There actually is a dipstick to check oil level on the right side of the engine below the clutch case... so make sure you haven't put too much oil in it because you may blow the oil pan gasket or worse-the headgasket!

Motonosity the light just turns on when the oil pressure is to low. So you could damage your engine with to less oil.

There's an oil dipstick below the fill cap, slightly towards the rear brake foot lever. It looks like an idle adjustment knob. Using that dipstick is the proper and only way to check your oil level.

Dude thank you so much for your detailed videos! Everyone I buy a new bike/ car I always CZcams how to videos to help me do my own work and I try to choose the best videos, and for my 2019 R6 it was all your awesome videos! Your such a cool dude, you have a beautiful family, and your down to earth. ALL of your videos are helpful! Especially the oil change, servo eliminator, and air mods video! Because of you I’m sending my ECU to Bauce Racing, who btw, are very professional and great to deal with! Keep you the solid work bro.👊

Hi! Can't believe you got a new R6! I love this bike since the first models! I've been giving my blood to my work in the last 4 years, that's why I actually didn't follow my inscriptions on YT, and I didn't even know you had changed channels...Thanks to ++AB I got the track back to Motonosity! HAHUAHUAH! By the way, in 2013 my life took a change and I had to move to a bigger city to work, then I got limited time to spent on internet...but in 2015 I finnaly got a Yamaha XJ6N! I'd made a couple videos on my own channel! It's nice to be back! Have good roads!

Nice video thanks! Some practical Help for viewers: 1.you really only need to remove the very bottom left side body panel, and loosen the main left side panel. I saw he removed the entire left panel and upper small panel. That might be slightly helpful, but that’s really over kill.
    2. the oil filter can be removed with a standard Toyota 14 four oil filter wrench if you have one handy which I did.

I know my r6 2014 I have no issue at all about cold start. and the way it is. I wish you were closer here. I'm in california and I thought you were in cali at first until I started following your blogs/videos, you're in Texas... But either way I will be watching you all the time for all the blogs/videos that you make for either of your bike but more in to your r6 because that is all I have to compare for now as what I have. thank you so much. love the quick shifter. I also have that for my r6 2014 but generic quck shifter gp style love it. I hady ecu flash by vcyclenut. keep up the good work.

for your new oil filter, you do not need to add new oil on the o-ring/ seal.. It comes greased from the factory. Thats half the reason why they add that plastic cover to it.

Does anyone reuse their oil filter between oil changeS? For everyone possibly opining why wouldn’t anyone want to change the filter; I always do. This is just a simple question.
I’m wondering because my oil is perfectly clean after 3.5k miles on a 19k mile bike. I live in Seattle suburbs so I ride half the year only.
-Obviously, the oil filter has done its job as designed and that’s mainly the reason my oil stays super clean.
Just asking what would happen if not replaced or if anyone reuses theirs for another round?
