired by Resident Evil & Dino Crisis makes it even more great
I can't believe I watched the whole thing and was riveted. Listening to IGP scream and narrate was hysterical. Loved it!
Such a dedicated photographer
Wait until he learns you can cheese bosses with nades, especially the first spino fight
It’s always nice to see IGP upload once I get off work. You’re awesome Indie, seriously!
A DUNKLEOSTEOUS? MAN I LOVE THEM.
Their teeth are made of bone and are self sharpening. Super cool. When IGP first died to it I saw it's teeth and wasn't sure but with the name drop I am. Awesome. :)
I need to rewatch the first fossil fuel again but I learned my lesson the first time and it's don't drink before a jump scare happens
i can't believe with all the dino games you've played, you'd never heard of dunkle before! also the computer talking shit to you was so funny, this game is great.
There is something about this game design and graphics/gameplay that is so inspiring, I just can't put my fingers on it, but it feels like this engine can make a thing never done before with the proper funding
36:25 is my favorite, where you triumphantly cackle with glee as you blast velociraptors!! 😂
The transition to the ad is magnificent.
1:07:30
This part reminds me to Turok, in multiplayer versus mode you were able to play as a raptor too
You should defintely play it! Is an amazing game for sure! Great puzzles, music, weapons, bosses, cyber dinosaurs
You're gonna love it
The Playing as Raptor Surprised me Since I were wondering if there were a game to play as a Dino like "Project Blackout's" Dino Mode.
Love IG fighting the blights the second time. Saying “Ah this corner tactic is way more effective” like he didn’t spend the first attempt trying to take pictures of all 30 😂😂
I just watched your E.X.P War Trauma video and you were right that game did put the P.T in PTSD I litterally screamed in class while watching it
Omg this couldn’t be any better IGP and Dino’s
The raptor part reminded me of Alien vs predators where you could play the Alien.
Thanks for the fun. ^^
OMG THIS IS LIKE DINO CRISIS HAD INDIE REMAKE WITH A TOUCH OF MUSIC FROM TUROK,,.I LOVE IT SO MUCH
I swear whenever I see IGP play something it makes me want to jump into the game and play too, infact I blame some of my inspiration on ICP, so big thanks buddy and keep up the hard works, I mean it, you are doing amazing
1:07 your reaction was hilarious 😆
Hey IGP im not the greatest subscriber but whenever i watch your vidoes i get to laughing and I just love your content. Thanks for being one of my favorite youtubers
When he woke up on the island and i saw the Brachiosaurus dino it reminded me of the one that died in jurassic park 😢 2:38
This is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time! Thank you! You definitely earned this sub 👍
IGP: i'll do anything for credits!
Also IGP: *nearly dies because he has his camera out the whole time*
The raptor part was so unexpected and so COOL, completely unexpected
22:52 love this bit, gets frightened and yells twice like Mario while blasting the heads off two utahraptors,
I love games like this sm i cant wait to snuggle up with my kitty and watch
gotta love the space odyssey throwback
This feels like a nice mix of Dino Crisis and Turok. Feel like there were many references to them, along with others I may not have caught.
The Dunkleosteus is an extinct genus of large arthrodire fish that existed during the Late Devonian period, about 382-358 million years ago. It was a pelagic fish inhabiting open waters, and one of the first apex predators of any ecosystem.
It was around 13-33 feet long and heavily armored for a fish.
The lead in to the sponsor was so deliciously spot on with timing wtf
Dunkleosteus
(Dunkle-au-stee-ous)
One of my favorite prehistoric animals
Man that intro had me laughing hard. It reminded me of the old narrator voice, "In a WORLD where X meets Y, you won't be able to take the amount of action when they collide--until Z makes a surprise appearance, back from the dead!"
Just goofy and over the top lol.
1:48 that scream was hilarious! 10/10 voice acting!

I'm single, no idea where my life is going, but at least I find myself humming along to your mission impossible bit. Thanks for the entertainment, as well as your content overall.
Oh, and this looks like a really well thought out game. Could you imagine it on a budget? You know what I mean?
that segue to the sponsor was on point! didn't see it coming :D
This reminds me of a game I played when I was younger Overblood on PS 1 and a mix of resident evil. This is awesome.

that sponsorship segue was sooo smooth!
I just wish you could make 10 videos every day lol that's how much I love your videos you are really underrated hope everything is going well
Would love to see you do a playthrough of Fossil Fuel 1, it's finished and I think you would enjoy it.
Love the long play throughs IGP
5:00 That was the AmongUs hacking style, I see you have a lot of practise with that :DDD
if they made a movie of this i feel like it would be so cheasy but at the same time enjoyable

Keep up your great work youve got me through so many hard times including my life rn thank you indy for being the best youtuber
The "weird fish" is called Dunkleosteus, the only part of its body that could be fossilized is its heavily armored skull. It is said that it could snap iron beams in half with its bite.
the chuckling at 10:06 sounds insane, maniacal, and happy at the same time
This is awesome!! I always wonder though, how do these characters have enough time to write notes? They are getting chased by dinos, they should be panicking, not looking for a pen and paper.
