Hey there, fam! Charlotte Dobre back on the channel with some seriously wild stories that'll have you questioning humanity's audacity level. Buckle up, because we're diving into the world of exes who took 'audacious' to a whole new level!
We've all been there, right? You think you know someone, you invest time, love, maybe even a bit of your sanity, only for them to pull a move that leaves you staring in disbelief. Well, get ready to hear some jaw-dropping tales that'll make you wonder just what planet some people are from!
From exes who pop back into your life with the audacity to ask for favors, to those who show up uninvited to family events like they're still part of the clan, we're covering it all. And trust me, the audacity knows no bounds!
But wait, it gets even crazier! Picture this: you're happily moving on with your life, minding your own business, when out of the blue, your ex slides into your DMs with the audacity to hit you up for relationship advice. Um, excuse me? Last time I checked, that ship had sailed!
And if you thought ghosting was bad, just wait until you hear about the exes who had the audacity to ghost you, only to resurface months later with a casual "Hey, stranger" like they didn't disappear off the face of the earth without a trace. Classic move, am I right?
But fear not, fam, because with every audacious ex comes a valuable lesson in boundaries and self-respect. So grab your popcorn and get ready to cringe, laugh, and maybe shed a tear or two as we delve into the absurd world of exes with the audacity.
Alright, that's a wrap for today's video! Don't forget to hit that like button, subscribe for more juicy content, and share your own audacious ex stories in the comments below. Until next time, stay fabulous, and remember: never underestimate the audacity of an ex!

Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. Come hang out, it's a good time.

FYI: Legally blind refers to what your BEST CORRECTED vision is. This manbaby is not legally blind. He needs full time spectacles. 1) don't sleep in contact lenses as serious sight threatening infections can occur. 2) Always have a back-up pair of spectacles, especially if you have a high prescription. However, this man seems to have much more serious issues than his vision. (P.S. I'm an eye doc in USA).

Stop that immediately! This is where it comes from! I don't know how old your son is, but if he's older than 7 or 8, he should be getting himself up - with no warmed up clothes. Buy him an alarm clock and teach him how to use it. For a younger kid, a clock radio makes it fun. Waking up to music is a great way to start the day. You may need to double check each day for awhile that the alarm is still set and you'll need to serve as back up. If you find he's not getting up and just turning the alarm off, you'll have to move it across the room so he has to get up.
Don't raise your son to be like this horrible person. Teach him to be strong and independent and how to be a responsible adult.

Blindness really is a spectrum, you can be legally blind (which he is) but it can be corrected with lenses. Without his glasses, he is effectively blind. I’m legally blind without my glasses, I have a couple pairs because glasses sometimes randomly break (I had a pair just snap on my face while I was just walking back from class, literally nothing else happened. My best guess is the temperature change between the air-conditioned classroom and the outdoors lead to that). Without my glasses everything is a blur of color, I’m effectively blind. Not all blind people see complete darkness, some only see lights/ shadows, some have a very limited field of vision, etc. He’s an abusive asshole but he’s still blind when he doesn’t have his glasses.

Me, not a relation, but I had a manipulative flatmate that hated me. She didn't do anything that I could point out to people until four month of profound disconfort went by. But just her general attitude, her way not to look at me, not to speak to me beyond "good morning" her body language were some sort of hidden abuse. She eventually moved out.

@@rebny7801 I agree! I love Charlotte's humor, but I hope the "Ex Files" becomes a recurring theme as it's so relatable to many of us who are still healing. I hope that young men and women who have not experienced this kind of relationship dynamic are learning to spot the red flags of abusive partners.
Charlotte is sharing vital, life-saving info here while still being funny, entertaining, and looking lovely as ever.
1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner, according to NCADV; the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
The CDC reports that about 41% of women and 26% of men experienced contact sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner and reported an intimate partner violence-related impact during their lifetime. I suspect those numbers are higher in actuality, because many won't report violence from their intimate partner, especially men who face ridicule from other men who insinuate that they are "weak".

I agree with you about the second story. I was married for 8 years then went through a horrid divorce. Anyone who was ‘my’ friend I expected to be on my side, which is why I dropped a couple of them who decided to continue talking to him. They even thought it was ok to tell me about what he was up to in his life, including their opinions on who he was dating etc! They couldn’t get it through their heads that I wanted a completely clean break from the narcissist who had left me in such a mess I lost my job and my home because I could no longer afford to stay in our house (that he’d secured debts on) and I had to go to the other side of the country to live with my Mum. I lost a husband and a couple of ‘so called’ friends but I’m so much happier now. I’ve been loved up with a wonderful man for 15 great years and became his wife 3 years ago, I found my calling and run my own successful business, my true friends were my rocks throughout the low times and boy have we partied and celebrated some good times together. I was wondering what happened as well. Maybe she got tired of hearing him say that she was too pretty for him all the time or something (or maybe he kept making comments about other guys looking at her). I mean it would become grating to hear it repeatedly especially from someone you care about.

My husband and I were at a huge fair in our area. Like one of the biggest in the country. I stopped at the massage booth for a 15 minute massage and gave my husband my glasses. I’m also legally blind without glasses. When the massage was over I looked up with my blurred vision and couldn’t make my husband out anywhere. Eventually he came back but the night was ruined. I never understood how vulnerable and disabled I am without my glasses until that moment. Almost blind, thousands of people all around, every single one a blur. It was terrifying. I was so angry at him for leaving me stranded that way. Ps. My husband is practically a saint but used to drink a lot at the fair. He’s been sober for over two years ❤

Also had a friend who similarly married to a man baby. He got worse and worse over the years. Nothing was ever his fault and always his wife’s. He was unemployed and living off her money. The instant she lost her job durning COVID he left her. And now he’s trying to beg his way back but she’s finally realizing how much happier she is not having to take care of him all the time.

So glad for Kristen. I had a similar situation when my ex complained about the messy house with 2 toddlers (he’s a hoarder) and I was vacuuming the bathroom crying. He kept telling me to treat the vac with respect while I’d answer back why don’t you love me. He fully extended his arm above his head for what seemed like forever. The only things saving me were the door frame and the bulky vac in front of me. I couldn’t escape and the kids were in their bedrooms. If he’d struck me, my head would have been smacked into the wall. We lived in one of the most remotest places in the world and my friends all knew him as their husbands worked with him so I couldn’t tell anyone and didn’t know if he knew any cops through cycling community. What I didn’t realise that the only difference between emotional and physical abuse is the scars are on the inside. I put up with him for 32yrs. They don’t change and there is no low. I was lucky in the end to find out some of the lies that had been there from the beginning.

@@scarlettedelacroix3299 Thank you so much. The first thing I said to myself after I found out what he’d been up to the whole marriage was to get my head together, and I did. I’ve also learnt new skills, wrote 3 design books and in the last 6 months, I’ve started a light DIY reno my home. It’s so cool to trust my own instincts when no one else thought it’s been a good idea. Take care of your heart and mind and wishing you all the best in life!

27 year DV survivor. I had to hide to escape. And I lost everything. But I got out.
He absolutely would have hit you the next chance he had because you would have given him permission by staying. And it would have gotten worse and worse. And harder and harder to escape.
I am so proud of you!!! And so happy. I’ll look for your other horror stories. Big hugs. And way to go.
And Charlotte, thank you for highlighting this story. The biggest problem is the isolation. And telling such stories may help those who live with an abuser, not recognizing the behavior for what it is, and give them the impetus to escape.
