But since you seem to be in the mood to be pedantic, the real problem with Trevor's joke is that the "Objects in mirror..." message only appears on the passenger side mirror, not the driver's side. The passenger side mirror has curvature in order to give you a wider field of view, whereas the driver's side mirror is flat AFAIK, therefore it doesn't (de)magnify things.

Trevor Noah said nothing bad against cops, he just showed the type of reaction you have as a black person when you get pulled over. This is talking about the relationship between cops and Black people, it isn't trying to say that cops treat black people badly all the time or that there shouldn't be any cops/regulations.
I know he plays it off as comedic, but Trevor having a breakdown at a traffic stop because thought the cop was going to kill him for being black is heartbreaking.

If it’s not enough that the police in Minneapolis are being disbanded and defunded why are we so happy about this tiny victory in a huge war. If we keep celebrating tiny adjustments that the government has made we’ll fool ourselves into thinking that a minor accomplishment is enough. We will begin to think they are trying their hardest for granting people of color rights that all humans should have. We need to do better as a community, we need to push harder for the laws to change, for equality, and we need to stop being satisfied with the bits of progress we are making.

Daniel Laing actually look it up. Look up every single case of an unarmed man being shot to death for NO REASON, and come back and tell that to me with a straight face. My personal favorite is the guy who was killed in his OWN BACKYARD. No gun, no hostage, no nothing. It takes one click to see that the number of unjust killings is too many to count on only 2 hands. All those videos u see about police abuse and unfair shootings make up less than 1% of the police force in the U. S. and yet it’s what police are defined by now. He has this really unsettling way of walking the perfect line between horror and humor. @@davidkelly4210 I think as a result of the turmoil of the 60's and the counter culture responsible for the resignation of a sitting president, those who really run this government decided they'd had enough of that and wouldn't make the mistake of allowing an uncontrolled counter culture ever again... Nixon started the new police state by putting all medical services /hospitals on a for profit basis and then started the war on drugs... Reagan attacking and depleting the Social security system and devastating the unions was a major blow and the result is that we now have a for profit government that services big corporations and has thrown it's citizens under the bus... now with comply or die police politics we are pretty much enslaved... yes lots of other little laws and legislations but those were the big ones... now our government servants are our masters and we have to pay them handsomely for the privilege of impoverishing us and killing us is we object.... the homeless crisis is direct evidence of the success of corporate government.... If you can't buy, they want you dead.. anyone who thinks the republicans are the only villains in this is insane... both parties are in the filth up to their deceitful necks but they are also swimming in our money from our labor and we the people are getting poorer and weaker everyday now...
