Of course Chad cheated on her. There's a reason why people say "once a cheater, always a cheater".
An old saying goes.... "One who cheats with you will cheat on you!" 😮
As well as “cheaters deserve each other”
There's also "cheaters always have each others' backs".
Every single time I saw someone defend a cheater in a story, it turned out they were cheaters too.
I'm extremely against cheating. However, I am a firm believer in "love the sinner, hate the sin." While they likely won't change, I always hope they will. That said, I can hope for change, forgive them, and still protect myself by removing myself from the toxic relationship.
Also he is a cop. Cops are not good people
This story is an incredibly good example of the impact we can have on others in advertently. OP literally saved 2-3 kids from growing up in an abusive situation with 1 comment.
Yea it's pretty crazy
I noticed that. Good on OP, they came just short of adopting those kids themself. Ofc, I'm a "fixer" as a person, so my views are skewed toward direct action, but I still support what OP did.
Yeah, and though she cussed OP out, she did end up going to therapy. At least OPs comments about mental health stuck in the back of her head.
"This will be my last update."
"Then OP posted another update."
That's how it always is... we all think it's going to end there, then life says "NO."
Definitely a case of "I definitely wasn't planning to... and then she gave me a reason to."
Famous last words
I love how you can hear r/slightly giggling as he is reading it.
And again and again
That one “do it for Dan” story you did an entire video on has a couple more updates
do you know what happened?
@@chriscarpenter3370the sister in law was cheating and Dan is no longer a human question mark I’d say he’s a troglodyte now
@chriscarpenter3370 tldr is that they didn't get to move in. They tried, lied to a moving company, broke in, before OP called the cops and kicked em put. SIL threw a temper tantrum
@@lenat7397yeah Rslash’s pt 2 video is over a year old. If I remember right, he read up to OP talking to his brother and I think dad (maybe also mom) in public.
Im a bit tired of that story and doing another video on it would be a bit boring imo
So, yes, it was crazy. But it was also kinda sweet that OP was able to reach her and help her make better choices. Instead of resenting and traumatizing her kids, she gave them to people who will love them and care for them. She sought out therapy. She's making strides. That's pretty cool. Still insane, but cool.
I agree. The kids are now in much better and safer places, which is the most important part of this story.
But Beth is doing such a good job (so far) to better herself and her life. Therapy is one huuuge step considering her stance on it. She reconnected with her sister, acknowledged past abuse, and how parenting isn't for her. She realised how growing up in a very messed up religious family influenced her opinion on children and parenting, how it's not for her, and it's okay to give up parenting rights (the proper, safe and legal way)
I hope she can one day live a happy and fulfilling life, reflecting on her behaviour and how to make sure it doesn't happen again.
she's still scum tho. Neglecting her own child and constantly using slurs against everyone who doesn't mindlessly support her.
She had a rough life, but so what? cool motive, still shit behavior and actions.
Yes, and Beth is still a very young woman. Plenty of time to build a positive and fulfilling life.
Hopefully the kids will be ok
One could argue that she's still passing the buck to other people but at least she's recognizing actual problems in her life instead of lashing out at friends trying to help her. It's good first step, I hope she takes the therapy seriously. She's got her whole life ahead of her and her kids seem to have better homes.
I have my degree in Criminal Justice and in my Police Administration class, we talked about the likelihood of cheating and also the high Domestic Violence rates among cops.
It happened to a sister of mine. Even if they are the most nice person before becoming a cop (he grew up in a police family) it goes to their head, a cop called it “John Wayne Syndrome”, to note how common it was.
@@michaeltelson9798what exactly gets to their head? Just having power over others as an officer makes you want to have sex with people you meet? I didn’t realize paperwork was so…intimate
There's an article about a survey taken amongst law enforcement officers & they self-report & 40% of them admitted to doing DV to their partners or spouse
I have a question regarding those discussions and/or statistics: Are they counting all cases? Or all unique offenders? Because if it's the former then the numbers won't give a full picture.
Like Chad cheated twice in this story alone, first with the girl, then on the girl, if he keeps this up he'll end up cheating another 5~6 times. Which would skew the data a lot if you don't count them as 1 cheating cop, rather then 3+ times of a cop cheating.
@@SkyEcho751 That is honestly a good question.
This is literally watching a snowball going down a mountain get from the size of a tennis ball to the size of a skyscraper and proceeds to wipe out a small village.
Spot on description 🤔😋
Completely accurate, and also humorous to think of it attached to the Katamari Damacy theme.
I haven't watched yet, so I don't even know if your description is accurate yet but I love it so much I'm going to assume it is.
@@renanouveau6176I was just thinking about that game, because somebody else was talking about an RSlash story that I listened to while playing it 😳

