OMG the husband sneakily being very sweet was exactly what my heart needed
With all the stories on these subs about people being horrible to each other, sweet wholesome stories like these are a needed palette cleanser.
It's sad that she only approves of it because she's getting something out of it. I hope she's as supportive when he finds a hobby that is just for him and of no benefit to her.
@@listey I'm sorry, what?
@@listey A little unnecessarily cynical there, don't you think?
Like, okay, I can see how you can twist, "I'm so delighted that he's learning a new skill, so that I can have a custom blanket," into she only approves of it because she is getting something out of it.
But with the context of everything else? I honestly think it is a slightly poorly worded glowingly happy wife, celebrating the man she loves and cherishes. She is amazed that instead of going out and buying a chunky yarn blanket for her, or asking his aunt to make one for her, that he decided to try something new to learn a new skill for just the sake of learning it.
I mean, sure, you can chose how you interpret the story, but I am going to chose to believe they are an utterly wholesome family.
@@dposcuro I agree. I was smiling at the end of the story, happy to hear of a loving couple where the husband was showing his love by making something and the wife appreciating his efforts.
That first story is hilarious. If he was "prepping" the other girl, why did she freak out when OP walked in? 💀
Also, OP wasn’t supposed to be home yet, she left work early so how would he be surprising her if she wasn’t supposed to be there? 😂
Cause he wasn't and his excuse was prepped far in advance.
@@isisguzman550 I mean he successfully surprised her, by getting caught cheating so there's that 😂
Perhaps he wanted to cheat with her a few times without OP knowing so that when the threesome did occur, he would be comfortable or something? Idk.
Can you imagine hooking up with a guy while a girl walks in and he says this is now a threesome? 😵
Guy in the last story needs to be kept with at all costs
*We can all agree he's a W husband* 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
As a knitter and crocheter, who have a husband that can't tell the difference between the two, after 16 years of marriage, I get tears in my eyes over the last story.
Story 1: apparently it was a surprise all the way around. If the other woman had known this was to be a threesome, she would not have scrambled around to cover herself when OP walked in. Right?;
That's very much the reason. The guy was talking about a Threesome so he could bring in the girl he cheats with and not have any guilt about it. Obviously the other girl had no idea what he was doing.
Also, how would he be surprising when she wasn’t supposed to be home yet?
EXACTLY. The fact that she bounced IMEDIATELY without a WORD already made that a bs excuse!
Agree
Exactly, if the other woman was informed of his supposed plan, wouldn't she strike a sexy pose with a "come hither" finger wage or something? Not have a clear as day "oh no the wife is home!" reaction?
Story 3: Now THAT's a keeper. I really am tired with cheater stories populating BestOf though, Reddit really seems to love those
Because its something so personal but also universal.
We have all either been cheated on or know someone who was cheated on so it fires up the emotional centers in a lot of people.
The fact the third story is openly labeled 'happy story' is great. That aside, second story, I imagine the town lost more money on trying to sue OP than trying to handle the plant. But I also imagine it's a small town that thought it could bully people around.
Considering how brazen they were going about it, I wouldn't be surprised if this sort of stuff had happened before and been swept under the rug
Story 2: Can definitely confirm the story. I lived in the next town over and the town government was horrible when it came to anything lining their pockets.
Alot of people were happy when the plant closed down, the smell was so bad that on extremely windy days you could smell it from miles outside of town. I'm just surprised it wasn't shut down sooner due to affecting other towns
Love that last husband and his sweet surprise for his Wife! Good for the both of them and their wholesome deception, effort to show love, and excitement at surprising each other!
Story 2: All of this over OP being frustrated with the pollution and wanting to call out the town. Those attempts to censor are pretty bad though, OP had the right to express their frustrations
They really should have been familiar with the Streisand Effect
The first amendment is supposed to restrict all levels of government. But if OP wanted to be petty, he could redo the page with a big "Town government sued me to pull down the site, despite everything on the site being factual, this should tell you the current status of the town.".
Although what they did qualifies as potential defamation. As they intentionally tried to shut him out and made some bad faith actions regarding the situation, if I understand things.
The question is did the plant exist prior to the house being built? An odor does NOT mean pollution.
