- harsh truth - fillers DON’T always make you look prettier. they DON’T always make you look better. sometimes, they can make you look a heck of a lot worse. the normalisation and glamorisation of filler has meant that a whole new generation of young boys and girls think that it’s normal (and even expected) to get filler injected into your face. lips, cheeks, chin, jaw, nose, under eyes - ‘its just like heading to the gym’ says UK influencer Molly Mae. but filler is anything but normal. whilst it was originally created to help fill out hollowness for people in the throws of ageing, or illness, filler is now just a regular part of most people’s beauty routine. get your hair cut, get some filler. grab a latte, make your lips bigger. but with the rise in the normality of filler, so has risen the danger of black market fillers and practitioners. these counterfeit fillers are not only toxic, untested, unregulated and contaminated with odd substances that you really DON’T want to be injecting into your face or body, but it is incredibly dangerous to have an unqualified person inject you. let alone DIY it and attempt it yourself, as lots of people are starting to do.
bottom line? we need to look very closely at our obsession with fillers, and get clear about where we draw the line. bigger, is not always better. - Jak na to + styl
We made fun of Victorian women for using makeup with lead in it, but we’re the ones injecting random things underneath our skin and ruining our faces
There is still lead in makeup today
Giiirl there ain't no WE
Nobody makes fun of Victorian women for wearing makeup with lead in it. Wearing makeup is still the norm and back then they didn’t know they were putting something toxic on their face. Today people are injecting their faces while knowing the risks. Totally not comparable.
Random things like botulism, which is a neurotoxin.
And in some way the blame will point to men eventually.
The more popularized the "filler look" gets, the more I have learned to appreciate the beauty of natural aging. It's so much prettier to me now.
100%!
Same ❤
most people get fillers to look younger and you wouldnt even know they had fillers. you only spot people who overdone it, have for example unnatural lips, and that's the way for you to cope with aging and soothe your ego.
Precisely!
I'm so glad I've never started
Bruh..... sometimes poverty is protection. I missed credit card debt in my 20s because I couldn't qualify them. I missed the filler craze too because I was broke! Praise be!
😂😂I have vasovagal syncope and so I couldn’t handle getting any Botox. I’d literally faint. Which I think is a blessing in disguise. Although I can’t be a doctor because of it… I’m not butchering my face and body to keep up with trends and I say that’s a win lol.
Same about the credit cards😂
I know girls who are still paying off boob jobs they had 10 years ago and their boobs already need re doing. Once they start, it never ends
😂😂😂😂😂😂
If that was your only reason, I can't see that you deserve any praise.
"Professional opinion of someone's face" is a concept I never ever want to think of ever again
Yeah the professionals that ususlly see a monetary opportunity lol It seems like there is a craze around this look to the point where people effortlessly convince themselves that the overfilled plastic face and body is the most beautiful thing ever, so odd...
Fr whoever has that job is a real piece of work . NPC behavior
Unpopular opinion: Id rather look old than freakishly overfilled.
Me too. Those filler distorted faces freak me out. I don’t want to look at them and I certainly don’t want to look like that myself.
Girl it’s not an unpopular opinion, it’s a smart, sane one 🩷
Rather look like a normal aging person than have that '"je ne sais pas', uncanny Valley, something is off but I can't put my finger on it" vibe
I low-key think this is a popular opinion, we just are afraid to admit that we love ourselves more than societal expectations dictate
Yup, I rather look like myself
It's so dystopian the lengths that women go to meet these ever shifting beauty standards! The woman that called your face a "fruit salad of flaws" is just evil.
It really is and there’s no reward for giving into society’s whims. One minute it’s cool to do something, then when it goes out of fashion, you’re mocked. I wish women would realize society’s expectations are a moving target. We should be more mindful of what we consume and stubbornly accept ourselves.
It’s crazy lots of women will say only men are judgmental and push women to do this but other women push it as well! They don’t want to realize that they are feeding into the patriarchy as well
sadly that is quite common. I did a consultation for a "little bit of botox" and the woman told me I needed filler in places I didn't even realise was possible! Lips, cheeks, jaw, tear ducts and temples plus botox in 5 different places on the face. like wtf?! I walked out and never went back. But they have 5 stars on google and their reviews indicate that women are letting this woman rearrange their entire faces.
@JP-nt1vp what a hustle. They are selling an addiction. Good for you for walking away.
People also confuse instant gratification for happiness.
