It is so weird but so great to see Greg, Blessing and Tim next to each other!
Great coverage as always KF crew!
It's not weird, it's right.
Let's be honest. No matter what they showed there are people who would be disappointed. I understand people are anxious and tired of waiting. I'm one of them. But I'm also tired of getting less polished games. So take however much time you need. Plenty to keep me busy until then. Also...I wasn't looking forward to Starfield but now I am. Thought it looked dope.
If Andy wants a hollowknight fix whilst waiting for silksong, he should try all the hollowknight content he missed in his playthrough.
Oof
How much did he miss? I’m unaware. I think I put around 90-100 hours in that game and still didn’t finish all of the super hard end/post game stuff after beating the main boss.
I know it's probably not but this seemed so snarky lol
@@TheHeretic4 definitely not the intention. Just meant he'd not played the dlc etc
I'm actually quite happy with what was shown.
Personally that was a 8/10 show for me as it showed quite a few things that interested me. Also am really excited to see what Kojima gets up to as I really enjoyed deaths stranding!
Quite curious to see what others think of it
I think you mean a 4/5😉
I think you mean a 2 out 5
Lots of the games going too playstation too
Just like how the SoP felt like it was missing because no GoW, this felt missing because no Halo, Gears, Marcus Fenix Collection, Hellblade, STALKER, etc. But I would give it 7.5/10
@@toddeggleston3556 gow was never going too be at sop they said 3rd party and vr. But youll see gow real soon
This might be a hot take. I liked this more than most Xbox press conferences. It’s more boring doing games within the next year but there was so much more gameplay than in past. They seem to be taking notes from Nintendo. It’s cool getting big announcements but as I get older I care less for those just cgi trailers.
Yeah I feel this. If I never saw another CG trailer again I would never miss them.
I don’t think it’s a hot take. I really loved the pacing of this. The only downside of this showcase was the lack of big surprising announcements and reveals. But if those announcements would be 2+ years off if nots worth it. So I think all things considered xbox did a great job and I really hope they largely continue to stick with this template, but just squeeze a few more big reveals in there.
I hope Xcast does a full breakdown next week after the extended show. Love the rest of the KF team but it's a bummer we couldn't have Gary and Parris here with Snowbike like usual to go over their thoughts.
I thought the conference was mid tbh. I appreciated the fact they kept ot moving at least. Starfield wasn't as revolutionary as they hyped it to be. Redfall seems cool but familiar also. Benedict Fox and Flintlock looked cool.
Very mid. Glad Mike called it out.
Mike dropped all the facts man good job.
I think Mike totally nailed it, and despite being a huge MS fan, was very honest, and fair with everything he saw, and didn't sugar coat things, which was refreshing to hear.
I don't think Mike acknowledges post pandemic game development situation. Big hype games coming out at a much slower rate than before with this "work from home" vs "in office" debate across the industry (and most other industries as well to be fair).
No he didn’t. He completely whiffed on Diablo by not understanding how important the information they dropped was. He completely missed the point by thinking that Sony single player games are they standard. They’re not. If you look at the most played games, they’re multiplayer road appeal games and that includes games played on PlayStaton. It’s why Sony is making a big push toward live service games. Ali we hear are complaints about no gameplay in trailers and o timeframe for release as people still aren’t happy when they get it. Overwatch 2 is going to be huge. Diablo IV is going to be huge. Starfield is going to be huge. Forza is going to be one of the best racing games. There was so many smaller games out there that looked really good and hit a wide market. It’s silly to measure a conference solely by home many games appeal to “you” instead of understanding that there are fantastic games that don’t appeal to “you.” I like Mike’s enthusiasm and takes, but he completely missed the forest the for the trees with this one. The conference was stacked with great games and if he can’t see that, I am not sure what else he would need to see.
Mike was the only one I didn't really agree with. Like does he just want CG trailers of games that are years away? Vertical slices that aren't actually representative of the game? Then again he did get hyped by a literal picture of concept art during the Last of Us segment during SGF so who knows.
Mike! i agree with you so much specially about seeing Red Fall first last year but that new trailer hit! because you are not vibing doesn't mean its not a big game... very excited to see more now.
