You did not say anything about the LVDS latch when removing the cable, so when I pulled it out of there, it was really hard and the latch came with it. Now that I'm putting it back in, I'm not sure what to do to re-attach the latch
My wifi cable was almost impossible to re-attach - absolutely did not want to go in due to those little tabs on the side interfering with how it locks in on one side. I finally got it to go in, but in the process, my screwdriver slipped and I totally sheared my speaker cable. Now what? What do I need to replace in order to get a speaker cable back?
cool i have a cuestion, i need that spare part for my mac, maybe they have it in their store.?
Show! Top! Excellent!

Is it possible to swap the airport card with one from the 2012 MBP that has Bluetooth 4.0? (Or any of the "newer" MBPs that have either BT 4.2 or 5.0?)
I came to this video to ask this same question.
hello I'm opening up MacBook Pro2009 13" and try to remove antenna cover (black long one apart with display panel) and it seems stuck inside, cant remove at all, what do you think? this is mac book is i bought bland new, no repair history whatsoever. the cover seems slightly move as i wiggle it so it seems not glued, and i can see cover have slight crack if i try to pry off with minus screw driver. what do you think?
thank you so much.
Yes you can pry it off. If should be tight in there and you will need to use lots of force to pop it out. Don't be afraid to break it, never saw one break and also if it's already cracked you need a new one any way here is a link to our store store.appledollars.com/collections/macbook-pro-13-2012-a1278/products/new-hinge-clutch-cover-for-macbook-pro-unibody-a1278-13-inch
If the bluetooth isn't working on my MBP should I replace the airport card?
Did you try to replace the airport card?, did the bluetooth get fixed? cheers
..thanks^^
My macbook pro 13” mid 2010 got macos high sierra installed, everything was working accordingly. Then the next day there was a software update where I updated the macbook pro and once it’s finished i left it on the charge overnight. The next morning when I was about to use it i noticed the wifi had a “x” and said wifi: no hardware installed. So i searched online and it suggested smc & nvram reset and I did them all multiple times to no avail, even deleting system configuration plists in Preferences and even clean install the macos but now wifi isnt detected at all. I even disassembled the wifi card thinking it could just be the loose connector, but still, no wifi detected. Wont even give me an option to choose wifi when reinstalling the macos. Do you think it’s a clear sign that the wifi card needs replacement or could it be cables? Or would a usb wifi dongle do a decent job replacing the wifi connection as it costs a lot cheaper? What are your suggestions?
Hello! Having the same problem... have you solved it yet? If so, could you explain?
@@MarianoVidor hi mate, ended up buying a dual band wifi usb adapter(about $10). It’s tiny enough to just stay in the usb slot, and works really well. :-)