@@danielbrant6740 I was going to say Alberta, but Saskatchewan is definitely a possibility
That Sims comment is real. I have a Sim named Thad Brodicus, and he is a father of... last count was 27 children with atleast 15 different women.
Yea, first responders especially firefighters due to the fact that they are at the station house 3 to 4 days a week giving them plenty of opportunity. When I was young I worked at a video store, one of the girls was the really attractive 18 yo, and whenever the firefighters would come in they would all hit on her and ask her out, and she would be all flattered and turn to goo. Until the day I was laughing at it when they showed up and I told her to pay attention to their hands. "They all had weddings rings..." she said in disbelief.
Oh, shit. I was not expecting, at 18:04, for Beth to actually do something beneficial for one of her kids by warning the cousin about Chad trying to get Baby C back 😶 maybe there's some minute hope for Beth after all. Its an incredibly small and slim hope but we all can hope (or just hope to NEVER run into these nutters)
I mean, she's finally seeking therapy. She's making the right moves, now it's just a matter of sticking to it.
I think there is hope for Beth but she has been awful person. Hopefully she'll take this time to get help and actually grow as a person. I don't think she's beyond help but if she continues the way she has been, then she will be.
She wasn't warning the cousin about Chad to help the kids, she was doing it to help herself. It just happened to also benefit one of her kids in the process.
Man. OP really crashed this womans world with one single sentence.
I love armor piercing questions and "Do you even like your kids?" was a heck of a good one here.
Given how her family and everyone else around her seems to regard women and having kids, it doesn't surprise me that she's not really thought about it before.

I never figure out the "morality" mindset of these people... It's all for show, isn't?
Literally, yes, it is all for show. They need all the external validation they can get, and if that means saying one thing while secretly doing another, they don’t think twice about it. And there’s no bigger source of external validation than the big man upstairs. Or rather, what other people think the big man upstairs thinks of you.
It's validation if they learn from it, delusion of they don't. Both of them are super delusional.
The straights are not or have ever been ok
First story: Jeez, the moment she called her baby the c-word, you know she is already a lost cause. Not that she wasn't before that, but wow, calling your own child the c-word for crying is just insane. Honestly, this whole story is just insane to begin with.
I feel like Cun* is not that bad, I’m pretty sure there is worse things to call it.
( e.g ethnic slurs)
she’s not a lost cause though, she was a CHILD trying her best. if you listened to the full story, she’s trying to turn her life around. that doesn’t excuse any of her past behavior, but we shouldn’t go around saying “lost cause!!!” to a 23-year-old who still has a lot of life to live.

Beth seems so mentally unwell; I would totally believe that she dumped her kids on the side of the road.

“Their dad thinks ‘competition brings out the best in people’”
Funny, I’ve often cited the exact opposite as the reason I won’t work for commission: competition brings out the worst in people.
My first job was at a car dealership, but not in the sales department. I listened to all the shit the salespeople were saying behind the scenes about their deals, their customers, each other… fuck that noise. I want to be able to rely on my team.
competition brings out the best in people as long as it is for fun competition.
But when failing the competition, or not even being in the top 20 %, means basically having little to no livelihood and won't earn anything, of course people are gonna stay playing dirty to get on top.
I agree. I once worked as a hostess in a big department store behind the desk. It was huge, so they needed 3-4 girls / shift. The things some girls would say & do to get on top was shocking ( rumors, lies, and worse ). I loved the job, but it was so toxic ( think Mean Girls irl ), I had to quit for my own good.
@@catherinevaz6139 I can’t stand that kind of thing.

I’ll support friendly competition where we win bragging rights against each other, because I do think that’s good motivation. But money brings the snakes out of hiding.
@@miniman649 you’re totally right about that; friendly/not super serious competition is definitely good at driving people. But once you add in any type of wealth or power, the snakes really come out. For many, it is about survival, and that’s completely understandable, just not what I’m about.

How can a dispatcher be such a trainwrecker?
I'm weirded out that they let people just out of high school become dispatchers. In my country, it's a job for seasoned emergency system workers. You have to manage an emergency without being on site, this calls for somebody who has seen it all.

My freaking goodness. I know a womam who acts like this. She can't keep a boyfriend for any time longer than a month. She currently has 4 kids with 4 different fathers. There's rumors that she's already pregnant with her 5th child with yet another guy. The worst part is that she has dumped each child with their biological father and haven't seen some of them for years. She loves to party and sleep around with men. I know there's many sayings about cheating/cheaters, but I like the one my dad used to say. Something along the lines of "When the mistress is promoted to wife, it leaves the position of 'mistress' open to be filled". Basically the way you'd speak of somebody getting promoted at their job, but now their old position has to be filled.

