omg, WTF has Emily Ratajkowski done to her face?!

- Emily Ratajkowski's face has changed recently, and as someone who's career is based on her looks, I thought we'd talk about it. is it simply normal ageing? plastic surgery? or gasp BUCCAL FAT REMOVAL?! Emily Rata is a renowed model, author, feminist and actress. She has a huge social media following, and makes her living based off her looks. Emily has one of those beautiful, unique faces that is so interesting to look at - or at least, she used to. Recently it seems as though Emily may be dabbling in a few popular celebrity tweakments, but just like with so many others, has it added or detracted from her natural beauty? Buccal fat removal for example, is all the rage right now, but I personally think humans look quite nice with their buccal fat intact, Emily included.
Let me know what you guys think in the comments. Love ya! x - Jak na to + styl
Omg.... why are all of these celebrity women morphing into each other it’s so strange.
Agreed. They were beautiful before the surgeries. I don’t understand why they want to remove all the unique features of their body.
im not american or smth but i noticed that all women celebrities from my country look literally the same nowdays💀the bbls, the lip injections and everything😭its just sad atp
Because they’re all trying to meet the same standard, of course.
Not sure if they realize how this will age. Being older, thin, and no facial fat is not a recipe for looking youthful. They are sucking fat out of their cheeks while young.....not good.
Because in America and Europe they have only one beauty standard. As weird as it sounds, I think its true
Not the damn buccal fat removal thing again 🙄
Right?? Her cheek bones were already chiseled imo
@@brookeswapp5871FLOYD!!!
It won’t stop!! Why?!
You literally look like you do crack after you get that procedure done. I don’t understand how it’s attractive at all
Ikr??? Whyyy, she was so beautiful
This just proves to me that it doesn't matter how "beautiful" you are, we all are still insecure.
It’s crazy!
same for women and men
And once you go with those aesthetician doctors, they’ll be enthusiastic about making you super aware about your flaws… and from what I’ve seen in some persons, these procedures become addictive
im not
@@accomplushed thats good
it would be so ironic if Kendall went to her doctor requesting to look like Emily, while Emily told her doctor she wanted to look like Kendall 😩
I wouldn't doubt they try to outdo each other. They're constantly wearing the same trends, looking similar. No one is original and unique, much less, NATURAL.
Omg 😂😂😂
😭😭😭
😂
😂
Why do every celeb wonna look like handsome squidward 😭
Loooool best comment x'D 👌
😭
They wish!
🤣
Ironically in my opinion 'handsome' Squidward was pretty ugly.
I'm so tired of beauty standards. I just want to age and enjoy my life.
Preach. I’m sick of all of it.
Especially when it results in the complete opposite of "beauty" - oh the irony!
I’m tired of it too. I miss natural beauty
Me too. ❤
AMEN
she ruined her face. She was literally drop dead gorgeous
She was never pretty
🤣🙄
AHE IA VERY ORETTY BUT TOO SKINNY IN RIB AREA,,,,,,, SHE COULD HAVE CHOSEN A BETTER LOOKING MAN.
Nah, she was beautiful, but it was by the skin of her teeth, or despite her not conventionally attractive features. Downturned eyes, big nose, oddly shaped face. Her vibe, and body helped carry her. She's borderline ugly. She's refreshing tho, has character
Drop dead gorgeous? Ehhh
The removal makes them look older, such a stupid move! Hollywood wants timeless youth right?😅
i mean i kinda noticed a pattern here, most women that get buccal fat removal are involved w the modelling industry bcz chisled cheekbones give everyone a model look
That's what I always assumed? Weird times
Yes but a jawline is also very important apparantly (madness..), “model look”
All of these women are going to look like that cat women. When you stretch out your skin that's it!
It makes them look older but not old. There’s a difference between 14 yr old youth and mid 20s-30s youth which is what the celebrities are going for I think
The buccal fat removal is the worst "trend" when did looking sickly or like your on drugs bc desirable? 🤢
I thought cheek implants looked awful as they kinda achieve the same effect but buccal fat removal takes it another step ahead
It was *the* look in the mid 90s when I was a teen girl. Heroin chic. Yikes.
@@stephgreen3070 I know 🤣 Im 36
Early 90s. Kate Moss. Heroin chic. But hose types would be considered too fat these days most likely.
Heroin chic is back
I love your perspective Stephanie. It’s honestly dystopian how even women who are “the standard” and hold other girls to it by societal pressure cannot even keep up with themselves. Meeting the beauty standard will never be obtained, it will always be out of reach.
Spot on. chasing a mirage.
It’s like the Twilight Zone
Love this. There is literally not a point where any human woman can achieve this ideal so what’s the point? The thought of disrespecting millenia of my ancestors by going under the knife, risking my life under anesthesia, in a never ending pursuit of delusional male desires is something out of a dystopian horror film. I see people as very cute in their own ways. It’s the cookie cutter influencer faces that jumpscare me😂
With plastic surgery you can reach it🤷🏻❤🤗💘😍
Emily's been having work done for over a decade.
Thank you, I was wondering why no one brought that up.
Yea that's what I thought. She had a nose job when she was younger
honestly
It’s crazy that the one woman I thought would have tons and tons of plastic surgery (Pamela Anderson) is the one refraining from changing her face because she said she wants to see what happens as she ages. I wish more women felt the way she does. Pamela actually looks more normal and pretty than a lot of these younger women who keep twisting and pulling their face.
In my opinion Pamela looks more gorgeous now than she ever has.
@@sunnie734 I agree, 💯
She’s a breath of fresh air in the dystopian climate of female models, celebrities & influencers altering their faces to fit the current standard. Young girls need more role models like pamela 😭
i wish more people think like her ❤
I'm just shocked that people just now noticed she's been getting work done...95% of H.W. has! Most of them are either average looking people trying to achieve the standard and the other half fall into the beauty standard but are trying to keep it. It's a game that never ends. 🎃
Bottom Line...even if they're mostly natural, they're still getting work done one way or another, whether it's non-invasive work or injectables
Yeah, I had this realization earlier this year that virtually all celebrities have had work done. It’s crazy.
In my opinion buccal fat removal ages people SO many years! 🙃
Wow she was naturally insanely beautiful... I feel so bad for these women who think they need all of these procedures done. It's heartbreaking 💔
It’s not the women ,. It’s the men around them doing social experiments on them to see how they handle stress and trauma ❤ and how it affects their appearance
@@leighleigh8725Let’s not kid ourselves… other women definitely play a part in it too, my mom was always the one growing up that was super conscious about my appearance and what I was wearing

