    I tried to do this and the right speaker would not come out. Put the wifi cable back on and the wifi does not work now. Says wifi hardware not installed.

    Great video. The background noise (incessant “music”? and buzzing) is remarkably annoying.

    with such delicate and tiny parts, fixing broken parts is almost out of the question as far as re-soldering goes. When you pop out all these cables, you never say whether your'e just popping them straight out , sliding them out of socket,and when to be careful, and usually when your'e filming that part, all we see is your hand---number 2 down... sorry

      Yeah, good point. On my mid-2009, I snapped off that speaker connector and now I think I'm screwed... not sure how to replace that piece of plastic.

      @@mitchlove7714 Ultimately, I just used headphones for a couple of months and then upgraded the laptop. If you find someone qualified to do it, though -- resoldering that connection is a fairly simple repair.

    Hello. My computer sounds good left and right but I think the subwoofer is damaged because there's no bass sound. Is this possible?

    • @GRIBSOFT
      @GRIBSOFT  Před 7 lety +1

      Yes the sub-woofer is part of the right speaker system and is located under the DVD drive as seen at 2:15.

    Hello. My computer sounds good left and right but I think the subwoofer is damaged because there's no bass sound. Is it possible to change only the right one without touching the left one? thanks

    • @GRIBSOFT
      @GRIBSOFT  Před 5 lety +1

      Yes, but the right one is the more difficult one under the logic board.

      Save Apple Dollars my damaged part is the diver near the cd-rom reader, i only ordered that piece. the part near the motherboard is ok. you say that the part that is the first in the video is more difficult to replace?

    • @GRIBSOFT
      @GRIBSOFT  Před 5 lety +1

      I think I had my directions upside down lol. The one you are having the issue with, the one under the optical drive is easy to replace. You will not need to take out the logic board, so you're lucky ;)

    Hi, I have a problem, the so called “WTB connector” where you plug in the speaker has just fallen of the motherboard while i was trying to replace the speaker. I have no idea on how to put it back in place. It seems like it was not soddered at all. If anyone has any idea, please tell me. Thanks.

      Actually there are TEN. But he’s referring to the seven short ones, then the three long ones separately. Your thought (same as mine) is that you can’t tell the length of the screw by the external part of the head. Yes, video should simply have said removed the ten screws. The important part is that this is an excellent video.
