I've always paid my own bills. I don't need a treat for it, because it's called, "being an adult." I can see how a woman would like for a man to take care of everything financially. There's nothing wrong with that, if that's what she wants. Everyone deserves to get what they want out of life. I also don't berate the man who bypasses a woman who cleans, for a mechanical dish washer, washer/dryer, and casual hookups. He may not have a need or want to take care of a woman. It may not be worth it to him. It doesn't make him a bastard for doing what's best for himself. As long as both parties are happy, I really don't see a right or wrong. Ladies- I've been with my husband since 1998. We were young and built our lives together. For the majority of our life I was the head of house hold. Fast forward 20 years my husband is head of house hold, pays ALL the bills and I stay home. So..... If you were not smart enough to get with a paid man from the start you can train them. Remember, I man will do what you allow them to do!
If he's refuses to pay ALL bills and takes care of you 100% he basically does not think you are worth it and you are he's roommate. Point blank!

Yup!. I feel many of us ladies have created this problem of men acting like snow flakes and biches and expecting women to go 50- 100% on work , bill etc because someone of us ave been doing this stuff automatically trying to prove their worth to , or show what a good woman they are to these men that do not deserve it. The good news is we can correct the problem by listening to this advice and actually following it to train or retrain these low value men or ditch them altogether and find a man who already knows how to be a real man and a gentlemen!

I live with a man and I do not pay any bills and he is my Father and some people really frown upon that. But my Dad is a real man that knows I'm in the process of building my self up, returning to college and work after a I had a major surgery and so no matter what, men should provide. It's their natural instinct. I've worked clothing store job and a male coworker leave and get a better job also and we kept in contact and he eventually offered me an apartment and all I was required to do is cook That's it ladies.Understand that real men pay bills.
I can see from all sides. Marriages, and non-marital relationships, are negotiations. No one wants to feel cheated out of their limited time and effort. Personally, I'm ok with being single or in a relationship. I'm a man who values sound morality and financial security over everything. I don't mind paying all of the bills. I've always paid my own bills. I don't need a treat for it, because it's called, "being an adult." I can see how a woman would like for a man to take care of everything financially. There's nothing wrong with that, if that's what she wants. Everyone deserves to get what they want out of life. I also don't berate the man who bypasses a woman who cleans, for a mechanical dish washer, washer/dryer, and casual hookups. He may not have a need or want to take care of a woman. It may not be worth it to him. It doesn't make him a bastard for doing what's best for himself. As long as both parties are happy, I really don't see a right or wrong. Too often we say that there's a definite right and wrong way to handle countless scenarios, and that just sounds ignorant to me.
We have a ton of bills. I don't know how much they are or when they're due. I know women who are also married that work outside the home that pay bills and it just makes me so sad for them. Any money I ever get is for me or my kids something.
