That Cole overlay has to be one of the best examples of pitch tunneling I've ever seen.
Seems like he's been working on his Knuckle Curve over the offseason. Seemed like the last like 2 years he wasn't using it that much and when he did it didn't have to much break to it and basically just used it as a get me over breaking ball early in the count. But this year it has a lot more break to it and is using it as a put away pitch more.
Won the Parlay yesterday at +503 (gallen, mcclanahan and gray rod). Now up 32 units on the year.

I think Cole throwing up and in a few times really helped him also. Sometimes hitters get to comfortable hitting against him.
totally noticed he's been doing that more this year, the scare factor of a 97 mph fastball buzzing in at your head will always work haha
Cole was absolutely dealing. Also I don't understand how people could look at the TV box and not see the difference between hitters.

It was amazing watching Darvish do his thing. He wasn't even truly on form as his curveball wasn't really up to his level, or his sliders really. Basically he was just throwing fastballs and splitters to get the K's. I say it all the time but when it comes to stuff, he's got the nastiest shit I've ever seen when he's in his zone.
Side note that's kinda pointless to add, in every MLB game (usually just The Show) I always play as the Orioles in franchise and trade for Darvish lol.
I don't know if Adley is glovefaking the hitter necessarily. It kinda looks like a cue for his changeup. Changeups are starting at Adley's glove setup.
Go through the game and watch Gray Rod's changeups. Adley definitely doesn't do that consistently at all.

Question about the Knuckle Curve. What does it do differently than a regular Curveball? I know the grip is different but I don’t know what the said grip does.
Not much. It's really just a curveball grip that makes it easier for some to throw. Occasionally it can get more sweep with higher velo (kimbrel/morton) but it's really just a different grip

just coming to see if anyone mentioned this - that was one of the better reaction plays I've seen in a while, plus better than Castillo's behind the back snag earlier this season. Kiermaier was just as shocked as Tulo when Fernandez caught his rocket comebacker lol

Oh how I do enjoy viewing these nasty pitches. How anyone can compare the great sport of Baseball to that of Cricket? That video overlay technique showing the late movement of the ball is simply fantastic. Anyway thank you for your love of the game and the effort you endure to bring this to us.

I'm still disgusted by the way MLB railroaded/blackballed Bauer out of league. It's unforgivable to me when you look at the facts, and was more about him exposing the hypocrisy of mlb rules.

Edit - I just talked about Brusdar yesterday when comparing him to Bautista, and maybe he read it, boy did he look nasty. His stuff is so good if he gets command it's a wrap and the dodgers have a legit tier 1 closer.
