    Before people replace the sending unit, clean the contacts from the swing arm. If it's clean and still have issues, it may be the instrument cluster. G35 clusters are notorious for malfunctioning lights and gauges. I had to get my cluster fixed because of the incorrect fuel gauge level and lights were blinking randomly.

      @@modiddly1663 tanin auto electronix. The reason why I went with them is because they fixed multiple cluster problems (dim lights, turn signal, etc). Other places will only fix the fuel gauge problem.
      To all g35 owners, your instrument cluster will start to malfunction. I don't know one g35 owner who didn't have this issue. So if your going to get it fixed, get it all fixed while it's out. Save time and money in the long run.

    Having this exact issue, replaced my fuel pump and sending unit... still stays stuck at 3 quarters full. The cluster seems to work as well because when i unplug the sending unit and power on the car, the cluster shows empty. No idea what can it be. As a test i also installed the driver side sending unit at 180 degrees and still the same readout. I'll put it back to normal today.

    Heyy I have a 2012 Camry.. last week i hit a huge rock under my car and I noticed that it hit the main arms under my car and made scratches and nothing major. However, when I went to get gas, I noticed the same problem u have with my fuel gauge. My fuel meter wont go full. Do you think I’m having a similar issue with you? Or my gas tank has a dent? I’m hoping I don’t have to change the whole tank. Maybe sending unit due to the impact? Any thoughts will be appreciated!

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah, it could have broken the sending unit or like you say dented the tank. If it’s not leaking and it still goes to empty properly it may be fine. I’d take it to a shop for them to look it over

    Danny, does the G-35 sedan fuel pump assembly include the driver’s side sending unit or are they sold separately? Did you find a replacement sending unit? I had the passenger side sending replaced years ago but it didn’t fix the innaccurate fuel readings.

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  Před rokem +1

      The sending units are sold separately, and after replacing both it ended up being the cluster czcams.com/video/aMnpWTkiH-A/video.html

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  Před 2 lety
