- Poor Jennifer Lopez is in the celebrity doghouse. From stealing songs from other artists, to passing off other singer's vocals as her own and failing to give credit - the internet is FUMING with JLO right now, and it's an interesting look at celebrity culture in general. One moment everyone loves you - the next you're cancelled. Branded 'irrelevant'. Poor album sales turns to poor ticket sales, people coming out of the woodwork to reveal their negative encounters with Jenny From The Block, rumours that she is a 'mean girl', and my personal take - which is that she is almost worse than the Kardashian Jenner clan for perpetuating unrealistic beauty standards. JLO is 54, yet a scroll through her social media would have you thinking she's still in her early 20s. There's a lot of airbrushing and computer trickery going on, made all the worse by the fact that JLO (or her team) are using these highly filtered images and videos to promote her JLO Beauty skincare line.
The world of celebrity culture is a fickle one, and the truth of the matter is, is that although Jennifer Lopez's behaviour at time is shall we say... questionable - to get to the top of the music and film industry one DOES have to be a certain level of creep. That is to say, to behave 'obsequiously' in the hopes of advancement. Whether that be sucking up to powerful people that can help further her career, or stepping on smaller artists to create the success for herself - JLO is a great example of how hard work, self belief and ultimate determination can get you to the top. But what goes up... must come down. Have we seen the downfall of Jenny From The Block? Or can she claw back the love and respect of her fans? - Jak na to + styl
Now I understand why Mariah has been persistently shady towards her. She knew what was going on behind the scenes and people thought she was a jealous diva. She knew Jlo stole other people’s work 😂

When I worked in hotels at Disney it was very well known among every single castmember that JLo was the absolute worst celebrity guest imaginable. From her demands and not tipping to simply not seeing us as fellow human beings, she was a nightmare from check-in to check-out.

JLo wasn't acting alone though, there were big discographic companies and producers behind her that moved the threads and made small artists to sign shitty deals, I do not think it is entirely fair to only blame JLo for everything. I think the whole system stinks and JLo was their golden card at that time, hence a good investment and now that she is on the sunset of her career they let all rumours come to life, to just beat the competition for younger artists that shine at the moment. Overall it is a shitty industry. However regarding the rest of her behaviour, I agree she seems to have many narcicistic traits, she definitely has some behavioural issues, it seems that many people in showbiz today belong to the narcicistic spectrum.

Sephora dropped her brand due to low sales. i tried a free sample of the body cream, it wasn't anything special. not worth the money.
It's unfortunate that Sephora had to make the decision to discontinue the brand, but it seems like their products may not have been meeting consumer expectations in terms of quality and value. It's always disappointing when a product doesn't live up to the hype, especially when it comes to something like skincare. A lot of celebrities, especially in her generation, LOVE to exaggerate how underprivileged their upbrings were to seem "relatable", "tough", or "hardworking", and they do it because they know most people would take their word for it and instantly believe them. If a celebrity centers their entire identity around "coming from humble beginnings" or "starting from the bottom", I automatically consider it a red flag that they're lying. Almost all of those types of celebrities either grew up middle class or rich and are lying about it to manipulate their fans. I can't think of a single celebrity who flexes how "poor" they were as kids who was actually poor and didn't go to private school, grow up in a nice home, had their parents pay for tons of singing/dancing/acting lessons as kids, or have parents with high paying jobs.

I remember that when she did maid in manhattan or something like that there was a colombian girl who was her fitting model and news from our country asked her about how was working with her. She mentioned something regarding she totally failing to acknowledge her very existence, but since those were other times the girl didn't seem bothered by that.

I probably had one of the strangest haircut experiences..( he had two assistants hold the hair while he cut) but one of the best haircuts. Thanks Jlo😂

That's honestly been a problem for a while, since the 2000s, maybe earlier.
