@@PhoneRepairGuru OMG BRO UR BOT ARE SUPER GOO I HATE U8 AND UR VUIDO TRY TOUCH GRASS FOR ONCE
Until I see a range test I have this in the category of “this can work, but over less than a meter.”.
Yeah most of these only work on such a short distance at such a low quality you might as well just use a real cable
Using one from "J-Tech" to transmit video about ~30 feet across my house, through several walls. No idea what the latency is, but it works alright. Every couple days or so it freezes up or outright disconnects though, and I have to go and restart the transmitter.
@@TyJupiterYT what does ur pc/tv/monitor recognize it as tho, is it full hdmi 2.1? Probably not eh
From previous videos I've seen.. You're not far off. Also it's extremely easy to block the signal with a body or anything else. Its almost line of sight. Some of them won't even make it across a living room properly
I bought one of these. Exact the same model as the video. And i did a range test in a parking lot. It worked about 45m / 147 feets with a low latency
“No latency” said with the Chinese manufacturer pointing a gun at his back 😂
Looks like it's 2.4G, which cuts the latency introduced by transmission to negligable. Tho encoding and decoding will of course take some time too.
It's not a digital signal, it's radio frequency

To be fair 2010 was 14 years ago and technology improves fast. Even only a couple years ago wireless was not very good. This stuff is still not perfect even now, you can see there’s enough latency in this video to make gaming not a totally great experience.

-1 HDMI Cable

if you using it on a tv to a console it’s convenient
@@CuriosityCorner_.how?
@@CuriosityCorner_.Because let's say the outlet under your TV has only two plugs that are taken up, instead of having to buy a power strip you can literally set your gaming console or whatever you're connecting to the TV anywhere else in the room that has a plugin without the need for extra plugs/cords and it overall gives a cleaner look instead of having cables dangling from your TV to a console
Not only this, you could do that across rooms, from your room to the kitchen, that's pretty useful
So many ways it could be useful, come on man
Brother trying to flip shit from alibaba for sure lmao
I'm not surprised you hadn't heard about them. They were used in cinema for remote camera monitors and last I remembered a few years ago were still going for $400 at the cheapest. So a set for $50 is news to me.
Well no shit lol it's from AliExpress it's some cheap ass chinesium knockoff that doesn't work as well as the original 🤣

@@escapetherace1943 Yeah, the cables have it. I'm talking about retroactively adding the ability to the devices you're plugging it into. AFAIK very few manufacturers have ever actually done anything with the standard.
The same thing was done by GALAX/KFA2 on their GTX 460, but the throughput was garbage, despite offering 1080p 60fps.

Yup! Had to bolt my cable box to the wall right next to to tv!😂
"Minimal latency"
Nah, dawg, there is a lot of latency, and is really not playable for games.
There was some sacrifice to display quality it seemed more like 720p fluctuating to 1080p but in terms of latency, I didn't really notice a difference.
I already stream VR games from my PC to Quest 3 with minimal latency so this is theoretically possible, encoding is done by my RTX 4090 tho. Idk how well this thing handles but on video they look beefy - who knows?
@PhoneRepairGuru brush, you showed the footage we can see the .25-.5 second page, wtf you talking about?
I'm excited for power cords to be wireless. NO MORE TANGLED CABLES!
Edit: I’m not joking, I actually hope this becomes a thing with some future tech.
I'm sorry to inform you that this probably won't happen in the near future. It is only possible through inductive charging or light beamed at a solar panel. And both are very inefficient 😢

1. Not as reliable as wires

3. Very inefficient
4. High latency
5. Sometimes harder to connect devices

WHY DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS 😭😭😭
This will make cable management insane
Now we only need wireless monitor Power cables 😂
Really useful in industrial settings. Operations can watch sections of thier line with a camera system and it doesn't require extra cabling, down side: aligning the high db antenna.
Next: Wireless power cable😊