There was a cow farm in my local area that has been there for over a century. Obviously it smells like cow and dung. A few years ago someone decided to build houses adjacent to it. People bought the houses knowing there was some smelly cows next door. They decided to do what his guy did and go after the farm because "it smells". People like this make me so mad.
@@Miller54K Cow manure actually does emit pollution mostly through storage methods, especially liquid storage, which emit large amounts of methane. Cows themselves are the biggest agricultural source of greenhouse gasses worldwide. While I also agree with you that what people are doing to that guy is disgusting and overzealous we do have to acknowledge that he is producing pollution. They should leave that guy alone why buy a house you know is right next to a cow farm. It makes seem incredibly more stupid that they choose to live there knowing that cows are so pollutive.
@@Miller54K Same thing happens here. There has been a speedway in the area forever, and in the last decade or so there have been massive housing developments close by. People know where they're buying. And when the speedway season begins some Karen's complain and try to get it shut down.
*First OP:* This is next-level gaslighting from OP's ex. Did he seriously think that excuse would work? LOL! Best of luck to OP.
*Third OP:* That was a nice contrast to the first story (as was the second story, I guess). OP's got a keeper.
I'm getting so sick of everyone throwing around the term "gaslighting" on every single damn story erroneously but finally, finally someone actually used the word more or less correctly.
I feel like in order for it to be "next-level" he would need to be more competent at it.
@@TippytoeZombieit's "next level" because he said what he said, and kept a straight face....lol
@@wingracer1614I think that you’re just imagining things, it’s really not a word that’s used often or incorrectly.
@@Intacfil You don't read enough comments in here on cheating stories apparently. There are at least two more comments on just this story that use it and anytime there is a cheating story in here where the cheater tells one lie, the gaslighting comments commence.
Story 1: Wow, I heard of gaslighting boyfriends, but jeez, the audacity of this guy, there's no justification for cheating, like, at all.
If that guy keeps it up with his effortless bald-faced lying, he's going to end up in jail- or congress- or a law firm.
Exactly. A friend of my daughter’s had an ex like that who literally told her he cheated to make sure she was the one he wanted to be with!
He had clearly rehearsed it in his mind.. He really thought he was going to get away with it 😂
@@stevenandcarminabeedle9089I am so sorry that happened to her! Cheaters are nauseating!
@@IFBBProYeo, I know, right! I mean, if you're unhappy in the marriage/relationship, talk about it! Sort it out. Solve it... or if you can't, go your separate ways, how hard is that? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ah, I've heard Story 3 before, but it still makes me grin. I think Rslash needs a wholesome story now and again, you can literally hear the light in his voice when he reads about adorable people doing nice things for each other. ❤️
My dad is one of those cheaters that tries to justify their cheating. When one of my siblings got into a committed relationship, he said to them that sometimes you cheat on the people you love. To this day, he will say the cheating was a mistake but then says nobody's perfect and that he doesn't regret anything so yeah 🙄
That last story is so sweet. I started grinning just listening in on her finding out and pretending not to know. They sound like such a lovely couple!
Yeah as soon as r/slash read the husband wanted alone time but in the house I figured he was making her blanket 🥰 If he were cheating like we all thought he was at the title he would’ve asked for more than an hour away from home and no phone calls probably lol
Story 2: write back "it's not slander if it's true"
It's libel in this case. Slander is spoken.
Along with a picture of the letter they claimed they never sent.
Libel is written
@@stevenandcarminabeedle9089 Even better, put it up on the website saying "this is the letter they claimed they never sent".
“Sir, the ACLU is representing them”
“…what?”
Last story is so so sweet. I crochet for my family very often. Make baby blankets for their friends and plenty of my family want custom blankets from me. What inspired me was my grandma who would pick someone random every year and send that year crocheting soemthing personal and beautiful for them. I want to be that one day. To make soemthing the family is so excited to get picked and receive. I love crocheting cause no matter how bad my health conditions get I can crochet without much energy being used up and feel accomplished in my creations. That last story is just so damn sweet for someone to learn a whole skill to bring such love and joy to their partner. That's such a pure honest love.
The Last Story is so sweet!
So many terrible people and stories in the world, I'm happy when a genuinely good hearted story pops up.
story 1: what the fuck? brother, RULE ONE of relationships and kinks are "ask before you do it." having [passionate hugging] with another woman without your significant other's permission is just flat out wrong.
