“I’m just gonna keep at it!” That’s why we love your vids, Migs, it’s your never say die attitude. You even inspire your buddies to help.
Great job! Remember to adjust the valves or the car won’t start!
In case you cannot get it started, one thing to check is that the distributor gear is not out by 180 degrees. It's easy to make that mistake. I did and had me perplexed for a while.
Young man ,you did a fine job doing that little project, I hope it runs awesome for you.. you need to get a oil gauge in there that you can see and read ,so you don't hurt anything else down the road .I hope it runs like a new one so all the haters that said crazy shit can kiss a big one...
Most likely an ignition issue, its easy to time these motors so I doubt you did that wrong, but if you do need to pull the motor back out for any reason; just pull the trans out with it, trust me its 10 times easier fitting it back in then trying to connect the two under the car. Do a basic check, spin the engine over to TDC and make sure the distributor rotor is in line with the correct spark plug wire on the distributor cap
Valve szdustment may help. Great job
awesome video Migs!! I love your MGB. It’s a great car I’m a big fan of British cars myself. Well when you get that thing out on the road, you should join a British Car Club.
Loving the series I can’t wait for the first drive
This video shows why its best to pull the trans with the motor...
It'll never run right without that center manifold stud in place. You'll get a vacuum leak & the manifold gasket will burn out. 🤦♂️
Floods before even hearing it for the first time after a rebuild lolll
You should get an electronic ratchet it would make putting those bolts on way faster
You can patch the radiator
Did you replace the broken intake stud ? A leak there could stop it from starting.
Nice carburetor
Nice dude
No way we have to wait again
Another excellent video Migs! Great work! Sounds like the ignition timing is off. Also that carburetor may require some fine tuning. You got this!
Thanks! I’ll be looking into both of those!
Does carb working well or most better very link our very low of presure of fuel
Had to take the engine and transmission outta my mg several times! It was simple
Can we have a nascar update and possibly load it on the trailer and rip it around
Good shit bro, can we have an update on the paint???
I got the same carb Weber 38/38 on a race car
What low presure fuel pump do you use and meny PSI do put one it
I didn't see you put a pilot bearing in the new cranck ????
looks like he's half assing it
When I bought the crank, the shop I got it from installed one already 👍🏻
Hey, do you still have the half scale nascar?
Noice
The seal was installed before the played was put on????? Uhhhhh that's a little diffrent
Firing order is 1342
Dizzy timing 180 degrees out!
Are you from Knoxville? I seen the Knoxville shirt
pilot bearing, pilot bearing, pilot bearing. i did not see a new pilot bearing installed. all standard transmissions need a pilot bearing.
looks like he's half assing it
The shop I bought the crank from had put a new bearing into it when I purchased it 👍🏻
About timeeeeeee
If it’s a four cilinder why is there only 3 exhaust outlets
The center cylinders share an exhaust runner, there are a bunch of other engines that are that way, flathead ford v8s do that as well.
@@briang4470 thanks, didn’t know that
Im 326
Why didn’t you paint the motor while it was out?
Migs u gettin thicc boi 🤣💪🏽
🤣🤣🤣
@@motomigsofficial hey bud ,if you didn't get it running yet try going back over the timing and make sure it's not off ... Try Putting it on number 1 compression and pull cap off and see if rotor button is facing the right way...also if I was you, I would take them original carbs to someone and let them restore them to new so you can keep car all original.... plus it will run better with original carbs ....your doing a fine job bud, keep up the learning..👍👍
U will end up drilling out then jets or she gona pop and run rough if she got any kinda cam in her I got a 1980 mgb with a cam and I drilled mine out 3 size bigger was only way to fix mine other than that love webber got 4k miles on her remember ever 25k check them valves if not u ruined ur engine love them cars tho built mine wen I was young can't go wrong