"fruit salad of flaws" is such a despicable thing to say to anyone, let alone a young woman. And those doctors are downright predatory. Thwyre creating "flaws" that dont exist for quick money.
Plastic surgeons n injectors r the mechanics of this Bullshiiit industry n some of them use the same stuff as mechanics😮😅😂🤣🤣🤣😝
I'm 29 and this video has convinced me to not get fillers. I was starting to feel so self conscious but this has actually made me love myself again and not want to ruin myself
And by the way, I looked at your Profile Pic...you look lovely!!!! You are definitely not a toad!! Beautiful lips & stunning eyes...many women would pay for what you have naturally!
Have you looked at yourself dear? That natural beautiful face? So much youth and fullness why do you think you need this ? Because you’re 29? You can easily pass as 21 and 29 most people are still youthful and don’t need any work. I’m 32 and have zero interest in this. Stay natural ❤
We gotta stay strong girl! Ur beautiful 😘
I seriously don't get why so many women want to look the same instead of celebrating individuality and diversity!!
Me either!! I’m so bored of this “look” that they all strive for!
Society:,)
Probably because we, in our society, are only recently celebrating individuality and diversity. The beauty standard has always been thin, Caucasian, look-alikes. I feel like this is the last throws of this, hopefully. I’m sure we don’t have to mention that people that are doing this are the highly impressionable and have deep insecurities from the get go.
Honestly, not many people talk about how fillers are dangerous and very risky. Kudos to Stephanie for speaking on this.
instagram/celebrity culture subconsciously tells you that's what beauty is. I'll be real, as a straight woman, if guys says a famous woman, who has work done, is hot, I'll feel like that's what i'm meant to look like.
They want a more marketable look.
You are performing a genuinely important public service with these videos, Stephanie. Thank you.
Very true! I'm lucky to have seen this!
I was gonna comment that she's doing a good work. AMEN
Someone should say this. This face-changing thing is out of control.
Agreed thank you for saying this. 💯 Bless Stephanie and her work!
I agree
I’m 31, and I had been considering getting filler for a while-like since I was 26. I ended up uninstalling TikTok and Instagram, and I realized I (personally) just needed to get away from social media. Now I love my features. I don’t have the fullest lips, or look like I was perfected by Instagram. But I’m pretty without it. I love my flaws.
Smart. I never got into SM. I had FB but that was it. I missed this whole trend. 10 years of this stuff being pumped into our brains
Just wear sunscreen and try to lead a healthy life. Those are the best things you can do for yourself.
As a person who has full plump lips trust me I wish my lips were wider and thinner we always want what we don’t have you’re beautiful the way you are don’t go under the knife just to fit in beauty standards.
Why at your age? 😂 Fill yourself in your late 40's but why now?
We've also got to ask ourselves why we think thin lips is a flaw. It's just how you were born.
The person who said "a fruit salad of flaws" was financially incentivized to make you feel insecure about yourself and sell you a lifetime subscription of expensive fillers.
It's BS that getting filler now as a teenager is so widely accepted WTF.....
It’s even worse in Korea. Parents will often give the gift of plastic surgery for school.
They should implement age restrictions like with alcohol
@@aygulmemet4201Countries are starting too in response. I think it’s 18 y/o in England now
Especially since when you're a teen it's when you look the most youthful and beautiful. Then thwy go and both themselves. The body dismorphia is real
ask the young (girls) they think its normal because of those certain shows there see on tv. Growing up in the 90‘ beeing skinny as bones is normal to my generation. Eventually, we get over it… in our 40s 😢
When I see people with fillers I think “and they PAID to look that way?!” 😮
@@HadenBlake By the way, Looney Tunes characters look very sweet :)

@@MagsLuvit’s not about being pretty it’s about not being selfish. Getting surgeries only perpetuates an impossible standard for other women and never ends well because the surgeries results only get worse and worse. It doesn’t matter how not pretty you think you are, you are not worse than any of these blown up faces. You are unique and natural and should not change.
We now know that a lot of over done faces are due to patients suffering from body dysmorphia and low self esteem. It's also a lack of ethics, support/guidence from medical practitioners. We need to hold these issues accountable for the true reasons
Yes!! The duck lips! It’s still so prevalent and still so hideous 🥴
Thank you, I think they look older too. These young girls look old af and their skin is stretching to accommodate all the filler. As they get older, their stretched out skin won't have anywhere near enough collagen/ elastin to support the weight of the filler. What a disaster!
