So... my ex fiance was a firefighter. He wanted to marry me but told me I need to go to work too because he is not able to take care financially two people. As a firefighter he doesn't earned much money even tho he was getting some additional work here and there. That means they are either in debt or have no future outside the one where you make it for them. It also means I know exactly how to protect myself and my assets against them. I would much rather marry a doctor that makes half what I make and have her quit her job indefinitely or temporarily while raising a child than not. You are telling the truth! My ex husband would say, it takes two to build and the days of a woman staying at home was over. I was told I was lazy because I stayed at home with our baby, cooked cleaned up behind him, etc. On top of that , I was up in the middle of the night. When our child was not sleeping or sick. He would be snoring and never get up but I was expected to find and work a full time job. I ended up working grave yard shift jobs. He didn’t care what time I came home, if it was inclement weather etc. As long as I brought home money. He expected me to work like him. When we were moving, he asked me if I would help pick up the other side of the couch. I said no , I am not doing that. He said , women pretend to be weak but you all should be doing more instead of wearing men out.He was immature, selfish and would speak bad about women and how vaginas were ugly and he don’t get why other men are so pu*sy whipped. He said it is not that good. I said well evidently you don’t like me.He would get mad and say everything isn’t about you I am talking about women in general.. Thank God, I finally woke up and got a divorce. We got married really young. My dad told me to leave while I still had youth and looks. I have learned my lesson. As a firefighter he doesn't earned much money even tho he was getting some additional work here and there.
