I ordered Timken bearings (SET2 and SET5) for my 96 B3000 RWD. Also ordered a new Timken seal. I bought new Bendix rotors too, the rotor/hub assemblies are so cheap I wouldn’t reuse the old ones.

stupid question, what is the indication that you need to replace this control arm?

you broke the plug because you dont know what your doing, on those engines you have to run the engine till full hot, then use a impact gun and you will never break another one.

You can save a ton of money by doing it yourself, especially if you have to go to somewhere like Firestone. I did not have the tools or the lift to do it myself and it cost some major bucks...good thing is they do gooe work and guarantee the work.

Well I have to say that is is nearly impossible to get that pin and clip together without pulling the axles to replace those parking brake shoes.I could not even fit a finger in the space between the hub and shield.You are a magician to be able to do that so easily. Prepare to spend at least an hour trying. I'd like to meet the genius designed that set up.

I have a 08 Honda Civic I brought back in 2018, had 70,000 miles when I got it and now I have 122,000 miles and so far after all these years, the most expensive thing I had to do was replace the starter. Since 2018 the other minor stuff I had to do was change the battery, get new tires and of course keep up with all the oil changes. I thought about trading my Honda in for something more newer but when my mechanic told me for my year, 08 Honda, I should be way over 200,000 miles by now but since I’m not close to that and it’s still running, why trade when she’s been so reliable and be back to making car payments again? He mad a lot of sense and he’s right, I’m going to drive my Honda until she can’t go no more. She’s been good to me for the 8 years I’ve had her and I’m going to continue to keep her.

52k mile engine mounts 84k mile steering rack 97k mile engine mounts again got replaced. (luckily it’s under warranty this time.) Either I'm a terrible driver or the parts are another matter, let alone the Explorer. (2015)

Hey what do you do If you didn’t use brake cleaner before driving with the new braking system? Should I lift up the car and go back and clean the rotors? Or is the damage pretty much already done since the pads will be full of whatever was on the rotors to begin with?

I bought a 2016 trail hawk in 2018 with 17K miles had a lot of problems that was covered under warranty: A/C, radiator fan 2X, radiator leak (leaked in warranty) I found after replacing fan out of warranty! power seat, wiper fluid hose issue, & now at 77K miles the only issue is the door panel & headliner fabric is separating! Due to low quality of adhesive Jeep uses & high humidity where I live! Voice recognition leaves a lot to be desired! Will I buy another..????

I never paid attention to this part after decades doing my own car repairs. I even change the tranny fluid on all our cars. I’ve even changed a damaged tranny to radiator line. Strange

What about the stuck lifters from the fuel saver function. Where it goes from 4 to 8 cylinders - to save fuel - then the issue with the lifters that stick!

so on the drain plug torque.....I got some bad info and failed to cross check...I installed the plug at ~18 ft lbs (using a beam torque wrench), on doing more searching, I see that it should be 30....think this things gonna fall out before I can get to it to retighten in a few days?

Also don't forget about the PowerShift transmission if you go for the automatic version of any ford car from this gen. My mum's stopped working at like 50'000 km. There's also a class action against ford in the US and Australia regarding this.

This was SO helpful! So easy to follow. Great camera angle. Great explanation of process and tools used. The only thing that differed for my 2011 Escape was that the T30 was too big, I used a T25. I was able to get this motor changed out on my own in about 1.5hrs! Thank you!!

So, there’s an o-ring replacement that comes with the filter under that that piece you weren’t able to take off. How important is it that I replace that. What could possibly undo it. It’s on top tight!

I can’t get my key cylinder back in the correct position. I noticed there are two springs in the back that the flat part of cylinder goes between. Can you rotate those in the back ?