Story #1 - Why is nobody else noticing the discrepancy about the girlfriend coming home early and unexpectedly due to her migraine, and the boyfriend's excuse of 'warming her up', when he could not have known she'd be home early?
And the fact she had a friggin migraine? A three way is the last thing on her mind but her reaction was golden especially in her condition
Exactly!!!! Came here to say this. How could he have surprised her when he didn't know she was coming home early
His excuse that he was "prepping" her is supposed to make OP think he was doing it before she normally got home as a surprise and that they'd be "ready" for when she did eventually get home.
Story 1: I don't know if this guy thinks OP' s self-esteem and self-worth is that low, or he's delusional beyond comprehension, or just plain stupid. Either way the fact somewhere in my brain so he could cheat on his girlfriend and tell her to be grateful for it, it's just beyond words other than, get his ass out of there now.
The thing is, let's just assume that he's telling the truth. He is not of course but just for fun, go with it. Even if true, this is such a terrible way to go about it, that alone is worth kicking his out for it. You do NOT do something like this without talking about it in depth ahead of time.
@@wingracer1614 Yup, communication and consent are the two primary rules of kink and sexual exploration.
Or desperate
Story 2: did OP's lawyer make the town government retract what they said about OP when the reporter interviewed people? Cause that could affect OP somehow in the future considering how they were practically calling OP a liar and whatever else they were gaslighting about
That's probably part of the apology letter.
Story 1: Apparently it was a surprise to the other girl, too. 😅
Honestly, the second story is the wildest Iowa story I've heard since I discovered it's where the ruling about boobytraps is from, lol
I need info. That sounds like a good story.
😂😂
I'll admit, I like the unexpectedly wholesome stories the best, they always bring a smile to my face
As someone currently knitting a blanket, the third story gives me so much joy.
The blanket one is my favorite. My husband loves doing surprises, however, super sucks at keeping it a secret from me. He'll say, "I got a surprise for you but I'm not saying what it is." Me: "ok" Him: "alright you dragged it out of me!" 😂
The last story was really wholesome... And inspirational too. Hand crafted blanked sounds like really nice gift.
*First Story:* “I won't insult your intelligence by suggesting that you really believe what you just said.” ― William F. Buckley Jr.
The last story was cute! As much as the drama is fun, we should get more wholesome stories like that 🥰
I want that... My marriage ended 3 weeks ago... I was with this person for 10 years... But we grew apart, there was no drama or wrongdoing, we just grew apart... I'm heartbroken but hopeful... I've heard somewhere that our true love is either the first or last. I mean to make it so it is the last in my case. I just got really anxious to have someone to surprise with a yarn blanket or to get such a surprise from... But alas, sometimes life is bitter so we savor it like coffee. If you reached this point thanks for reading my rant... You're one of the good ones!
Op i would have just said "yeah you did do me a favour by sleeping with another person, a big one considering the favor was breaking up with a disgusting cheater and gaslighter"
The blanket hubby is the kind of guy you’d want to spend your 50th anniversary with.
Oh no Rslash knows what fluffing is? 😂
He learned it a long while ago from a different video.
I love that word, it's why I like to say Mother Fluffer instead of the normal saying 😂
That last story is the type of husband I wanna be. Just doing cute little things here and there to show love and appreciation
Story 1:"I wanted to suprise you and fulfill your fantasy"?
BRO,WHAT IN THE WALUIGI HOUDINI FLIP?!?
The first story reminds me of a phrase I read recently: "But honey... you love being gaslit".
Story 1:
Being that he didn’t know OP was coming home yet, how long was he “fluffing,” the girl for her. I’ve heard some really BAD excuses for cheating, but I think he’s a record holder at this point.
That last story, restoring everyone's faith in humanity 😭
That last story was so wholesome it hurts
Yeah no, the boyfriend is a cheater and gaslighter if you’re going to try and do a 3 way sort of relationship there’s a lot of discussion that goes into it beforehand, not only that but it’s not something you just spring up like a “surprise!!!” sort of thing… plus both partners should be involved.
Story 2: Reminds me of a news story here in the UK of an abattoir that popped up next door to a family. The poor kids bedroom faced the place and they could hear EVERYTHING. It took them ages to sell up because no one wanted to live next door.
