I had misfires for freaking ages!!! Luckily i came across your explanation bro... I've changed the spark plugs to Iridium ones, the coil packs and the camshaft position sensor but still same problem (damn it)... I will run the multimeter test and (surely) change the alternator! Ratings for this very useful post!!
Hi. Ive just run into the same problem. Was it the alternator ? Im waiting for the sensor to try that first, cheaper option. Plus, alternators dont seem to be a very sure market out there. Thank you. Sorry this was a long time ago.
Thanks for the help bro, I traded in my 2007 automatic V6 Mustang for a 2008 manual Mustang GT three weeks ago. I'm still sorting out the kinks... My power windows weren't working at all because of a exposed wire short behind the stereo headunit but I fixed it... and the previous owner removed the shaker 500 subs and rear deck speakers but I replaced all the speakers with kicker ones... and I replaced a relay for my rear defroster and it works now, and now I have the CPS code and I have a engine misfire; one cylinder is not firing at all I think. I'm about to replace the alternator, spark plugs, and the coil packs and see what happens...
Great video. I have a 97 ford escort sohc with P0340 code. I replaced cam and crank sensor, timing belt and tensioner, ecm replaced, checked wiring from sensor to ecm (checked ok) and still have same code after cleared it with scanner. Any ideas? Can it be weak starter or alternator? Thanks.
Could a bad alternator ruin these sensors if they were replaced before the new alternator was installed. Im wondering if the voltage spike ruined the new sensors
I have a 1999 mustang GT. 4,6l. I keep getting a system too lean bank two code. I checked for vacuum leaks. Still got the code. So I replaced the injectors on bank two thinking it was not getting enough fuel. So the system too lean bank two went away. But now I get a random multiple misfire code. And sometimes it will be all eight cyl. But I don't hear any misfire. It runs fine. Do you know what might cause this? And my system too lean bank two just came back again. Arghhh
Hi , i replaced engine 2007 V8 4.6L F150. after that i am getting P0340 camshaft position sensor circuit DTC. i replaced with new sensor, i checked circuit two wire going back to PCM. it has continuity from cam sensor to PCM. i disconnected the Alternator +B wire . i checked the DTC, and cleared , still coming back . right away, when we start the truck . any idea bro.
you're so right. this code came up on my mustang, replaced the sensor and it wasn't that. after further testing now i know it's the alternator. is there a certain noise the car makes when having this problem? because since the check engine light came on with this issue the car makes a certain noise when i start catching speed. a sound like the sound a remote control car. weird but it sounds like that to me
In addition to the p code, my mustang also developed an audible, RPM-dependent hum/buzz through the speakers at the same time. Could the alternator be responsible for this as well?
kuda9992, can be caused by low a/c refrigeration level. Check your a/c first. If low, just get refrigerant refill at auto parts store. Has happened to me. Turn the compressor on & idling speeds up, slows down, speeds up, slows down...
i have the same problem in my f150 2010 i change the VCT solenoids the phasers and the camshaft position sensor and the same problem i dont know what to do but I don´t have the rough idle / misfiring
I got a check engine light on my Ford Mustang Gt 2006 and I check and it was a misfire In two cylinders and I change the spark plugs and still I got codes P0306- misfire in cylinder 6 P0307- misfire in cylinder 7 P0346-camshaft position sensor “A” circuit range and performance P0217- engine coolant over temperature You wouldn’t happen to know what the problem might be?

Thank you brother...saved me a headache....putting in the new alternator today!
How did it go? With the new install.
Did it work?
Thanks bro
Thanks alot
Thanks for tip
Thanks for watching!

would it make the cam position sensor malfunction or just say its a bad sensor?
hi man good video, is possible take the car to auto zone, and check the alternator, I ready change both sensors thanks again

Sorry if this is a silly question ...do you check with the car engine On or Off? 😜

What about P0346? Intermittent?

It’s ur radio you have a bad ground
I'm reading .077 with ac off but ac on its shoots up to .200
In addition to the p code, my mustang also developed an audible, RPM-dependent hum/buzz through the speakers at the same time. Could the alternator be responsible for this as well?
Curtis Wood bad ground on ur radio
Def bad ground
Could this cause my car to have a weird idle when i the air conditioning on or my defrost?

My alt was replaced a week ago but my dad ended up on the side of the road it’s a auto 2004 mustang gt and it threw this code
Tested my mustang and it was showing over 100
I have this code po320 on 1999 Lincoln Town car
i have the same problem in my f150 2010 i change the VCT solenoids the phasers and the camshaft position sensor and the same problem i dont know what to do but I
don´t have the rough idle / misfiring
when you check on the battery, does the car have to be on, or can you just test it with the car off
Same question...do you check with the car engine On or Off?
@@EloyRamirez on, alternator only works when the engine is running
The
I got a check engine light on my Ford Mustang Gt 2006 and I check and it was a misfire In two cylinders and I change the spark plugs and still I got codes
P0306- misfire in cylinder 6
P0307- misfire in cylinder 7
P0346-camshaft position sensor “A” circuit range and performance
P0217- engine coolant over temperature
You wouldn’t happen to know what the problem might be?
Eddie Ruvalcaba replace the EGT and/or thermostat
Manifold leak?
Are you sure about that... That's a 1st time heard That ALTERNATOR produced AC voltage 😂🤔🙄