Nowadays i’m so glad that I didn’t download TikTok and I kept myself off of Instagram because I really think that that’s saved me from very bad body dysmorphia. I’m still insecure, but I could be in a way worse of a state if I would’ve kept TikTok all throughout 2020, 2021 at 2022, and being a stupid young girl I would’ve probably gotten all of the surgery when I would’ve been an adult but I’m so glad I stayed off social media that time. Btw I’m 17 right now
honestly, tik tok is really harmful, not only talking abt beauty standards but seeing some people s awesome lives everyday while ur living like an average person might really affect u long term lol(kinda speaking from experience rn but im fine)
Me too 🙌 I do sometimes feel like I'm left out but then I see how absolutely addicting TikTok and bad for your health it is and I'm very fine and good again with not using it. Really want to continue. Also I did have Instagram back in my teenage years and it was horrible for me and I'm so glad I eventually was strong enough to just delete it. Am way to scared to go down that hellhole ever again.
same! I'm 20 and not the most positive person in the world when it comes to how I look but I feel like I'd be so incredibly worse if I had tiktok like it'd probably brainwash me so bad
@aliciarehakka2547 well done as a young person of today you should be proud of yourself and stay away from social media. I'm 42 and grew up in the 80s and 90s where no social media was available and till this day I do what is best for me 😊
You are
So young
I will always think baby faces add a certain softeness to someone's look that's so cuteee
Yeah, like Reese Witherspoon, Miranda Kerr and Selena Gomez. They'll always look much younger than they are 😍
Nobody wants to look “cute” though. Cute is for babies and puppies
@@Wakka144 huh??? a lot of people want to look and remain cute, it's associated with youthfulness. cute is not a negative term.

