- On the 28th of July 2023, officers were dispatched to a suburban home. The caller claimed that she was assaulted by her daughter's 20-year-old girlfriend. Apparently, the intoxicated girlfriend had pinned her to the ground and beaten her repeatedly before taking off.

I don't hate knowing that they exist I hate knowing that there's not a lot of help for these people or resources in their environments because they're so poverty-stricken. Even with resources, the mental illnesses and shame that these personality disorders and Drug addictions cause make it very difficult for addicts to have any hope and believe in themselves that they can make a successful and long-term change and stay clean and sober. Let alone maintain a job and get it their own place. It's really sad. I quit being a substance use disorder therapist because it was so draining, especially after my cousin overdosed and my dad has had substance use disorders my entire life, I just couldn't take it anymore.