This makes me think of a quote I heard "They raised the bar so much I can comfortably walk under it"
Your "fruit salad of flaws" face is actually one of the prettiest I've ever seen. Your imperfections are what make you naturally gorgeous. Perfectionism is overwhelmingly boring.
the reason why the professional said that was to get her to pay money, I think she had NO flaws
What an a**hole that "professional" was to her. Beyond it being untrue, it's just a horrible way to make people pay to solve problems you don't actually have and then keep you on the hook for some more!

My step-mom is late 50s and has never had a procedure. She's took care of herself. She drinks water, works out, is calm and patient. She's genuinely a happy person with a good heart. I think the inner beauty she has shows on the outside. I lookup to her so much!!!
Same thing with my mom. She's 67 and when she goes grocery shopping or goes to the pharmacy, the shopkeeper usually has a puzzled look when they see that she has a senior rebate available and sometimes outright questions that she doesn't look the age for a senior rebate (i think the age for it is 65). She has been appreciating her grey hair more and let it grow out the last two years and she looks even more amazing now! She really glows. I think it helped because there was an ad campaign here in Sweden only with older people and I think it kind of normalised grey hair and aging (at least for a little while).

I suffer from BDD and have had fillers done in my lips because I they were asymmetrical. The first time i filled my lips they were super pretty and I really loved them, but the injector told me I had to come back in a year to maintain the result, so I did. Now I look old, my nasolabial folds are super prominent and my face looks swollen. I'm waiting for it to dissolve on it's own but hearing that it will only migrate make me so scared.
I regret having fillers done in the first place and now I have to live with this for the rest of my life, so to all people thinking of having fillers done, think again. And if you decide to have them anyway don't overdo it ❤
You can get them dissolved! Fortunately since it’s limited to your lips you don’t need to worry so much about that impacting your natural volume. I hate that some injectors say you “have” to come back. It’s not true. I got a very small amount done 3 years ago after I felt like I had some volume loss from weight loss. My lips are just a slightly more shapely version of what they always were and I still feel no need for a “top up”

I was born in 1999 and i remember seeing commercials on TV advertising Botox and fillers. But those ads were always targeted towards older middle aged people. It’s so insane, when did this begin marketing younger and younger people?? It’s sad and aggravating how greed can change society so quickly
I agree. But I understand. None of understand how beautiful we are 20 til we get older and look back on those photos. These kids are being inundated with even more unrealistic views with filtered photos everywhere. They must feel like they can’t possibly live up to those standards.
When they realized they can create insecurities in the youth and make even MORE money by charging them
Omg! I just realized that! All the botox ads had women with obvious wrinkles and sometimes gray hair! Now they're often early thirties or younger! 😧
I blame social media and its filters, they have warped reality especially for impressionable people (young and old)
Of course they had to change their target population. Not enough of the older people were buying filler services. Why not expand? Maybe people can finally see how much various industries are using influencers and celebrities to convince people to buy their product. Although, the same thing happened with shaving. Have you heard who popularised shaving for women? The razor company. 😄 I guess fillers will become a norm in 50 years just like shaving has.
I cannot believe that professional said that your face was a “fruit salad of flaws” that is EVIL. They also were clearly very arrogant thinking they know better than literal NATURE
Hey girlie 😂😂😂
Those people sound more like morticians from horror movies. They don't see you as a human being anymore, they see you as a malleable statue they should chisel to some kind of symmetrical perfection.

As someone who was born and raised in LA, I've seen enough celebrities looking strange/vastly different IRL to know to stay away from beauty treatments beyond good skincare.
I do not understand why people look down on naturalness? I know we live in a world surrounded by certain practices like fillers that have grown common, but why don't we also appreciate natural features. Criticising people for not fitting into standards that are so absurd in the first place, makes me disheartened.
This is the saddest human behavior that always hunts us. If you don't follow what the majority does, then you're an outcast 😔
this entire video is about how cosmetic surgery will ruin you, so I'd say theres gonna be hate on both sides 💀
People don’t look down on naturalness and long as you are naturally the beauty standard, they look down on people who don’t naturally fit the beauty standards.
There’s a reason all the celebrities lie about having plastic surgery or cosmetic procedures is because they want to seem like they are naturally perfect. When someone is honest about having plastic surgery or cosmetic procedure they are consider less than naturally beautiful people but still better than “ugly” people
They call you a “pick me” for thinking that natural looks are better lol
Because the majority of people are average looking. Homely looking if you will. A minority of people are very beautiful in their natural form. The homely and average want to be beautiful and this is what they’re trying to achieve, but it really doesn’t work.
