The 101mph sinker off the plate is an impressive feat for any team not featuring Jordan Hicks. He does it routinely, and _much_ further out of the zone. Hell, half the time the catcher doesn't even know what's coming.
Jordan Hicks has insane stuff while also having very low pitchability. It’s honestly kind of impressive 😂
It's just like Clayton Kershaw said "I will simply throw the ball harder to get more outs." It's amazing that other pitchers haven't thought of this before.

My girlfriend saw Vazquez swinging at those Josh Hader fastballs and was like, “Why would he swing at that?!?” And I showed her your videos overlaying the tunneling that pitchers do so that she would understand.

Rich Hill’s curveball is the most majestic pitch in the majors. I’m a sucker for Hill/Wainwright/Kershaw big fat slow 72 MPH curveballs, and would prefer those over and 101 MPH fastball.

Today was just pure splitter/changeup insanity!
Yennier Cano still has yet to allow a run in 18.2 innings. He's only allowed 4 baserunners, 1 of which was a HBP and the other 3 were singles. 2 of them were softly hit infield singles. Dude is unreal.

1000%. He's not flashy, just really good. Tough for me to feature his stuff because it doesn't jump out at you visually, but he's no doubt been very good.

Is change-up velocity going up over time? If a lot of pitchers start throwing changes near 95, it's going to be hard times for batters.