I was homeless and my hair was bleach blonde and short and a man walked up to me and said, "you're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen." I believe he was being sincere by the look in his eyes. (You learn to read people when you live on the street). But I sure didn't feel beautiful being homeless though, I felt less than human. Yes, I made this about me!
Stephanie is beautiful BTW!!
I'm happy that you're not homeless anymore 🎉 congratulations 👏

@@bunnyboonot4u thank you so much, actually I've been lucky and never had to experience being homeless till now in my life but I think that you don't necessarily have to go through an horrible experience to understand that it's something painful real and always present for the person who is living it, you just have to listen to them and help.
I'm sure that person had good intentions by saying that but you just teached me to be more careful when talking to someone going through an hard time because even good intentions can backfire and make the person feel bad about themselves, thank you :)
Omg seeing the side by side photos of her and Kendall is WILD. They seriously do look like sisters?!!!
I’m actually becoming more confident as I get older, partly thanks to these videos. I love you Steph!!
I'm so glad! xx
It’s really sad that very young women are losing their beautiful, ethnic looks. That’s beauty in itself, not looking exactly like someone else.
Agreed, this buckle fat removal trend hasn't made anyone look better.. it makes them look like drugs addicts =(
I think Leah Michelle looks nice with hers.
This is what happens when your whole career is based on meeting the beauty standards of the moment. This is why people like Kate Winslet, Emma Thompson, Julianne Moore and Annette Benning have been able to survive. They started out as young conventionally pretty performers but had the kind of talent and made the kind of choices that allowed them to age gracefully and not HAVE to be "pretty" or young. Even Tyra Banks made sure she had a backup plan so that she did not have to stay young and "hot" in the conventional sense.
Stephanie, what you and people like you are doing is important. I am 51 and if I was able to access content like yours growing up I could have been saved so much distress, including an eating disorder. Whether you realize it or not, you and people like you are preventing a group of young people from getting eating disorders.
Someone once said she looked like an ostrich and I've never been able to get that out of my head every time i see her. It's even more pronounced now.
She kind of does, with the long neck, big eyes and lips, small face and head, but I think she’s a beautiful ostrich. We all are unique and could be compared to another species based on our features.
😂😂😂 the way u said it
I've heard this too, and I can't unsee it. It's the overfilled lips that does it for me.
@@NSK1123 LOL I didn't know if it was common knowledge or not. Literally some person either on here or Instagram said it 😅🤣
@@Letthembelightpeaceonelove Yes, a beautiful ostrich no doubt!
Lip filler always looks bad. It throws a person's facial balance off and un-natural big lips look more like a painful allergic reaction than something beautiful.
You’d be surprised how unnoticeable well injected lip filler looks.
@@ES11777it can look good/ be unnoticeable when it actually suits the face if it doesn’t it looks off or like a allergic reaction
Not always, for some people it suits their face better. If done well it can look natural and subtle.
I've literally never seen anyone with lip fillers that I thought looked good with it. They always look the same. Fake plastic looking lips. Yuck.
I think it looks weird when it’s noticeably swollen which is usually a sign of overfilling
When I was younger, like most girls, I struggled immensely with my body image. Social media influences where the main source of my dismorphia, that being said i absolutely love your videos and the message you're sharing!!
Her nose has been worked on. Her right nostril used to be higher than her left, now they are even (left nostril was raised), and the nose looks overall thinner. Sad bc my insecurity are my uneven nostrils. I always liked that she had them too bc she is so beautiful.
Noo I am sorry you feel that way! Please know you are beautiful the way you are and you dont need to turn into a hollywood clone. Personally I try and getvwork done on my „inner beauty“, meaning I try and be kinder, more patient and helpful. I feel this will have a more positive effect on my life than obsessing over my outer beauty and comparing myself constantly.
Don't be sad my nose is the same & I wouldn't change for the world 🤗
Stephanie Lange said she has uneven nostrils herself and she’s beautiful and i’m sure you are too.
I *love* your final takeaway - that looks aren't everything; they're merely a facet of a multi-dimensional person. Being beautiful may give you confidence and privilege, but it doesn't protect you from life's pain. It also isn't the sole determinant of a person's worth. It took me a while to understand this, and I'm glad you're spreading the word. Thank you ❤
been watching you for probably close to a decade but this series of yours recently has really help me to feel beautiful as I am despite how much space my insecurity tends to take up. so very much appreciate you and what you do Steph. thanks a bunch :)
The pressure for all women aging is intense. I can’t imagine when so much of a deal has been placed on your appearance and your career on it, how much pressure she’s felt. Plus having a baby and being cheated on. Women have it tough.
I loved how different Emily looked before. Her Israeli family features come through strong and that is gorgeous. I really liked how many people fancied her as she had quite a different look to most other Hollywood white celebs. Now she looks like the rest of them
White people in Hollywood don't even look like White people
..
She has a Polish last name I don’t know if she is ethnically Jewish. Maybe partially
I haven’t seen one person that has had buccal fat removal that looks good. Love your honesty! P.S.Your brows look fantastic Stephanie.
Selena Gomez has had it and looks good because she had a lot of buccal fat so it’s not a crazy gaunt look on her at all
Zendaya..she didn't need the buccal fat removal, but looks great.
If you have a full or fullish face and do it in a subtle way the way Margot Robbie and (possibly) Charlize Theron did it, it actually looks good.
It looked good on Eiza Gonsalez too.
Zoe Kravitz looks good with hers also. I think it works for people who already really had lots of fat in their face anyway. If your face starts out very angular it makes sense to stay away from that procedure
I feel like Emily’s selling point was always her body, not her face. She certainly has a lovely face, but as long as her body is still the same I feel she’ll get work and attention with a paper bag on her face bc her body is so beautiful!
“You cannot shrink your bones” 🤣😂🤣
What drives me absolutely insane about emrata is that in her book, she felt so real and seemed to be acutely aware and critical of the pressures she felt from social media. So to see her still give into the pressures of social media trends and cosmetic procedures makes me feel like the person that wrote “Her Body” isn’t the same person I’m seeing online, which to me, is a huge shame.
Is she not allowed to be insecure?
Is she not allowed to be insecure?
The book was written by a ghost writer.
If she even wrote that book to begin with 🥴🥴🥴
How do you know?@@dr.philmcbill3931
it’s so creepy how everyone eventually has the same features from plastic surgery. at least emily kept her nose. it’s stunning and goes with the rest of her features because it’s natural. i can’t understand why everyone wants to have weird, tiny, bunny noses which they heavily contour with makeup anyway.
I completely agree. The amount of nose jobs that end up giving every single woman the same fake-looking upturned nose, is just insane!! Noses show your ethnicity and heritage and left alone they will always look the best. Emily’s nose is absolutely perfect! And if she suddenly had an upturned nose it would just look soooo wrong 😑
Your hair looks so good! Love the color change. ❤