The last story made me cry😭😭 It's so thoughtful and sweet of op's husband, not only does he pay attention to her wants, he also took time to learn a new skill, choosing op's favourite color for the yarn and keeping it a secret from her all while still taking care of their children. Op is blessed to have someone who loves her like that. It's making ME jealous
I live the image of her getting the bag out with a polite "Excuse me". 🤣🤣😥
That last story is so sweet that I think it gave me a toothache. 😅
rSlash: Thank you so much for the last story! It is wonderful to have something so positive, so caring, so loving shared!
I legit started crying over the husband making a blanket! It's just so sweet, and after all the posts of people mistreating/cheating on their partners it's just wonderful to see!
Dude me too, I’m tearing up over it. It’s so damn cute
I've also heard the excuse of "i cheated because i love you but i have physical needs" a lot. Thinking that they can get their full elsewhere and everything would be fine
Last husband is heartmeltingly sweet and deserves all the best things)))))
that last story was just what we all needed to hear. what a great guy!
Story 3 is so cute!!! That hubby is such a sweet soul!
I cannot get over how incredibly wholesome that last story was. That story seriously made my night!
i was so prepared for story 3 to be sad, the 'i just had a baby and my husband is cheating on me' type thing, then she mentioned a bag from a craft store and I'm not crying.. its onion cutting ninjas.. her hubby is so sweet
The OP in the last story wrote the most ominous title for the most wholesome and adorable story
That last story warmed my heart! He’s a keeper. I love that he wants to do the blanket himself for his wife. ❤
After nearly freezing to death on my Hardcore world, I need something to make me better
Hardcore Minecraft or something else? Is it a modpack?
Better or butter?
@@DopeioThePhoneBoi Yah, hardcore MC lol
It's so refreshing to have a wholesome story amongst the not so wholesome ones. Thanks ☺
That last story was the auditory equivalent of watching baby animals snuggling, and I needed it bad!
First story: Imagine being so bad at lying and gaslighting that for cheating you come with the excuse that "you wanted to. I did you a favor by doing so". That dude just wanted to cheat and is trying in vain and in a stupid way to blame OP for that.
Are we absolutely certain that OP's BF (in Story 1) isn't _Handsome_ Jack..?
Ngl I was also fooled by the last story. I wasn't expecting such a wholesome surprise. Maybe that's saying something about me or the nature of most reddit stories but even Rslash was surprised.
That last story was delightfully wholesome. I enjoy those kind of stories, warms my heart.
Nah that’s the guilt in the first story. Had he been telling the truth, he wouldn’t have been immediately running off at the mouth and sputtering with excuses.
It is so nice to hear a wholesome story about a married couple, for once! I teared up over that last story!
OP 1 came home early, and he had no way to know she was coming home early. He wanted to eat his cake and passionately hug it too.
Last story about the blanket: That is so adorable! And even though the husband couldn't keep it a secret, it was a nice gesture to let OP choose the next color.
I'm working on a blanket myself for my mom for Mother's Day, and I have almost slipped up a couple of times about my knitting progress, but I will desperately try to keep my mouth shut. It is almost done, but I'll still have to wait like a month until I can actually give it to her. It won't be perfect, it has "character", but I hope she will like it 😂
This is the most wholesome "I know what my husband is up to" ever!! 🥰
Surprise Threesome: my father told me a story once where he was dating two girls at the same time, and one day he accidentally scheduled them both to show up at his house on the same day. out of desperation he tried "so I bet you're wondering why I've asked you both here..." he said one of them hesitated, and might have actually gone for it, but the other one was an instant "no", and that was the end of that.
I think the same thing is going on here, he was just trying to gaslight her in an attempt to save the situation.
*City Lawyer:* Stop saying bad stuff or we'll sue y- _[ACLU Lawyer walks up]_ Why do I hear boss music?"
I thought the husband was cheating too based off the title. "He doesn't know I know" Me: "Yep he's cheating". But no he's a great husband who's terrible at keeping secrets
Surprise!!! It’s a 3-wayyy!! We got started without you; hope you don’t mind.
I love the wholesome ending, I think it would be nice to have a wholesome story more often at the end of the videos! Some of these people are just too much sometimes, and a small cute story is always good to hear :)
That last story was so sweet!!! I loved it. I love your channel too!