I’m with Mike, 3/5 for me
Mike is the only one speaking the truth!!
Gunfire Reborn is going to be a sleeper hit it seems. Co-op FPS roguelite on console is going to be hugely popular. It's already done well on Steam. Yet nobody talks about this game after the show.
Bros in the same room!!!! Love to see it
I respect Mike for giving it the 3/5. He is right about not having huge game announcements.
With the conference being about just the next 12 months is pretty obvious you can't expect huge new games announcements as there would be no time. It's like if they announced Starfield now and expect it to be out in the next year. That's just unreasonable. Those huge announcements will come in a different type of conference.
I tend to agree with Mike but not this time. I couldn't disagree more.
@@SoulK37 That just felt though like a way to try and cover their lack of announcements
@@SoulK37 so why bring Kojima for a game that is still in development, they have nothing substantial in the horizon i think apart from starfield .. they focused too much on acquisitions without actually having something huge in the backlog
@@amokana I think Kojima is the exception to that, and considering his specific weight in the industry is for good reason. For the lack of "substantial" content on the horizon I think that for at least the next 12 months we are covered aren't we? And beyond that even without new announcements we know about many games in development like Gears, Avowed, Indiana Jones, Perfect Dark, Fable, Everwild, The Outer Worlds 3, State of Decay 3, Hellblade 2, Contraband etc. So there is way more on the horizon than what they showed in this event. To your last point, how should they produce new ip's without the studios? I understand that we want everything immediately and the wait for new projects is annoying but they started almost from scratch rebuilding their lineup of studios so the period of acquisitions was a necessary process to go through so that we could have these new projects eventually and it takes time to actually develop them. Now we are finally starting to see the fruits of that.
Was going to play Redfall just because it’s an Arkane Austin game. But I agree with Andy and Greg that it showed really well. I’ll never doubt a Harvey Smith project. Also Starfield seems like a next gen experience that people are looking for if they can stick the landing. Cause yea No Mans Sky is currently doing a lot of what Starfield wants to do, but it doesn’t have that Bethesda type narrative or side missions. I do agree with Blessing that having the XP box pop up in the middle of the screen is immersion breaking, and it needs to be in one of the corners of the screen. A bit jarring if they keep it there.
You could turn it off in Fallout. It will be the same, I'm sure. Options.
A lot of good showings during this conference. Last Case of Benedict Fox is such a refreshing game to show up with so much charm. Seeing more Diablo IV content and gameplay feels nice. Indie devs that I love showing up in games like Ravenlok and Cocoon made me happy because I absolutely adore their games prior like Limbo, Inside, and Echo Generations. Flintlock was a pleasant surprise, Scorn is always on my watchlist so I'm happy it has a release date, High On Life gives me so much Stranger's Wrath feels, and Wo Long trailer was really awesome to witness. Last, I have never been a Bethesda fan but Starfield really got me interested and may be the first game of theirs that I praise but it's ambitious so going into it without overhyping but what was shown was interesting to sink me in.
I would also say 4/5. I understand why some people would say it’s lower based on personal taste, but for me there was multiple day one plays that I am excited to download and check out through Game Pass
Really excited for Redfall and High on Life. Was not excepting to be as excited as i am for Redfall and High on life was a good surprise. Both look like something I'm going to really enjoy.
Was a good conference, few cheeky surprises, good coverage of different genre games and alot of gameplay. What they did well was make it clear this is the next 12 months, before today I didn't think we were getting anything this fall. What this conference does is make me soooo hyped for the next showcase. What we can all agree with is that 2023 is the year of gaming!
23:55
I can't believe no one gave Greg crap for this after Redfall came out.
I’m absolutely not convinced by Starfield
Still no update on Fable 😕
Id give this a 3/5, it had some good stuff but nothing that swayed the needle on making me want an xbox. The most exciting thing to look forward to is the digital foundry coverage of forza motorsport.
This showcase had so many straight to dvd games
Where did Greg, Tim and Blessing stream from?
Los Angeles, CA. They're playing games in person at the the Keighley event.
That is the Funhaus office in LA
I don't think Barrett answered the question of which games stood out to him. I feel like he only responded to the Persona part, unless that's the only announcement that interested him. Hopefully we get that from him in the next proper Xcast.