All these people with fillers makes me appreciate the natural beauty even more, with all it's imperfections and uneven lines and wrinkles and all of it, it's beautiful and unique!
Thank you for this. This needs more light brought to this toxic lifestyle.

I bet you look normal for your age, but have been show so much stuff from influencers normaliing filler that you started to want it. I have no advice or judgement to pass. I have struggled with the wanting fillers, i remember wanting bigger lips like Kylies, but ever since i stopped following them and others who kept promoting it, i feel a lot less drawn towards them. if it makes any diference, i am 24
i wanted them and i’m 22 smh. i have deeper set bags under my eyes. the skin is thin and sometimes i lightly pinch it to see what it would look like if it were filled just the teensiest bit🥲 i’ve always disliked how it made my under eyes look and the areas beside the bridge of my nose but im so extremely afraid of having a reaction or something that i think it’ll just always be something i think abt & never do😋🙃

I'm so bored of this image of beauty. Bring back individuality and uniqueness. That's the true secret to timeless [and ageless] beauty.
As an artist, it's vital. I do portraits. It's hard to find references of unique faces. I'm tired of practicing drawing the same faces over, and over, and OVER again. I can only convince so many people to let me take a picture of their face to draw. It's awkward...asking people that.
I've always admired the look of unique women like Tilda Swinton rather that the cookie cutter bratz dolls
I also miss when people used to go pick fun fabrics and go to a tailor to design unique garments. Now we just pick whatever is available at the stores and have a hard time styling it, then to look like a copy-past homework
@@marinadamn5813 I'm a portrait artist too and would highly recommend you look up faces from days gone by. If you like using celebrities and whatnot for references, those from the 1970s and back are great to use.
Yesh, I metioned it too. They all look the same. Boring. And those horrific rubberboat lips, I hate them.
I was considering getting fillers this year and this video popped up. Tysm for such good info and saving my face.
Me too I was going to get my lips done never mind!!! Ty
i needed this video so much thank you
This is called body dysmorphia.
True, mo one every talks about it. I literally left my face in scars after trying tretinoin because I had two or three pimples my dysmorphia was so fucking strong that all I could was the acne.
Not anymore it’s too main stream. It’s a trend and brainwashing for beauty standards. Just like weight is , just like fashion is, but this is going to physical features that are not easy to change. And it’s the face, it’s pretty important.
Body dysmorphia is a psychiatric diagnosis. It's being thrown around these days to describe a normal feeling.
For real I'm sure there's a great variety of people who deny this and say "my body my choice!". Like I say let's think deeper on WHY they want something done and if that's going to fix their insecurity. The hard truth is, many want other people's approval for being conventionally attractive hence the procedures being done so often
@@jelly2320 not everyone who succumbs to peer pressure has body dysmorphia. you literally cant go around diagnosing everyone because they had one or more procediments. unless you are their therapist or their psychiatrist, you are not qualified to diagnose others
Don’t do it people, you’ll never get rid off it. The filler doesn’t fully dissolve , it stays in your face for good and migrates all over your face.
If you get it dissolved professionally, it does dissolve. But it doesn’t dissolve naturally by your body like it was originally explained.
@@SmileyxKyleyTell that to Courtney Cox.
@@SmileyxKyleyit does never dissolve 100% a german youtuber named Gnu dissolved her lips multiple times and years later there was still filler left at the sides.
@@SmileyxKyleyeven with a professional there is no guarantee it dissolves. The only way you can see if it dissolves is to get an MRI. I know this because my friend went to get hers dissolved and even though her face was no longer puffy per se, the MRI revealed it was still there in the cheek, migrated to the jaw area and still under the eyes. I personally would not touch that stuff at all. Believe it or not but botox is better but only if you're older. I really feel like these girls are getting things too early, especially because the face is still changing in your 20s.
*of, not off
You look so great with dark hair. I’ve been watching several of your lip filler videos and there you are as a brunette. You look awesome.
This video is SO needed right now. I haven’t gotten fillers but I’ve always thought one day I will because it’s so normal. I feel like you just saved so many young beautiful girls from ruining their faces (and lives)
this video just saved me and was on my recommended at the perfect time. I had a lip filler consultation today and left undecided about what exactly i wanted but still wanted fillers. but after watching this I can't believe I was considering injecting something into my perfectly fine looking face. THANK YOU .
