Remove bottom case (recurring for all videos)
1. Replace Battery P/N: A1280
2. Replace/Upgrade Random Access Memory (RAM) P/N: PC3-8500 1GB, 2GB, 4GB (Workaround: Any 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM as long as 1 old module is left in one of the banks)
3. Replace Hard Disk Drive P/N: Any compatible SATA Drive
4. Replace DVD Super Drive P/N: 678-0590A or comparable
5. Replace Trackpad P/N: 922-9014
6. Replace Screen Assembly P/N: 661-4820
7. Replace WiFi AirPort Card P/N: 661-4766 607-4144
8. Replace Fan P/N: 922-8620, 661-5418, 661-9530, 922-9530, 661-4946
9. Replace Logic Board P/N: 661-5101, 661-4818, 661-4819
10. Replace CPU Heat Sink P/N: 661-4945
11. Replace Speakers P/N: 922-8618, 922-8617
12. Replace Microphone P/N: 922-8619
13. Replace Power Connector/DC-in-Board P/N: 661-4947
14. Replace Keyboard/Backlight P/N: Any A1278 Keyboard
Reinstall bottom case (recurring for all videos)

IF you get the vertical black bar on the LCD screen
Your LVDS cable is BAD!
Your SCREEN IS PROBABLY FINE!
The LVDS cable has shorted where it bends around corners..
Replacements are hard to find..
2009 MBP LVDS cables do not fit!
Has to be the Late 2008 cable!
SOME "repair" advice is geared to having you RUIN your screen!
CRACKING the cover glass or LCD....!!!
THEN they want to sell you replacements!
NOT fixing the LVDS problem.
A cottage industry, both here and on eBay..
BEWARE!

thanks a million ... my fix was actually just disconnecting and reconnecting the plugs for the card ...

Let me start by thanking you for the free help you are putting in, a question now. My 2008 macbook pro unibody high siera doenst detect wifi Bluetooth and camera, do you also suspect that it might be faulty cable since all the three are not detected.Appriciate your response brother.
