Beyond that too they just don't care to know the objective truth of what he is or what he does--they are profoundly ignorant and driven by fear--Trump represents safety and reassurance that the world really does conform to their childish black and white fantasy where things are simple and there are winners and losers and bad guys and good guys... They want this fantasy in a a priori kind of way-they start with that cart before the horse of actually looking at how he truly is.

I am curious what Trump supporters make of his blatant lies over petty things that nobody but him cares about. Everyone fumbles a word here and there. Just owning it, saying, " I misspoke" and moving on is a much better way of handling this type of thing. And I may add a much more mature way. But he just exacerbates it with these tweets. The axiom that comes to mind is, "The lying/cover up is often worse than the crime." By tweeting and lying in the face of video evidence and then changing that lie turns it from a semi-funny, completely inconsequential gaff to a prime example of Trump's willingness to fly in the face of truth, even when the situation is cut and dry, black and white.
So the question is 'why does he do this?' It is exceedingly petty and far below the dignity and responsibility of the president of the United States. Tweets like these mean nothing in a vacuum. But cumulatively they reveal a great deal about his priorities and what thoughts occupy his mind.
Therefore I put this to trump supporters: what message do you take away from these tweets and instances where he is clearly and intentionally evading the truth? I am not asking this sarcastically or maliciously, I am honestly curios.

The funny is funny, but there is also a lot of scary evil shit being done by that administration. The buffoon is a great distraction from the truly fucked policies being pushed and implemented in the background. It is hoped that murricans will see that despite the corruption "on both sides," one side seems to be actively malicious and anti-human. Seriously. The false equivalence hoax is amazing -- the shameless lying and projection is beyond orwellian. Critical thinking and education that can't be dismissed and biased toward any faction is the only effective vaccine I can think of. Without that, we're stuck in either despair apathy inaction or in more of the same ends justifying means constitutional abuse by whatever faction our adolescent-brained rebellious self-destructive core population reflexively supports (because the perceived "opposite" of whatever shitty ideology fucked them last time is mistakenly adopted as the path to muh freedums), will also be serving the same predatory capitalistic corps they have always served. If we can't think critically and don't have a sense of history. . .or at least a grasp on the patterns and methods that repeat throughout recorded history (regardless of implicit and overt spin and framing injected by the 'winners' who recorded it) and a good, strong dose of critical thinking and general skepticism, we'll be stuck in this loop until the end o' days. You simply can't have any of the good bits offered by democratic systems if there is a critical mass of citizens who are manipulated and controlled because they have no context or reasoning skills and thought-hygiene habits to defend against propaganda from any group.
I guess we're pretty much fucked then. Fear shuts down the human part of our brains. The subsystems that fill the vacuum are those that are concerned with minute-to-minute survival. Fear has always worked to control populations. Don't get me wrong, social control is needed - like most tools, it is not 'good' or 'bad', but it is almost always abused. Yes, tools influence thinking and problem-framing....so they can be goodish or badish, but are still sort of neutral. . .sort of. . oh shit. . if one only has a hammer....fuck. nevermind. (what have I done?!)

Well, the congressional Republicans have abdicated their constitutional responsibility and put party over country. And Pelosi would rather exploit Trump's existential threat for fund raising into 2020 instead of fulfill her constitutional responsibility to hold the president to account. Its a corrupt system that allows the corrupt to remain. It isn't that we cannot find the means, it is that those with the power and responsibility to do so are uninterested in pursuing such justice and would rather exploit the circumstances for their own ends.

Too bad the Bible gives instructions to husbands about how to GET an abortion if your wife is unfaithful, and god ordered his people to "rip open the wombs" of pregnant Samarian women as well as telling them to "dash the little ones on the rocks". In fact, he regularly told his people to kill infants and to stab pregnant women through the belly.
Therefore I put this to trump supporters: what message do you take away from these tweets and other instances where he is clearly dissembling? I am not asking this sarcastically or maliciously, I am honestly curios.