Everytime I think I want a little filler, I'll come watch a stephanie vid, works everytime ❤
Once the volume goes down on lip filler it can leave you with wrinkles around the edges of your lips. Lipstick tends to apply differently, unevenly, after that. Then you’ll want to fix it by getting more lip filler which just worsens the problem. Be glad that you avoided all that!
Don't do it x
No you didnt. You just made that up
I watched one of the LA surgeon videos on CZcams. Obviously he is selling face-lifts but how he explained the way filler widens your face and causes permanent SQ fascia scarring I can understand the reasoning. Basically go big or go home with a full lift and stick with fat transfer for volume. Or maybe just get filler the few recommended places that lose volume with age. The gist was don't use the filler to plump the skin. It's not lifting that sagging skin you want tacked back to where it used to be, it's just plumping the area and making your face smooth but lumpy and huge. I don't remember what was said about lips but under the face skin is something people will pay for later. I guess the people that want a different face should do what they want but it is sad the world famous women are completely changing their signature looks rather than artfully preserving them thanks to bad advice. I think they got scared with the old school stars that had their eyebrows and eyes pulled too far the wrong direction. With the smoking and drinking habits back then I'm sure the wrinkles and skin quality was pretty bad and there was cheap, old technique, and bad work done.
FINALLY SOMEONE IS TALKING ABOUT THIS I’m an esthi & this is obvious to me- it’s gonna stretch your skin over time & you’ll have to get more and more work done & its not reversible after a certain point
Do you think any of the doctors offering these procedures warn their clients about this?
@@Marge719 I actually know they don’t, I’ve commented on several cosmetic accounts that do those procedures and they always say because of the collagen in the product, it’s anti aging. So that’s basically their answer to straight up me asking “so like, that’s gonna stretch your skin out….right?” It WILL. And no they won’t tell you, they’ll try to upsell you. It’s actually a huge part of the reason why I’m putting a pause on working in that field of work, people don’t care about you as much as you think they will. And I care A LOT about that type of shit
I work in petcare now🤓 much more likeminded people

Thanks for the reply.
This is very upsetting, really. but doesn’t surprise me at all.
A few years back there wasn’t even information on the Internet about side effects, so customers had to trust esthetics.
I remember when Hyaluron was THE wonder weapon, because it’s ’’only water’’...
Thankfully, there is more diverse content on this issue and anyone interested in can and should weigh pros and cons beforehand.
Problem is, ppl strife to enhance their looks when they should be paying more attention of what is going on inside their heads...
Petcare sounds way better, animals are neither vain nor after money.. :)
Stephanie you are a GEM. You are a role model. Thank you for being you and all that you do.
This movement has gotten soooooooo much worse. I got fillers in 2016 and the juvederm is still in my lips. Don’t need to overdo it. Thanks for this Stephanie
I haven't gotten a touch up in a year and I definitely still have filler present. I'm glad I never went overboard with it.
Filler probably never gets absorbed by the body. We will know for sure in about 20 years
@@rachelforshee6014it does dissolve on its own, but that happens a long time after it loses its shape
@@camcat26havent you seen Stephanie's vid? Theres a lady Who literally still had 35ml of hyaluronic acid on her face after 20ys of filler...
exactly, i had my lip filler over 2 years ago and they look exactly the same. see no need to get more
Fillers make people look the exact opposite of what they're trying to achieve. To me, it makes people look a hell of a lot older. Same with buccal fat removal. It just ages you. I'm 23, and the only thing I do is my skincare, which includes hyaluronic acid eye patches, and that's it aside a normal face wash. I get told I look 16-19, I have a VERY chubby face. I find it to be a compliment.
I‘d say enjoy the chubby face til it lasts, and then enjoy the contured face when it comes… why can‘t we appreciate the beauty of different stages of lifes? Like the old grandma, with long white hair and a warm smile?
Same! I'm 26 and people say i look 18/19
I'm 26 and people think I'm 19 😂 The only problem is that 19 year old guys approach me lmao😬 and Im like nope sorry.. I feel like guys my age think Im much younger than them 😢
Seriously, having fat in your face does actually make you look younger longer. People need to appreciate it more.
@@pennyjane9906 My sentiments exactly!