Fuck trend of getting rid of something i treasure. People still think i am much, much younger because of the buccal fat. I intend on getting older slower, thank you very much 😅
same here! I hated my round face as a teenager but have learned to appreciate it 😊 especially when I look at my mum who is in her late 50s and seems 10 years younger… makes me hopeful that I will age just like her.
And contouring is optional if someone wants a chiseled look. Buccal fat removal is irreversible…
I don’t really find her all that pretty tbh idk just me though
I don't think she is either.
I think it's because of her body. She is super skinny with big breasts, thats why people think she is hot, not because of her "pretty" face.
All I see is Andrew Garfield when I see her
She is boring like all the other pretty people
@@nyla27855😳 I can't unsee it now.
Seeing such naturally gorgeous women feel the need to plastic surgery makes me want to be less harsh on myself and appreciate my uniqueness.
Personality and behaviour are more important in the long run than physical gorgeousness. At school, and at work, one learns what people are really like. The most beautiful person can have a rotten attitude and be unpleasant to be with. A less "conventionally attractive" person can be a hard worker, trustworthy, and have a sense of humour. Which of the two is the more attractive individual? Whom do people want to work with? Whom do people want to spend time with? We can't all look like celebrities (and why should we need to?), but everybody can work on developing their minds, starting a new hobby, or a new sport, volunteer work, etc.
What one chooses do with one's life makes one a much more interesting person
than just one's physical characteristics. ❤
I love what you said. ❤

