Tragically, just based off of the reaction the bully had to being terminated, which was to blame OP, the bully didn't learn a damn thing. Her slandering her boss and a co-worker, all because she had an ax to grind with a former classmate, tells me everything I need to know about her.
I've known people far older than her who's still behave like overgrown middle school bullies who peaked at age 12. I've known people in their forties, their 50s and older who still behave like mean-spirited, spiteful, insecure, jealous children.

i’ve been watching rslash for years and have become severely upset and disappointed with how he’s been treating abuse stories lately. as someone who has been through an abusive relationship, the stuff that is “boring” (legal routes, getting your ducks in order) is EXTREMELY important. calling it “boring” takes away the importance of things. not to mention how often he says to “just leave” about abuse situations without listening or thinking about how hard and grueling it can be to leave, especially if (like in this story) a major part of your support system is gaslighting you or convincing you the abuse isn’t real.
i genuinely hope he can read comments and listen to his audience about these heavy topics, especially if he has no experience in it himself. it took me months to leave an abusive relationship that i was groomed into, and if someone afterwards said i should’ve “just left” i would be livid. it’s insensitive, rude, and putting blame on the victim for staying as long as they did. please do better, don’t spread the idea that it’s easy to leave, as i’ve heard a lot of in the past videos. do better, for your audience and any abuse victims/survivors that might be listening.

The controlling hubby/divorce Story: I always wonder how it is legal to fight a divorce!! For me, the act of marriage is always a "both have to consent" kind of thing, but also a divorce should be a "one consent" kind of thing because, as soon as only one party feels uncomfortable and want's a divorce there is nothing else someone can do!! Marriage is all about consent of both! And OP doesn't want it anymore, so it's off!!
It makes me sick to think about, that OP's hubby could just fight it and say no! That's not how a partnership works!! How can it be, that you can break up an intimit (non-marriage) partnership with one veto but you need two vetos to break up a marriage? That's sick! If I ever marry I will draw up a prenup that will state that the marriage can be annuled with only one partners consent! Because if I don't have the security to always say "no, I'm out" I won't do it!

    • @survivedandthriving
      @survivedandthriving Před 27 dny +1

I always wondered about that too. But, a friend who knows more about legal stuff than I do (and keep in mind we are not in the US) explained that under the law a marriage contract is a contract. In the same way we cannot just say 'well, yeah I signed the contract to pay $1000 for 50 widgets, but I figured out it is a bad deal so I'm not going through with it' we cannot say 'well, yeah but the marriage is not what I thought so I'm breaking the contract'.
YES buying widgets and avoiding being abused (or even killed) by one's spouse are ENTIRELY different situations. But part of the problem is that these laws apparently go back to times when women were considered chattel rather than persons, so marriage essentially was a transaction that included 'the transfer of ownership' of the woman by her father to her husband. And, apparently, no one has really updated the statutes since. So now, butthole spouses (of any gender - at least that has been updated) can use this situation as a tool to cause additional pain to their partners who wish to divorce them.
Personally, I think it is all BS in a similar way that calling pets 'just property' is BS, but apparently that is the explanation for the BS situation of it.

Although the image of someone wearing a gorilla suit getting punched is funny, this is still a toxic situation overall, and again, good that OP has distanced himself from them.
Story 2: Holy ... OP should count her lucky stars, cause her ex is a literal DV case waiting to happen. The extremely controlling behavior, the meltdown and physical damage of property when things did not go his way, forget "bullet dodged", this is a freaking nuke dodged. Plus, with the way the ex's family and inner circle of friends are ragging on OP, I can see where the ex got his narcissism from. My word of advice, OP: never look back, and if you can physically move away, do it, cause narcissists like him will never let this slight go until they get that "I win" moment, even if it will take years to make you drop your guard. Do not give him that chance.
Story 3: Some people just never really leave high school behind, and OP, I applaud you for finally taking a stand against your tormenter (one of them, at least). Most of these people still think they can push people around like they are still in power, and well ... she messed around and found out. OP, no need to fret about her last dig at you, cause that is a trait of narcissism: the need to have the final say in everything. As long as you live your life well and show she has no power over you, that is the best revenge you can get against her.

Pranks story: I think the three of them need to be checked into the psychiatric ward of the hospital. Pranks (IMO) are not something you build a relationship on.
School bully at work story: OP, I hope it's over, but don't count on it. You did the right thing by informing your manager. But I wouldn't be surprised if the store or you personally start getting some bad reviews anonymously as a way for the bully/bullies to get revenge. Be on the lookout for them and inform the manager ASAP if they appear.

Story 1: "I expected a mature response from her." cause she had proven to be such a mature person so far..... It's a pretty good thing they broke up. They weren't a good match and OP had an unrealistic, idolized fantasy about who his gf was.

I dont know if this is an unpopular opinion but whenever R Slash says im just gonna sum this up or just skips over parts as they are "boring" or "uninteresting" its really annoying as he misses some very important parts and it just seems like he doesn't want his videos to be so long. When we would love longer videos and we would like to know the WHOLE story not just a TLDR.

Oh wait I got it it’s the guys roommate who likes OP’s gf so he got them to prank each other so he could get closer but I think OP’s gf like her pranking buddy. Heard this on mark narrations and saved it to see if it would get an update

  • @Melvin_Master_of_Rainbows

That first story was a wild ride, lol. I was not expecting a twist ending. I hope we get an update with the GF's reaction to realizing what was actually going on. (I'm trying to not spoil what happens for anyone who reads comments before that point in the video.)
Story 2- glad OP got out of there. I do wish you would have read more of the updates, though. I feel like you skipped too much this time.
But man, story 3- as bad as what just happened was, at least she was able to get backup and stand up for herself. I'm deeply upset about what the bully and her twin put OP through as a kid. That one story and description alone paint a horrific image (and the twin brother beating her up at school??wtf???) I can only imagine what her everyday life must have been like. (Also, the bully is pathetic! Did she just not grow at all in seven years? What adult makes up dumb lies about people and then fusses about OP being a "tattletale" LOL) As others have said, OP, don't assume it's over- the twin nightmares may try to retaliate. Be careful and take good care of yourself, OP. Maybe even let the police know this happened (and that there is history of them abusing you) as a 'just in case' something else happens precaution.

Yeah, it definitely could've gone badly for that dude in the story. Last story reminds me of a couple months back at the place my brother works.
Location manager was suddenly getting a divorce because he was caught banging one of the department managers in his office (who he had promoted from the lowest rung in less than 6 months) and got fired, said department manager was put on notice and then quit, and a bunch of other middle managers were dragged into a mess for reporting them when they found out about what was going on and he tried to falsely take them down with him.
Both of them were assholes so literally no one was surprised and now they've got someone who is all business instead of 48% asshole, 52% control freak so everyone except his family won in the end. Though, maybe his newborn did also win. If he acted like that in public, it's probably best the kid not be near him constantly.

First story: I don’t think the problem was Declan and Gf’s friendship, it was her reaction to OP bringing up his concerns. Now obviously she had a crush on Declan the whole time which is problematic, but having a friend who you like to goof off with isn’t inherently emotional cheating.