“Never heard of it, can’t wait for it” is exactly what a showcase should mainly strive for.
I thought it was a good show 3 out of 5 for me, I own both the series x and PS5 and as a gamer I am very excited about what’s coming in the next year
Ngl having those two consoles and a PC and switch I'm never bored these days
@@Scantronacon rich be like:
Gotta agree with Snowbike Mike here. Was an ok show to me. Really cool they were very gameplay-centric, but no "wow" factor to the games. Was hoping for gameplay from more XGS 1P games like Avowed and an announcement from Compulsion Games, but nothing there.
This was definitely one of the better Xbox showcases. I know people have been enjoying the recent ones but I've always been a little disappointed due to them just announcing games for the the far future and not showing much actual gameplay but they pulled a complete 180 showing all gameplay. 4/5
P.s. Starfield looked amazing to me but please move that XP notification from dead center in the screen. I don't want my reticle to be (5xp) in a firefight.
Yeah, that XP thing is something I hope they change based off feedback from this deep dive. That any any improvements to character Eye animations they can make. Those were the only two nitpicks I can think of, and they do seem to be most peoples as well.
No audio?
Need audio.
As soon as they announced the show being the next year I was able to temper my expectations and enjoy the show. There's a lot of great stuff here and something for everyone...being disappointed is just a way of saying ...you didn't get what you wanted or expected....
Same here, I instantly knew what we wouldn't be seeing and became way more interested in how they were about to fill 95 minutes without the usual games we hope to see from Xbox that are further out.
Not to mention, we’re still going to be getting our biweekly game pass game drops throughout the next 12 months too. 3rd party day one games they couldn’t announce ahead of time, games released throughout the year that go into the service. All in all everything added up it’s so many cool games coming.
You’re kind of doing the same thing by relegating someone saying they’re disappointed to something as simple as “you just didn’t get what you wanted.” It’s ok to be be critical.
@@DFTNSHEXGRM I think there’s two sides to it. On one hand not getting what you wanted doesn’t make it bad. But I get people being frustrated that the big games announced over the last couple years not being shown. For me, as soon as Sarah said the show would only show games for the next 12 months the only big game outside of Redfall and Starfield I thought might be there was Avowed. But if that’s fall 2023, I’m content with that.
They should’ve announced that ahead of time, not during the show. The Kojima reveal broke that format anyway.
ty snow bike mike for being real
Mike was spittin here, it's a 3/5 on content imo. Lot's of "oh that looks interesting" but very few things that will stick in peoples minds over the next few months.
It really depends what your a fan of, the fact that Kojima announced a game(even though their is no info) is hype enough for some people. I'm a big Diablo fan so new info and a release year is good for me, Redfall and Starfield look sick, bunch of th smaller games look really cool, if you have wanted to play persona but only had a Xbox this announcement is also pretty cool(ngl that is probably a small group of people though because if your a fan of JRPGS you probably have a playstation, but even us over at playstation didn't have persona 3 so I. can now play that on PC which is cool). With there scale it is kinda weird because a 3/5 is ok but a 4/5 is great and I wouldn't say this was Ok or great but rather a pretty good showcase but nothing insane or amazing as you said. Edit: forgot Hollow Knight Silk Song that is legit some peoples most anticipated game, so if you are a fan of some games this was a very good showcase.
i mean to be honest i agree with you but it feels like its been this way for every conference so far sony summer game fest sucked ass as did the state of play and nintendo hasn't really done much either this mediocre xbox conference is literally the only interesting thing out of the big three so far
But when you have Gamepass: “Oh that looks Interesting” is good!
@@TheBLT883 lol ok maybe you guys just have rediculous expectations, or maybe just an entirely different taste in games then me, but I don't know how you can see FF16 gameplay, RE4 remake trailer and SF6 gameplay and say that their state of play sucked ass.
@@WaffleOnTheRun I agree with this. I don't understand how folks saw that packed 30 minutes and walked away thinking it was complete trash.
I do not at all understand why people are upset/underwhelmed that Bethesda is making... a Bethesda game
Skyrim in space gets me as hype today as it did in 2018
4 or 5 for me, I mean just the fact EVERYTHING we saw is coming straight to game pass means it’s all so easy to try out without any risks
Not Diablo 4. Technically not Overwatch 2 either (it seems like it’s going free-to-play though?).
