- Hey Guys, Migs Here! In today’s video, we take the 1974 MGB out for it’s first ever drive since I’ve owned it, and since we have completely rebuilt the engine from the ground up ourselves! It’s been a long road coming to this moment, but the outcome was something to be proud of! Thanks for Watching! Please Subscribe, Like, Comment and Tell Your Friends About the Channel!

Now that it’s running and driving I’d go ahead and wash, wax, and ceramic coat that paint! Freshen her up 😎
And give the interior a good clean and condition the leather and make it look showroom once more! Keep up the great work!
No smoke from the front or rear, No leaks! Great job Migs! Once you get that thing tuned up for the low temps you'll be all set! Just wait until you and your lady hit the road with the top down! Nothing like it!
U should use it as it dayly when all sorted
MG's shine on country roads. Go find one and double your smile. Nice job.
Grab 2 Gatorade bottles attach them to a board put a line from bottle to bottle and a line from each bottle to each carb vacume port. Fill both bottles half way and adjust carbs until lvl is even in both bottles
Let’s gooooooo nice job!
Excellent work.
Maybe try not shifting so conservatively. Some of these old cars like to rev out a little bit. Try shifting later and it will probably not choke up so much.
Can you give an update on when you are going to start painting the entire vette?
Wait you want him to let you know when he is planning on painting it? So instead of just watching the video when he puts it out you want to know ahead of time when you can expect the video of him painting his car. That seems a little weird I mean I can understand asking him when are you putting out the video of you painting the Corvette but it's strange to be asking him when is he planning on painting the Corvette only thing you get to see is the video so who cares when he's planning on painting it you want to know when the videos coming out
@@infesting I’m not going to read your whole comment but he’s going to make a video about painting the vette, so I just asked when he was planning on it. I have already watched all of the other vids on him painting the T-tops, however that’s clearly not the whole car. I’m just asking a simple question lol, it’s not that deep
Great job! I admire your persistence! Welcome to the world of MGs. Happy Motoring!!!!
You are doing such a great job on this car! Take that carb off, rebuild those SU carbs and she will run great! As other people mentioned, check vacuum advance on distributor.
Hey the reason your rotor cap is not working is because it’s a MSD. Everyone says their hit or miss now a days and your better off buying from NGK or Taylor. The guy that told me about this issue had a Chevy 305 and he said it sputters and sometimes died out of nowhere
Great job Migs good to get the MG out.keep up the good works. All the best to you all
That is so awesome and I’m so much more proud of you now my Friend !!!!
It’s looking sweet man. Keep it up.
Grate first drive 🚗 sounds meaty 👍
Congrats on the engine build.
Strong work!!! Keep it up! Can’t wait to see you rip that MG!!
Sounds great
Keep it!
Check your vacuum advance diaphragm on the distributor to make sure it holds vac and advances the timing.
Nice car man 🤘🔥
The exhaust hanger needs to be loose. As the motor and transmission torque up it will add stress to exhaust at header or manifold. Put a nyloc nut on it just not tight! Good job on getting it going.
🤠 hell yea brother
Hell yea brother
Cause there must be moisture in the cap itself...
U should definitely clean up the wiring lol I see it everytime hahahahaha
👍
I love how when that mg idols it sounds like a rotary 🤣🤣
So true, even a rotory with a bridge port.
I miss the naskart😭
Its about time he buys a square body
Lets go first like lol
What happened to the firetruck project
Who's that holding the camera
😎😅👌🤙👍
Don't lug your fresh motor. Do a break in series. Bogging? Try richer jetting.
Can we have a toy tour with the cars dirt bikes quads trucks trailers etc

The MG makes the Vette look like garbage
On a side note, a lot of parts today are total junk. The original stuff works best and is much better quality! Not everything but you'll be amazed at what's out there, be careful.
That carb setup is your issue. Go original
Just buy a new hanger, they are cheap. I have a 67 MGB
In "74" they put a bunch of emission control crap on the car & lowered the HP to meet American specs. Did you remove that useless shit ?