I loved your video. I have been saying exactly the same as you. It’s such a shame that so many people think they need these fillers to achieve beauty, when it actually ruins the beauty they already have naturally.
Thank you so much for this video! I was considering “preventative” filler as I’m approaching 30. Definitely just gonna stick to nightly retinol and daily SPF!!!
This video dropped at the perfect time to remind me exactly why I have never gotten fillers. I’d been having some thoughts about trying “a tiny bit of lip filler” to see what it’s like. Nope. Thanks, Stephanie.🎉❤
It's definitely tempting at times, ive lost a lot of volume and moisture in my lips over the last few years. I love this channel because Stephanie reminds us that it's ok to look your age and to have your own unique features.
I was considering getting lip filler, But like you, I think I’ll pass. I’ll just keep over lining my lips. 😊
I also thought about having tiny bit of lip filler but most doctors don’t do a tiny amount. A tiny amount for them still means duck lips.
@@rebecalozano8127that’s what we did when I was teen in the late ‘80s and a twenty something in the ‘90s. I was lucky. I married in '91 and my husband didn’t care which way I was made up as long as I felt good.
Get a lip flip. Don’t do filler
I unsubscribed when you got filler for the first time a few years ago. I didn't want to get influenced to get them too. This popped up on my feed again today and I'm glad I clicked on it. Following you again now!
Who you get influenced by and to do what is something you can control and be smart about to some extent. Stay safe out there folks!
Getting filler isn't necessary a problem, but getting it to make you "prettier" is kinda sad.

Yeah lol. Filler isn't going to be a quick fix to give you the face you want. You have to sit and think about the ramifications of getting filler. Between recovery, cost, how it'll look when you're older.
Fillers are a body modification and people like to modify their bodies. The most we can do is be educated and take it seriously, but too many people aren't and it shows.
Thank you. I was thinking of getting fillers and this talked me out of it
If u wanna get it get it just dont get it to change your face, get it to fix a couple tiny issues.dont overdo it
Thank you sooo much for this!!
Oh lordy... My landlord is both a filler addict and dealer. Once a month she throws filler parties in the granny flat opposite mine and sometimes up to 20 people are crammed in there, getting lit and getting injected with who-knows-what (she and a friend do the injections themselves- neither of them are licensed). I'm surrounded by loud, drunk and high people with these warped, mask-like faces- it's uncanny valley-ish and terrifying. She never tells me when the parties are going to happen, but when they do, I try to leave and stay away for several hours (although my car is already blocked in by the time I realize it's a filler party day).
This is insane
Sounds like a black mirror episode
Im sorry but this is a horror movie material kinda stuff like what the actual fuck 😮😮
Oh my gosh id be SO SKETCHED OUT to get anything cosemtic like that done at a party 😭 id be picturing necrosis the whole time. Even when i did go get lip filler at an office i was anxious about it (but vanity won out of course) because you really never know. Its the young young teens and 20s whove started getting it thay really baffle me theyre already so beautiful. And having gotten filler i can confidently say its a slippery slope because then you start to think well i could do just a bit here and there and idk its just a money pit of potential risks.
maybe report them 🤭 with an anonymous tip. Unlicensed injectors in an (I'm assuming) not sterile flat and people getting drunk or high??? Sounds potentially very, very bad for any of her unsuspecting victi- errrrr, customers
staying away from fillers 🤝 fear of needles
Needles are terrifying club unite! ...And then run away screaming.
Yes 😂👏
I have been saying all of this for such a long time. But I am glad there is more information and research on the issue.
This was such a well done piece of content!! So good! that person who called your face a fruit salad of flaws sucks! ngl you are so gorgeous!
Honestly, not many people talk about how fillers are dangerous and very risky. It’s always touted as the “safe alternative” to surgery. Kudos to Stephanie for speaking on this and for sharing her horror story.
If you’re thinking of putting ANYTHING in your body: research it first. A small amount of research will tell you all you need to know about the risks of fillers.
Especially eye filler. I briefly thought about it, bc I was trying to use concealer to hide my deep set eyes. My technique was not good and I’ve just given up on concealer. I just use liquid eyeshadow to hopefully distract from the under eye a little by brightening it up. This girl with deep set eyes got them and she seemed unsure of it….so I was like “uh no.”
i was THIS close to getting filler in my chin and jaw. i have never liked my chin and jaw because i found it sort of pointy and unbalanced. i was so, so lucky that an injector i had a consult with actually encouraged me AGAINST getting chin and jaw filler. she offered other things, like lip filler, but i was not interested in that so she effectively discouraged me from filler entirely, and i am so thankful for that. i like my pointy chin now! it makes me look like my ethnicity
Girl a pointy chin is like the Korean standard of beauty! I'm sure it looks lovely 💕
Good for you to talk about this.
