- The CMA Awards aired on ABC, Democrats were riding the high after election night even though they probably lost the House and could still lose the Senate, MAGA-Land was expecting a big victory, we are still awaiting results from a couple of key states including Arizona and Nevada, it appears Lauren Boebert of Colorado might be out of a job, Herschel Walker and Raphael Warnock are headed to a runoff and Herschel remains unfazed and unintelligible, at the Governor level Democrats had their best midterm since 1986, John Fetterman beat Dr. Oz in Pennsylvania and Trump is said to be livid over the loss, prevailing wisdom among Democrats and Republicans is that they might have done better without Trump, Rudy Giuliani provided some excellent election day coverage, five states voted on whether slavery should be banned, recreational cannabis was on the ballot in a number of states, and focus now shifts to who will run in 2024, including someone who just entered the world of board games to burnish his financial credentials.

As a Pennsylvanian (Pittsburgh), I'm so glad that Fetterman won. I've witnessed his abilities personally. My community has rocked with him for years now, so I'm not surprised that he won. Not only is he popular here, but in other urban cities in PA as well. The election of 2020 has proven that PA is blue, so I don't understand the shock at Fetterman winning 🤷🏿♀️

South Dakotan here. We voted and legalized it in 2020. Our governor, Kristi Noem, directed two cops to sue the voters to overturn the election. She succeeded. Many voters here (unfortunately) feel like our votes don't matter. We have hardly any funding to drive voting from the DNC or any other sources. Our towns are so spread out and we did what we could. It's such a depressing situation here regarding weed today. Marijuana is a very nuanced subject here with a lot of history rather than "they did not vote for it." However, we did expand Medicaid! It was a drastic need. That is massive for us and will save thousands of lives!

I live in Wisconsin and I am very happy to have boring Gov. Evers for a second term. He vetoes all the stupid 💩 the Republican Legislature tries to enact into law. We've already lived through the Scott Walker regime and Michels would have been more of the same.

They IMMEDIATELY passed a Tax Cut for corporations and the wealthy, they were one Vote (John McCain) short of repealing Obamacare with NO Replacement Plan, they appointed almost 200 Judges that Mitch McConnell blocked for Obama's last 2 years as President and then? They pretty much did nothing.
Republicans even spent the time they controlled Congress while Obama was President doing pretty much nothing. For people who check, there is no reason to support Republicans so why Republicans got nearly 50 percent in some Races? It's odd.
