Yeah that was really good, I think without music or cues it’s just that much scarier since you don’t know what’s happening til you see it. Like a predator tracking its prey without a sound

I love how in the age of gaming, everyone's instict with guns is to reload as often as possible, even after one shot...
there's a handful of games that punish you for doing so, plus you cant pick the mag back up after its been ejected/replaced. You are completely correct though! I always laugh at myself when i play a realistic reload game. Even after a couple times of realizing/messing up, in high pressure scenarios when there is a brief lull n targets/enemies... i will proceed to waste a near full mag & often times its my last reload, utterly dooming me LMAO
@Erosuorc had a game where you keep the mag but the number of shots inside remains, so if you shoot half and then reload, you still get to reload it later.

The amount of absolute terror I felt right there, yup. None of that jumpscare noisy screamy running at you monster, just a far too large thing crouching towards, with low light.
I really didn't think I'd feel something so horrible and I was just watching a video of someone playing. I don't even know how I'd feel if I was playing this myself and I don't know if I want to know.

The game conditioned me to A) shoot things because right after I shot the first shot, the train stopped, and B) question everything I see because I'm clearly going insane.

@@IGP I mean there was nothing telling you to shoot, no signifiers or signs telling you to use your gun, you just shot at random… I get that the train stopped as soon as you shot but that doesn’t imply causation, if it happened a second time then it’d be more likely, but seeing it once isn’t enough to assume the shot was the reason why it stopped.
I’m just saying this bc it feels unfair to say the game conditioned you to think shooting = results, you kinda did it to yourself… however it’s also just how our brains work, we try to make connections to explain things all the time, so I can’t fully blame you.

The dev absolutely nailed the terror aspect of this game. No loud music or sounds, just pure fear and dread as you make your way through a self-imposed purgatory.
The radio man really makes you-the player- feel bad😅

At the end there, when you turned around, i felt physically ill. That's the first time a game like this has ever made me feel this way. as always a great video.... jesus

God these body cam horror games are always top tier. I hate the perspective, it's so uncanny and weird.
It's perfect for a horror game. I love it, and the graphics of these small projects are always so impressive, I feel like this game must be photo scanned from real life.
It's absolutely perfect for a PT or Resident Evil style game, I love it.
Imagine a game played through the eyes of people in the environment, which are interactable.
Bodycam horror is immersive no matter how bad the graphics are, even more than standard FPS horror. That's why I'm too much of a coward to play one myself.

The graphics of this game are immaculate, its like real footage other than the picking things up aspect
Idk man. Seems pretty realistic to me. I go around grabbing up random stuff lying about like that all the time. Ive got like 4 dozen health packs, 10 quivers of fire arrows, a 6 pack of health potions, 3 stop signs, 4 mercedes benz, a sherman tank, a boeing 747, an entire mcdonalds restaurant and its staff, a keycard to umbrella corps secret underground lab, igp and several grizzly bears stored away and thats just the stuff in my attic.
Not trying to discredit the graphics, but I think it’s cool as to how they can pull the look off. Essentially the fish lens combined with the slight body cam distortion effect is what helps make it so realistic. If you removed those effects it wouldn’t look nearly as realistic. Games have come a long way and it’s so cool to see that.
@@Echo556_ games like this show how modern ones have regressed too in a way. The fact that many of us will turn our noses up at games with 4k next gen graphics made in unreal 5 by AAA studios then go play a game that looks like this instead says a lot. At the end of the day, an unfun game with pretty graphics is just a shiny turd. Cant speak for everyone but personally i dont enjoy playing with turds.
@@Coomamon_Memes this. Games focus way too much on looks, take a game like subnautica for example. Cartoony styling with less emphasis on realism and it's one of the best games on the planet.

I don’t get scared easily but this game, looks scary, I’m 100% gonna play this! I live that it’s not just the typical jump scares but invokes fear that slowly grows/builds up making you more and more paranoid and unsure of ur actions while you play the game, it’s genius! Thank you IGP for introducing me (and I’m sure many others) to games that, despite being beyond amazing, aren’t getting the attention they deserve!
I love it when IGP plays games like these, usually I don't have much of a reaction, but I actually felt like I was there, experiencing this and I grew increasingly unsettled as the video carried on, and I loved it.

I think you may also have to look at the blood spatter patterns on eh walls behind the people. Because only a few had what looked like impact spatters where they were seated and at what would be head level at an upward angle.