I haven’t had social media for about 4-5 years now for my own mental health. I still see the “trends” in my daily life though because almost every girl around me is starting to look the same and definitely dressing the same. I remember hearing I believe the Blogilates girl say we need to stop treating our bodies like fast fashion, and it’s a sad truth that this filler trend will be over with soon like any trend and unfortunately the side-effects will most likely be permanent to some degree.
I’ve always thought it made people look weird and even ugly or abnormal from being naturally pretty, they all have the same look. Even if it’s subtle we can always tell
Always?
Always.
@@nimnims91 ive had tiny bit lips thin with age. Told the girl go easy lol. Cant tell well noones told me & they would
@justkim339 if there's any degree of the "bee sting" appearance or if you have any amount of that duck face look from the side view, yes people can tell. If you don't have any of this, it almost seems pointless to be getting it done. You must be getting such an extremely minimal amount in order to avoid these visual side effects that I can't imagine it's making much of a difference anyway
@justkim339 I bet you look great :) & if you feel better, that's what counts :) x
ladies, if you're in your 20s please don't get fillers, you don't need to be a 10/10 beauty to get a great guy or to have friends and be happy, just tell yourself everyday you're gorgeous the way you are and you're unique and anyone else who dares you say otherwise is jealous you refuse to conform to the pressure.
You're right, girls lie to themselves that they aren't doing this to be attractive but rather just doing it for themselves, yeah right it's to compete with other girls for getting a guy but the irony is that many guys don't care for stuff like this, unless it's a super shallow trend following guy and there are still far too many girls going for those type of guys and making it out to be as if all guys are like that...
But go ahead if you're in your 30s?
This video has convinced me that no one should get fillers at any age. The risks are clearly higher than what is publicized. Necrosis? Blindness? No thanks!
I'm only in my mid 30s and the women I know who started getting injectables early are starting to look disformed. There's no way I would tell someone in their 20s to mess with their face. Use tretinoin and sunscreen, get enough sleep and exercise, and drink water.
Thank you so much for this. Making content like this is keeping women from becoming a life time patient of the beauty industry…..
Part of what makes the face become unattractive with too much filler is that it makes your face look swollen and swelling is usually the result of some sort of sickness. Which when humans are looking for potential mates tend to want to avoid.
yep and that's because hyaluronic fillers attract water, so you get that puffy look because there's simply too much water in your face
@@annielletthat’s so scary 😭
I remember last summer having lengthy conversations with my partner about filler & other beauty injections, not because either of us is considering it atm but rather the number of people we see on the street having that “filler face”. And like Stephanie said: not just the women, the men too. I’m going to share this video with him
I had a young doctor (33) who was very, very handsome. All of a sudden he started looking odd to me and I suspected Botox or filler, but I thought nah, he's too young and good looking plus he's a man and was in the military...chances are slim.
Well, turns out he left being in family medicine and went into the cosmetic industry injecting fillers and Botox. So he was actually getting things done to himself.
Idk if he practiced on himself, another classmate practiced on him or he liked that stuff, idk, I don't care, but he looked bad after it. It breaks my heart that he was ruining his great looks. I wonder what he looks like now.

I’m 62 and look at least 20 years younger. I eat well, exercise, get a lot of sleep, take immaculate care of my skin….and genuinely do not give a f**k about people’s opinions of me….which I find to be incredibly crucial in life.
This was horrifying. I’m 51 and even though I look older I actually like the way I look. It makes me sad that these young girls feel the need to do this.
It seems that it's next level nowadays, not even just about insecurities anymore but about pure vanity, ego and relentless competitions, it's shallow and tiring.

I am 55 and look my age, on good days a little younger😅 have done nothing to (or in) my face/body. I love my body, even though I am overweight. I love my face with wrinkles. I've had crows feet since I was 13. No probs with them. So sad to see woman and especially young girls getting lost in the idea of what a beautiful girl/woman should look like. It's our differences that makes everybody beautiful. That is, if you feel good about yourself. That means glowing from the inside. That is beauty. Lift each other up, in stead of putting another girl/woman down for not looking like the next one......
