Get a wideband 02 sensor so you can see your air fuel ratio.
Set timing to 35-36 degrees total and re gap spark plugs to .035-.040. then if issues continue try to run with tach unhooked, sometimes they can short out and cause misfires, then if issues still persist try another known good distributor and if issues still persist it's most likely a carb tuning issue.
Good ass shifting man
Time for a LS swap
What it needs to ever run right is a LS

Migs once the starter motor is lugging that when you know the timing is to far ahead go till that point then back it off a little richer so off the take it doesn’t bog out could be to lean
Nice job getting some shake down passes under your belt. remove a few spark plugs and "read" them. Do they look black (rich) or gray (lean)? It sounds sluggish at low RPM, could be loading up. Check float levels if plugs look black. Your total distributor advance should be around 36 degrees at 2500-3000. HEI's have limiter bushings in them that might be giving you too low total advance. Also, HEI coils can get weak - no Chinese coils please, stick with Accel or Mallory. Keep at it!
That Yankees hat is slowing you down. 😂
I don’t know if you have been posting recently but I haven’t gotten one notification except for this one. Sounds like you have been posting. Bummer if I have missed any
Jetting in carb and fuel pump can't keep up with delivery so carb is short on fuel.... ? You will work it out as you always do...love your channel from the start..keep it going....
Waiting for this video 📸
LETS GO!! Shes ready. Also are you ever going to do more to the NASKART or the 91 Camaro. Just wondering! Thanks
Sup!❤
Buy a remanufactuerd 350 motor and put the new stuff on it!!! And you would be done with it!!!
Maybe buy the 350 motor from auto zone!!!
only thing i would do now other than paint is put a stock set of vaccum headlights in. other than that its nice
just start over and do a complete revamp of the electrical system. coil wires plugs distributor.
Mayby the distributior have ha 10 degree bushing or did it advance more then 10 degrees before ? Good video im gonna keep watching your corvette videos 👍
Change the spring for more tight spring of the rotor of the ignicion
Because the ignicion whith the standard spring is getting more foward more 30 or 40 dregress when you press the gas pedal because your ignicion have incide a centrifugal clutch rotor for change the degress ignicion timing when you acelerate our press the gas and put RPM that type of ignicion who have your car made this problems more if you have modifications
Desarm your ignicion and change for tight whit out of move the centrifugal center clutch
I do this in my race car and works
When i whant put less or more timing degress on the ignicion are real grades by move the ignicion manualy (and you gona have a real ignicion timing in your engine all the time) or if you have a racing variable cam gear the car gona have better preformance by the time to
One other thing it could be is you spark plugs are too cold
did someone convert your rear glass to a late years?
You don't need an LS to go fast... Haven't watched for a while... I don't know what your motor set up is... It doesn't sound like no 12's car... I'll give it 13's if you get it tuned right... Something don't sound right... I can't make it out over youtube... It's definitely breaking up... Maybe fuel... What cam are you running?
For comparison... Back in my day I ran 13s in 74 Camaro... I had 350, Crappy 882 heads, 750 holly stock dual plane intake, 270/470 comp cam, HEI Ignition... A set of full tube, 373, Rear gear... And a 350 turbo automatic transmission... I needed a converter... It would have helped get my 60' down for sure... No power off the line the plenty of top. You shouldn't have that issue being a stick...
Accelerator pump!!!
May need to adjust timing more cause it took way too long to crank on the cold start. May need to do a little more adjustments to the carb as well.
Besides that? Good video and good to have you back.
Sounds like you might need tune the carburetor a little bit more
Great to see you sorta back brian, check your specs your vett is a 1980 not a 1974. they didnt build a fastback glass window vett till late 79 to 80, check the vin numbers the dash looks to be 1980 also..the video was made months ago so you prob. figured out that the 2nd areys on carb are opening too soon thats the bogg you have.,.or dead spot.. on take off.. enjoy watching .. get some current stuff.. do some smoky burnouts with dads old ford..
his name is brian?
actually the first year for that back window was 1978...
2nd areys? Are you trying to be clever or funny or do you actually not know how to spell secondary?
You need to adjust your carb, it sounds likethe float are out and dumping too much fuel into the motor.
Great video if you want more power try using a efi setup instead of a carburetor.
😄🫡
Replace the balancer. Bet it has slipped on the rubber
You should Ls swap
15 seconds is terrible my friends saab 1.9 ttid does 14s hopefully you get her dialed
Where sound go? 😢
Sorry to break it to you... But that ain't a '74 dude...
Had a 76 stingray with a 383 stroker that would run like a spotted ass ape!!
how about some safety harnesses or a seat belt lmfao