@@justusschafer291you really missed the joke
@@justusschafer291r/wooosh
@justusschafer291 stating the obvious
not so obvious from the video unless you look closely: it requires auxiliary power at each end, because (as far as i know) HDMI doesn't carry power. so there's some sneaky cables plugged into the transmitters on each end that make it a bit more clunky than just a magic dongle.
You can also use several without the signals intersecting/interfering with each other
We had 2 sets of 5Ghz video sender-receivers but for composite AV over a decade ago for about NZ$50 (US$30.50) each. Still got them but not in use anymore. Very useful if you wanted to play something recorded on our DVRs on each other's TVs in each other's bedroom.
I'm surprised it works that well and not being another aliexpress scam 💀
yeah reciever and transmitter 15 cm apart, hard to not make it work, test it over 1m, 3 , 5m and we will see how it goes
I would like to know how it performs with other games. Would be interesting to see
LTT has made a couple of videos diving into these types of transmitters, cool stuff.
it really cool but wireless tech needs some more time so this can actually be practical. the bandwidth that hdmi uses is really big so unless you want something super compressed we have to wait for a standard with really large bandwidth
Remember when nvidia tried to make a wireless hdmi gpu, i think it was some form of 460
Literally you can see the cord when you plug it into the switch
Could also be really useful for sharing your tablet or phone’s screen on a large display like a projector screen for a presentation! If you have an android device! :)
Well we need some more info. As:
Actual Latency numbers.
Range?
Image Compression?
Max Resolution?
Max Refresh Rate?
Cause a 50ms compressed 1080p30 image is fine for TV, but you can't game on it.
Believe or not this would actually be crazy for streaming
Everyone, a NEW STEAMWORLD HEIST
“Minimal “ 👀 that term gave me the ick
I was actually wondering if something like this existed. I was looking into it a little while ago, and I either didn't find anything or they were too expensive and gave up on it. Definitely will be grabbing one of these. :)
Composite AV ones have been around for decades, at a bit cheaper than these.
Would be cool for a sports bar, if it supports a multicast mode
This is actually similar to how the wireless adapters for old VR headsets worked, such as the HTC Vive. Just transmitted a full HDMI signal uncompressed.
This used to be my shower thoughts for a while in 2023, glad it came to life
50$ Aliexpress is like 200$ Amazon so it better work🤣
Those kinds of things sound like a good way to spy on everything you do.
Cable management finna be lit
Its perfect for clean setup
It's compressing the video and adding latency, someone could also decrypt the video and it causes congestion on the radio frequency
Clean setup but at a large cost. Stick to cable for a display input unless you want the less colur range of your screen and not even getting the most out of your HZ of your screen same can be said for any video artifacts.
The saying don't belive everything you see is true this short only trys to praise on it but doesn't say of the cons even tho as pointed out you can clearly see one of the cons of a wireless hdmi the colour of the screen not looking as great like all the colour has been drained from the game will for sure bring people back to the 1990-2007 screen days. And i don't belive you would want to go to those times we have it much better now days.
Next day neighbor is knocking for those videos you were watching at late night
This is definitely something useful for streaming shows, obviously for gaming wired is basically always better
This would be great for a second monitor that you could move around the room for different uses
This is the second time I’ve heard of this tech in the last week. Tells me it’s going to come down in price soon.
"We'll plug the other side into our switch"
*Plugs in wired HDMI cable*
Imagine this as a new tv licence protocol or something.
good job... you just turned it into a local server

Its showing up as $65 now.
Does this work through walls or is it only goid enough for line of sight like conference halls etc ?
Transmits with wire, then goes to connect two power cables.
Nice, the professional ones for cameras are thousands of dollars, not bad.
There's even HDMI through ethernet. Techmoan made a video about it recently.
Theres also a wireless nvidia gpu around gtx 400 series, its the GALAX / GALAXY GTX 460
Wireless is like Oktoberfest without Beer!
Wow those guys are going to make some serious cash
There Is Also A Wireless GPU In Case You Guys Were Wondering!
Phillips made and sold a wireless HDMI transmitter with dual input 15+ years ago.

Smash bros makes perfect sense as a latency test
Makes sense this would exist. I'm no expert, but if it can be done with USB, like in a wireless mouse, then it could be done with HDMI since it's all data in the end.
Yes, but the enourmous data rate that needs to be transmitted might have complicated the development of these for a long time, the technology to replace a cable with wireless that has to handle data rates of up to 50 GBit/s without interruption for uncompressed images took long to mature.
@@Halolalol No doubting that, a few button presses isn't nearly as complex as a whole screen.
Why doesn't they do this for USB? In some cases it would be very, very useful
Normal USB 2.0 or Newer=Better? Then Capture Card is an option it usually mounts as an imaging device the issue is latency and budget ones have an excess of 80-500MS that's why you don't see them USB-C different question potentially... PCI-E the best for budget it can be the same latency as USB but can be 30ms.
Actually wireless USB was a thing in the late 2000s. It was even a standard. It never caught on though....
there was a third-party GT Series GPU that did the same thing, LTT made a video on it a couple of years ago
if you’re techy you could prolly make these decent over range with some modifications
This used to be so expensive, Surprising now you can get this for $50
Need a full review
czcams.com/video/_cLsK2YZwDU/video.html its not a review of these but its basicly the same thing tho i bet it is some what improved apon but the problems still will be there just like wifi signal your better off with cables, since they can transmit much better data to your device.
This short doesn't go over the cons of these, tho you can clearly see the one of the cons in the footage that your colour range to the screen will be more wash out looking since to even get the display working great they need to cut the amount of colour to send to in the signal since more colur to send to the screen the more the signal will get messy since too much data in the air making it messy and so your screen will stuggle to capture it.
What do you consider to be "minimal" latency? You can see in the video that your input lags a noticable amount.
Man i wish i knew about theae too! I run a 20ft hdmi from my pc to my tv which is fine but I would be cool to have these just for casual gaming as long as the bluetooth can reach the controller aswell 😂
I saw the latency, it needs an external power souce, I'm doubtful the range and transmission quality is up to standard
What's the max resolution/refresh rate of this thing?
By the listings the resolution 1080P@60HZ and HDMI 1.3 and HDCP (content protection) 1.2 and boasts a whopping 150M "apparently" line of sight? that's not so true more like 20-50M...
So i'm running this 30 foot cable across my room to my tv for nothing... I been wishing something like this existed :3
I recently paid $1,500 for a pair of these and I'd easily pay 3 times that. What a sweet deal!
i think they used this at the park i work at. To feed a massive screen on stage. Some 30m between soundbooth and stage.
I've a feeling this would interfere with WiFi signals.
Minimal latency means there’s still latency, put your console nest to the monitor or get an extension cord
I would love this to be to de clutter my dad's living room shelf.
Ahh yes replacing a single cable with a power adaptor and two cable is such a convenience.
