    I want to say thank you for the assistance as I replaced the fuel sending unit on my 05 Altima. Little different set up on mine as I'm not sure if it was due to mine being a V6, 3.5 SE. I had two connections on top of sending unit and a lock ring. I would also recommend that you wear a ventilator mask as the fumes were pungent.

    i changed a fuel pump for 2012 Nissan Versa Hatchback 1.8 liter, and I did not release the fuel psi before or after, but I started on an empty tank, and I turned the key on and said that I have a half a tank except both fuel pumps match up the same and identical parts. I never had a any problems with the fuel gauge before, so I know that it had something to do with the installation of the fuel pump. I am curious of it might being something simple.

    TIP: for our 2005 Altima with a different locking ring... After using a hammer and a screwdriver to get the ring off with great difficulty, we finally got it off but putting the ring back on with the hammer and a screwdriver was even harder. I got my air chisel out and it went on super fast at 100 psi.

    Hi and thank you for this video. I have an 07 Nissan Sentra that I just replaced the fuel pump assembly on. I followed your instructions/video to a T! After I installed it I went and filled the tank. After 8 miles the digital gas gauge dropped to 3/4 of a tank. I'm like something isn't right so I went back and got a replacement and the same thing is showing with the new pump. I wanted to know if you could post a video/walk me through how to reset a digital fuel gauge? I really need your help. TIA. By the way I went online and looked at the manual and it doesn't show how to. 🤦🏾‍♂️

It was gas pump and I went to junk yard got it for $34 including warranty . That was yesterday now running like a champ like new !! Yeah at very beginning suspected it might be pump but went with shop's recommendation . I trouble shooted it myself .

      To test the cluster:
      1. Turn ignition switch ON (don't start car, just turn to on)
      2. Switch the odo/trip meter to “trip A” or “trip B” and hold the button down (this will reset your trip meter to zero).
      3. Turn ignition switch OFF (keep holding the trip button down).
      3. Turn ignition switch back ON (still holding down trip button).
      4. Take finger off the button and press the same button a few times quickly ( at least 3 times within 7 seconds).
      6. The cluster is now in self-diagnosis mode (all the digits in the odometer will be light)
      7. Press in the odo/trip button (if the cluster is good, you'll see the dials bounce up every time you press the button)
      8. Switch off (which ends the cluster check).

      +carlos contreras Yes, we carry the complete unit shown in this video on our website. Here is a link to them www.1aauto.com/nissan-altima-fuel-pump-and-sending-unit-module/i/1afpu01360?CZcams&CTA+Comment&WBxe-tY-A

      No, they are separate parts, the pump is usually found near or inside of the gas tank, and the filter is usually located under the hood.

    Silly question, but can you replace the California top with a federal top?

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  Před 4 lety +1

      +Duane Bedgood We do not recommend it. Thanks for checking us out!

    • @rockfangd
      @rockfangd Před 4 lety

      You cannot. The tank is different. Federal emissions uses a turn style lock ring. California uses a bolt down ring.
      You would also have a open return port on the fuel pump

      +akilcox1 We sell our own house brand parts that cost much less than name brand parts. Most of the cost will be in the brand name, so we are almost always a lot lower in price! www.1aauto.com/nissan-altima-fuel-pump-and-sending-unit-module/i/1afpu01360?CZcams&CTA+Comment&WBxe-tY-A