Ex-Police Dispatcher here. Can confirm cheating/stalking is rampant. (I did not partake, but got to witness and hear about it since dispatchers/911 operators cluck like hens and gossip constantly). Here's some super summarized stories from my old dept.
Story 1) Married officer starts dating one of the dispatchers. Things were getting serious between them until we get new officer hires. Original officer gets with new officer, gets new officer pregnant, then marries the new officer after getting divorced. (I think the new officer was also in a committed relationship before all this)
Story 2) One of the dispatchers was basically stalking one of the officers. They both were originally working at another department and were seeing each other (and yup, he was cheating on his wife with the dispatcher). Eventually the officer wanted to call it off, but the dispatcher didn't want to. She continued to change shifts to align with his shift changes and trying to keep in contact with him. Eventually he moved departments (my old department) and she FOLLOWED him to the same department. They still work there. (Clarification - moving departments means moving to different police departments, not internally to a different section of the building... so she literally had to move to still be near/work with this guy)
Side notes) whenever we git new hires in dispatch (primarily women) officers would come up to introduce themselves... which was more like scoping out the ladies. Very awkward. Also people who weren't married to a sworn officer got passed up for promotions or moves around the department.
Worked there for 8 years... this stuff was one of the multitude of reasons I left. Glad to be free.
Genuine Question: why do people say “first story” if there’s only one?
They comment before the end.
Yo, what a surprise that the homewrecker isn't a good person
This is sadly a common sequence of events for many people. Ignorance of how things work leads to poor choices, which I leads to poor outcomes. At least the children ended up with people who care.
This story is really similar to another story called
"AITA for telling my friend that he deserved to have his GF cheat on him and then get his ass beat by her affair partner?"
Basically, Op's friend is a cuck. He catches his GF (a serial cheater) with another dude. Said dude beats up Op's friend and he wants to get revenge with his friends, but Op and everyone else refuse. To cut a really long story short, his GF (now wife) gets pregnant with the affair partner's baby, the guy doesn't want anything to do with the kid so Op's former friend decides to take care of the baby. Before that they had a semi-open relationship (the GF can cheat but Op's friend can't). After all that Op cuts contact with him because he became an a**hole who bad mouths everyone who dares to disrespect his "Queen" as well as get into alot of fights, which made him lose any empathy and burn any bridge that he might had.
Beth’s whole character arc is wild 😭
Dear god, the entire story was just an uncomfortable but interesting rollercoaster... and the fact it was on a public social media account too...
Oh dear God it's the entire video.
This oughta be good.
Edit: Can confirm, this was fucking insane.
It _is_ good.
No sympathy for Beth despite knowing her struggles when she was younger, she just kept making horrible decision upon horrible decision, resented her children and was neglecting them. I am however glad she’s getting help, gave her children up to people who can better care for them, is getting therapy and trying to put her life back together. Beth deserves a second chance at life and I just hope she remembers all the choices she made and to never repeat them.
Good on OP for staying clear of that stupid drama. 👍
That "Wedding dress" is a "Party Ho" dress. 😮
I was glad Baby A had Adam but I was so worried about babies B and C. The fact that they were adopted by someone who really wanted to adopt makes this a happy story
It seems to me that Beth and her sister's relationship is going to be, at best, "weddings, christenings, funerals, Christmas cards", and I hope that's the worst it'll be. They don't like each other, but they've at least had dialogue and have come to a consensus on the common problem.
Beth desperately needs a solid support network, but she seems to be addicted to bridge burning. I do feel a bit sorry for her, but she's been the author of her own demise.

I know a girl that did this. She really seems to have a fetish for policeman and became one herself. Fortunately it seems to have worked out. I haven't seen her in years but still see her feed on FB. Seems she finally married one of the cops and they have been together for 5 or 6 years now..
@@wingracer1614 Hey. Long as the relationship's healthy and they're not sleeping around after the fact..
The comment about not dating first responders is accurate for the most part. I dated a firefighter/EMT and he was constantly pushing for a harem/poly relationship(I’m bi and he said I could only be with other women.) He announced to me he had a TikTok gf, didn’t talk to me about it, and he would go visit girl “friends” late at night. So I think he was clearly cheating. We broke up, had a myriad of issues. He hasn’t been in my life for years now. But I try to stay away from first responders, that and anyone in marketing. Marketing firms are also notorious for sleeping around together.
