The truly sad part is, that he probably never loved or respected her from the beginning.
He claimed he did, but I doubt it. He probably just wanted to marry someone, and since she’s very religious and modest, he probably assumed she’d be more of a traditional wife.
Meanwhile op really trusted and loved him. Never demanded more of him than he was willing/able to give. Never asked him to be “more“. Like making more money or be “the man and provider“. She was happy with her life and marriage.
It’s so sad, that she deserves so much more and that it’s probably gonna be so hard for her to date now. Not just on an emotional level to trust again, but because she now really has some baggage. I mean, it literally took almost a year and a move across the country for the harassment by perverts to slowly die down. And who knows if it will ever go away fully? That’s likely to be a strain on most new relationships. And she really doesn’t deserve that.
Her disgusting ex however deserves everything horrible that’s coming his way! He’s truly the scum of the earth. And that he felt entitled for her to take him back is utterly delusional!

I feel terrible for OP in this post. She claims that she doesn't have to worry about an honour killing, but it seems that this is exactly what her waste of oxygen former husband was planning on doing. The anger and hatred that this man had for a woman who just wanted better things for herself and her family is both disgusting and terrifying. I am still afraid for her even though things ended in her favour.
OP's ex husband posted information on where to find her AFTER he was caught out for what he had done in retaliation. She's still got those creepy predators she's got to deal with. What's to say that one of those men isn't going to do the very thing that OP's husband wanted to do to begin with? This man intended to destroy OP all because she was better educated, had a better paying job that she loved to do, was well travelled, and seemed better than him... and all because he was jealous and angry.
Then to top it off, he tries to play the victim. I am glad that wherever OP is living that the legal system is fighting for women and women's rights. This could have ended tragically with OP being killed. If not in an honour killing (since OP says she doesn't have to worry about that given her country's laws and values), then by some maniac who found the video and personal information and decided to go on the attack.
This goes to show how fragile some men's egos really are. My heart breaks for OP and I hope she gets to rebuild her life and come back stronger than ever.

That's definitely a tactic abusers use. They'll try to guilt you for being successful in any way because it makes them feel bad about themselves in comparison. But instead of taking responsibility and getting help to manage their own feelings, they try to blame and hurt others in retaliation. In this case, it rose to nuclear levels. That was wild...
But how the hell was that guy not in jail sooner? And allowed to contact her? It sounds bad, but when he said she was lucky he wasn't "stalking her", that was the truth.
