I also believe it existed to some extent. As a proof of concept it could already identify CW police radar at SEMA which is harder than identifying BSM’s and so in theory they should have been able to achieve many of their claims.
Given their choice to completely go silent in terms of communication, it’s hard to say exactly where the breakdown went from development years ago to still no release today.
We can speculate about government contacts which may or may not be the case, but ultimately I think they’ve wound up doing a ton of damage to themselves with how everything has gone down with Theia.
I love seeing people innovate and do something more than add BT or WiFi to an existing detector, lol, but still you gotta eventually you gotta keep your promises and release something…

I wouldn't support them for shit anymore, they sold people on vaporware to get their name in the game at top-tier which they would have never been considered as a new entry without the vaporware. The minute Uniden updated the R8 and I could use Highway Radar I sold my DS1 immediately and lost all of maybe $50 on resale market having the Bluetooth tech before Uniden and ever since will never go back to not having Highway Radar. Jon is so full of shit and frankly used/abused reputable reviewers and bloggers in the community to boost his company and get funding for real product while completely abandoning the future tech we supported if it ever even existed (I for one don't think it was ever real). R8 + Highway Radar = the best imho

Hey Vortex ….. yes I’m still around.
I’ve been just using my RC-M as the controller for the ALP’s.
Not so much radar. That’s been taken over by the R360C.
The reason I keep the RC-M bridged with the ALP’s is mainly for the visual laser identification.
Not a fan of using my phone under any circumstances, so the ALP Bluetooth is out.
Also I do not like the controller alone that comes with the ALP’s.
I just shut off the radar part of the RC-M and rely on it for controlling the ALP’s and RLC alerts.
Keep up the good work. I’m still around and watching.

      @madkow70 Před 2 měsíci +5

@@VortexRadar I’ve been using RCM on three of my cars last five years and I’ve been very happy with them.
R8 outright performs better. Not sure exactly how much better. But I’ll take every edge that can buy. Haha
Although im in Virginia, the ticket for RD use us so little, I simply can’t justify the expense of Remote system.
Especially when I have need for multiple cars.
I’ve been using R8 Companion App with R8 and it addressed the auto-learn dificiencies.
RCM with ALP integration is not perfect either. I’m not sure if Radenso is really keeping up with the market anymore.

I only get false K band alerts on door openers that are closer than 30 meters. Maybe once or twice on some BSM in 10 hours of driving.
I think Stinger did a good job. Not sure what detection is on K Ka band, we don't use that here anymore. Hopefully encounter some next week in Germany.

Detection is legal, short answer is jamming is not for multiple reasons in Florida. They can/will cite you with multiple civil and/or criminal violations depending on the officer and situation, but skinny is no, illegal. Most States are illegal. Don't run it as a lone wolf or have good brakes with a brake-light switch which is also illegal, make sure to shut off promptly in a pack to allow them to ping you and likely dismiss the false read, or just don't

Radenso is way behind the power curve.
We've been using radar sensors since the 80s that can auto identify anything that looks at it instantly.
And SAR (synthetic aperture radar) used on the F15 and other craft can ground scan and produce radar pictures on MFDs and auto identify ground targets, along with other abilities.
The F35 is a flying AI robot with a human passenger I side. Lol
NGAD is already flying for almost 2 years now and no one has seen it yet.
F22 has been obsolete by our own standards for awhile now, and the F22 is still decades ahead of our closest near peers.