I’m really liking the sweet stories! A little dose of dopamine for my morning
That last story is so cute. I wish that couple all the best
Story 3 is the cutest story I've ever heard on this channel 😭❤️❤️
That last story warmed my heart almost as much as eating a burrito with too much hot sauce
I used to work on a road crew. A guy was caught cheating, told his wife the side chick threatened to harm his wife if he didn't sleep with her and the wife bought it.
Last story: Who saw it coming that the OP's husband was making her a blanket? That was so sweet it hurt my teeth. Such a thoughtful husband.
That last story was so warm and fuzzy, just like the blanket!
I was so happy when the last story turned out to be about a husband doing something nice for his wife. Normally on reddit, if the spouse is talking about "me" time, it turns into something bad. Nice to have happy stories too.
Story1: I hope I never receive a surprise gift like this from my husband. The only worse gift than this is a surprise STD 😂😂😂
Wait a moment...
You consider Cheating and STD's to be the worst things a husband can do to his wife...
Have you never heard of Wife Beaters? Or Oscar Pistorius, Scott Peterson, Robert Blake? Or the average indian marriage?
If Murder, Rape and Assault aren't the Worst... You need to check your priorities!
Omg I recently started crocheting and making a whole ass blanket is QUITE the task, especially as a beginner fiber artist. Chucky yarn will work up quicker of course, because it's larger but that is still such a massive act of love from the husband
Story #2 : I was just listening to the story and heard that it happened in Iowa. I'm just sitting here thinking, "Cool, some drama in Iowa. I am curious about what part. Probably no where near me though." 12:32 "...in Sibley, Iowa..." Me : "WAIT WHAT! IN SIBLEY!"
Last story, I have never been so happy to be completetly wrong about how a story would go!
First story made me feel so sick, these cheating stories get me so angry and sad
story 1: if she had never gotten a migraine she would’ve never came out. how can it be a surprise 3 way if the third person isn’t there?
And didn’t agree. The guy is an idiot and now a homeless idiot.
Well, obviously because it wouldn't have been a surprise if he planned her to be there...
Last story sounds like her husband is still in the dating phase mindset where he wants to do anything possible to impress her. He is such a doll
If you can add a wholesome story once a week, it might give us some hope for humanity. What a wonderful, sweet husband!
Story 1: It is endlessly funny to imagine how there is like a 1 in a 1,000,000 chance he seriously meant all of it and didn't realize what was wrong. That situation is just so absurd, but I can easily imagine a dude somehow being too dumb to understand cheating as a concept, and being so unfamiliar with apologizing that he actually just didn't think to say sorry for making her upset.
It's probably closer to 2 in a Googol ( 10 to the power of 100; a 1 followed by one hundred zeros)
Because the other girl reacted exactly as someone not expecting a threesome as well.
That last story is exactly the pallette cleanser I needed.
For the final story I was just chanting “please be wholesome” after the vague title and I’m so glad I was right 😂
If anyone is curious what a rendering plant does- they make dog food and cat food. They collect dead cats and dogs from SPCAs and veterinarians. They collet roadkill, dead farm animals, dead zoo animals and rotten meat from stores. They then put all this "material" into a grinder and boil the ground meat down, then dehydrate it for Purina or Iams or many other cheap pet food.
It's literally Soilent Green for your dog or cat 😢
Story 1: You give an inch and they'll take a mile. I'm learning that the hard way now. I hope the best for OP
It’s funny because even if his story WAS true, which it’s obviously not, why would the girl act shocked and confused/cover herself up if that was the case. Wouldn’t she have done something like smile at her and encourage her to join?
My favorite subreddit on my birthday! Thanks RSlash!
That last story made me feel as warm and fuzzy as OP's new blanket.❤
Story 2: One of the stipulations should have been that they give another "in person" interview on the news discrediting the previous interview/claims the city made, with the apology letter being available to the news station so it could be (partially) read on-air. It would have killed them (city leaders) on the inside to have to admit to wrongdoing. Also, would have stipulated that the laws actually be enforced against the business instead of just letting them get away with it.
Okay the last story was the closest I have gotten to EVER thinking the story was about someone I was very close to! I made a chunky blanket for my nephew and my sister and BIL just have birth. This story was sooooo cute!!!!
