WHAT IS THE ATHEIST EXPERIENCE?
The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas geared at a non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin.
The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.
We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.

The first time I clicked on an Atheist Experience video, my washing machine was going through a noisy spin cycle, and the theme song sounded to me as though it said, "Won't you listen, Theresa, with your opium eyes?" I can never unhear this, so I felt I would be generous and share it with you good people. You're welcome. :D

We want religion to go away but we realise that you can't force them to stop believing. Educating people and teaching them to think and not just have faith in some random book. Islamophobia is a dumb word, it implies an irrational fear whereas religion is inherently irrational and dangerous. It's made to keep the peasants dumb and in churches and temples instead of thinking for themselves. It divides and segregates with supposedly "chosen people" and shit.
*If you really want to battle the threat of Islam then help support and spread the messages of ex-muslims who have first hand experience of the religion.*
Kenji Wright No, it’d be progressing forward into the future. Unfortunately I’m not sure religion will die either. Ignorant people are still gonna be ignorant and that’s what religion is for. An answer when in reality the answer hasn’t been found yet. I do hope the majority of humanity moves on from arguments from ignorance or using God/a god/ gods as a placeholder.

@@greenytaddict I don't think she was in on the joke. I mean, she had done the show with Matt for so long up to that point that she probably thought that he must be under enormous stress for him to just go insane like that.
You can see that she feels bad for the crew, but that she is also concerned about Matt, and you can see her sort of biting her lip, either because she doesn't want to get yelled at or because she feels that it is not an appropriate time to engage him on his attitude. I felt really bad for her, but I'm glad it was all a joke.
Why is Matt entertaining Dale? Where on earth do they get their patience from? Is there a store where they stock up on patience or what the heck?

These people are just not intellectually sophisticated enough to really debate their position. Most of them seem rather dull and are just parroting what they have heard at church without true understanding. Logic and reason seem to be wasted on them. It seems like most of them do not even know the bible or the tenants of their religion all that well.
