- Autumn is definitely in the air , but has it arrived at the allotment?
There's still plenty growing in my borders and I'm hoping to keep my allotment cropping much further into the year and even into next year.

6:07 Your nasturtisums are so pretty! I just love how you intermix flower into all of your beds! Your garden just makes me happy to look at! I hope you are having a wonderful day today! -Cara😀
Thanks Cara! Most of the flowers just seem to find their own way into my allotment but that “cottage garden” look is one i really love.
@@fionagrows1848 I really love that look too 😍
식물이 정말 싱싱해요, 꽃과도 어울리는 밭이에요 Plants and flowers have been cultivated to match 🙂
Thanks for watching!😊
Hi Fiona we think you done fantastic this year some lovely crops , and few pleasant surprises, you should be very proud of how you have done . Keep safe Bill and val
I hope you’ve been getting some of the rain. It’s rained like billy-o all night again. I feel like the gardens are giving a big sigh of relief!
Wow,the garden looks very alive after a few days of rain specially the chards, cabbage and the kale🤗🌱🌱🌱💚💚💚
We’ve had more or less constant rain for the last 24 hours. It’s hammered down all night. It’s either all or nothing!!
Hi Fiona I would leave the Celery, it will fatten up! My Celery at the allotment is small but I have 1 at home which I've had a few stalks from. I just pick the biggest stalks and let the rest grow. Great tour. Julia made leek and potato soup (with Celery) with all ingredients from the allotment/home, it was delicious! 👍
I’d never considered just cutting off the bigger stalks...good idea! We’ve had massive amounts of rain over the last week or so , so I’m hoping it will help plump up the celery. There’s nothing more satisfying that pulling together an entire meal that you’ve grown yourself!
Hi Fiona, as you say the rain has really freshened everything up and your crops look great. Lovely Spinach and Kale etc. and your Cabbages are good even though they have been "attacked." Best Wishes, Paul & Nadj.
I’m ready for the rain to stop now! It has poured and poured here for the last couple of weeks! But the plants are loving it. 🤗
First one. Great photography on this one.
Thank you! 🤗
🥰 still look great 🥰 love sunflower
We’re getting sooo much rain it has brought everything back to life!
everything still looks so awesome
Thanks Sadie! The recent rain and lots of sunshine has helped the allotment this year!🤗
A 10 to 1 mix of whole milk and water sprayed once a week on marrow, squash and courgette leaves during the growing period helps prevent powdery mildew, everything looking lovely, take care 👍
I haven’t heard that one before. I’ll have to give it a try next year. (Remind me!😉).
I had the mildue stuff on the leaves too. I thinned a lot.of them out. Iv not been up the plot for a couple of weeks but aim to get up today.
The yams looks like they doing great 👍
Yes, the courgettes and squash are just about finished. They seem to get the mildew every year which is a shame as it makes the last few courgettes rot. But we’ve probably got enough courgettes by now!😂
Your plot looks good for this time of year well done :)
All the rain we’ve had has really brought it back to life!
hi, great video, happy to found you! have a lovely day x
Thanks for watching!🤗
Hi Fiona, the allotment looks fantastic. I don’t think I managed to get ours looking so green and vibrant at any time throughout summer. We still haven’t had enough rain to make the ground workable.
It’s got to the point that I’d gladly share our rain! It’s pouring again today and all night. We must have had a years worth of rain in the last couple of weeks! I’m just hoping everything doesn’t get mouldy and rotten now.
@@fionagrows1848 we’ll have some please. Had a heavy shower yesterday but it only lasted a few minutes.
I think you have done better with your squash than I have , I have struggled to keep them watered enough and the heat was to much for them both squash and courgettes have failed to produce harvestable fruits.I’m not sure if the location has had anything to do with it in in North Cornwall and it’s been dryer than I’ve known here, now we’re having lots of rain and very strong winds . Oh well , there’s always next year 🤞
The weather in Cornwall has certainly been more challenging this summer than for us in the north. It’s been hot but we have had at least some rain. It’s such a shame you have gotten a courgette or squash crop! Gardening can be cruel sometimes 😩😂. As you say.....next year!
WOW. NICE COVERAGE. great presentation. Some thing different. GREETINGS from HONG KONG . Please Enjoy watching n support to #RichScenic , Tks a lot friend for our mutual friendship to grow together !!