Hi Steph! Thank you for sending a positive message with every post! You make my day!! 🥰🥰
Your channel is doing the important work. I always welcome a reminder that my normal face is okay!!
Being cheated on really hits you deep into your self-esteem. I'm already really thin and I look kinda good not going to lie but it never feels enough. I wish for a bigger butt, new boobs and a new face but it's never going to solve the feeling of not being good enough. It's about accepting the good parts and not anything that has to do with looks but feeling good about who you are inside and knowing that no one else can have your personality and soul.
You have to ask yourself why you want to be 'good enough' for a man of shallow morals and a cheating pig nature. WHY? Men will fuck a hole in the wall or a handful of vaseline, ffs. They seek trophy girlfriends for ego purposes and cheat on them for more ego purposes or because they find them all interchangeable, because they aren't actually interested in the woman, just the superficial hotness. Hacking yourself into the latest fashion won't attract a good or loyal man. We're misled that beauty is the only currency, but it's only thr currency for shallow attention. Be happy with yourself and spend time on your character and you will attract better men, not ones who want a human handbag to show off to their mates, Seriously, models get treated like utter shit by the type of men who chase and date models. You do not want to live that life.
This.
Most of the time the women that men cheat with aren't even thin or particularly good looking anyways.

My friend is a radiologist I asked her out of interest if these laser hair removal tools like Kenzie can cause cancer and she said there hasn't been alot of research on this topic but since it's laser it "provokes" cells that have damage but "sleep still" in your body as long as they aren't triggered to mutate. Which can then lead to cancer. She says using it once every half year shouldn't be a problem but don't over do it.
I personally have been liberated from trying to meet any beauty standards and it is a wonderful feeling! All you have to do is look at the most wealthy and famous models in the world go thru hell to try to make themselves even prettier and they're still not happy with themselves so I just decided to skip the whole lot!
Storytime:
My grandma and I were watching a tv series. I pointed out to my granny that the female lead has got surgery. My granny was like- "that's something you get, when you meet with an accident." I don't blame her for this notion because in Indian TV series, the lead characters usually get facial surgeries when they survive death and their face gets disfigured in the process. Or when the antagonist changes her face in order to ruin the lead character's life. Fucked up I would say.
My cousin is a marine engineer. And once his ship caught fire and while trying to save his life, half of his face was burned. He & his crew were treated in Osaka. He had to get plastic surgery. He was the second person, I know, who got surgery. But now his left profile looks a bit different. It looks a bit puffed, polished and silicone type.
A family friend once survived a car accident and had to get his whole face fixed by the surgeons. He can't even form expressions anymore. He always looks pissed.
Now I understand why my grandma thought that this is something that is done to save your life. When I told her that today many people get surgeries she asked, "why would they do that? Now they won't look their family."
THAT HAIR COLOR SUITS YOU SO WELLLL DONT CHANGE IT
This was so crazy!

In regards to ribcage, if someone were to wear a waist trainers or corset after pregnancy (like some people do), then it can give a smaller waist. Because the joints/bones still have the movement from pregnancy. Jessica Alba is well known to have done all that.

I liked how you emphasized the responsibility these beauty influencers should have. I completely agree that they should be transparent about the work they have done. Young people are particularly impressionable and are at risk for eating disorders and low self esteem. They may believe that all of that is not the product of procedures.
Gotta say this new hair color suits you 😊❤

Once we all start looking like the standard, the standard will change.
Buccal fat removal is a very interesting trend. We are obsessed with youth and all of the beauty procedures' main goal is to look younger. But one of youth traits is rounded cheek and youthful softness in the face. When buccal fat is removed you just look a lot older and sicker. Very weird.
Cardi b is a prime example of this!! We all remember what she looked like on Love and HIPHOP. It’s crazy that’s she’s gotten sooooo much surgery people actually say she favors Nicki Minaj now. Crazy!