@@redsident936 oh Diablo 4 not being on gamepass kinda stinks, I missed that
@@wert7154 I expect if the sale goes through it will. But we'll have to wait and see.
@@RamblyBear Exactly. It's not on Game Pass now but you have to imagine it will join the second that Activision deal goes through.
@@travishobbs8533 if that deal goes through one thing I am looking forward to is going through all the single player campaigns for the CoD games.
No sound
Loved the showcase and knowing these games are playable in the next 12 months. 9.1/10 (5/5) for me, a lot to love here!
My top 5 GET HYPE games from the XboxBethesda Showcase.
1: Starfield
2: A Plague Tale Requiem
3: RedFall
4: The Last Case of Benedict Fox
5: Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
Honorable mentions: Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn and Pentiment.
The rest of 2022 and 2023 is gonna be good!
Yeah it was a B for me, not close to an A but also much better than an C.
Games and that appealed to me:
- Starfield
- Redfall - A (i love Coop Games)
- High on Life
- As Dusk Falls
- Benedict Fox
- Diablo IV
- Motorsport and ofc HOT WHEELS BABY
- and of course SILKSONG
the other Games have been okayish, but what i also loved to hear are the Partnerships: Persona, hell yeah. Kojima, lets see. RIOT??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME! now bring Wildrift on Console and enable Crossplay, aswell as Legends of Runeterra!! and TFT!!
But still no Signs about Avowed, Banjo, Hellblade 2, Project Mara, Everwild, Killer Instinct. This is what would have made it an A for me, but maybe they have not been shown due to the Release Window of 12 Months. Lets see what the Game Awards have to offer.
Wow Diablo 4 looked amazing, couldn't disagree more, it looked brilliant.
This showcase really sells Xbox gamepass. But it doesn't sell Xbox series X (most powerful console), which i think is a problem.
if this doesn't sell the xbox console (500$) you can go buy a decent pc for 1000$ plus and play these games. or switch to playstation play none of the console pc exclusives they showed today and pay for the playstation exclusives for 60$-70$ each
The most powerful console yeah right that's why load times are better on the PS5 and the frame rate is better elden ring proved that
Where's Gary Whitta?
What he is just said? A remastered of a ps3 game is more wow and impressive than Starfield reveal? Omg ppl should play the games without thinking every second of linear story driven game with mocap.
Mike is such a great host.
He really is.
I hate to say this as a big Xbox fan but man i was so underwhelmed with most things. I suppose i’m just not into a lot of the games they showed off but it definitely didn’t carry my soul to the heights of last years showcase. Happy for those people who enjoyed it though!
is that kFG in the Funhaus studio? im here for it
I think I'm gonna finally get a Series S/X next year.
1000 planets and 23 frames.
How many times does arkane have to say redfall is not L4D? There was literally only one short bit of gameplay that even looked like L4D style
I agree with Mike, 3/5. I can appreciate the bold move to show only up to summer 2023. Nonetheless, we saw State of Decay 3 announcement how long ago? Elder Scrolls VI? I just think this show was victim to growing pains. Shows that only have the next 12 months will work out well for future shows, but they aren’t quite there yet right now due to delays. Again, I don’t blame the devs or anyone. I expected a 3/5. I’m just calling a spade a spade.
I thought it was a 4/5 all the first party games impressed me. I've recently been getting into so many unique indie and AA games thanks to GP so loved the variety shown here. Just missing AAA first party games for this year which brought it down a point for me, but luckily I have a PS5 to get my AAA first party fix later this year.
Production value, pacing, presentation... All top notch. I'm just not interested in many of the games they announced, but that's typical of any showcase I suppose.
The lack of a date for Silksong also put me in a sour mood almost right off the bat. And I'm a little disappointed that the final class in Diablo IV is a Necromancer and not something new.
Cocoon looked interesting though and Starfield has a lot of potential.
I am so bummed about no date for silksong.
At least they could've given a ballpark idea of year and quarter or something.
My excitement levels for starfield just blasted off
I'm also with Mike on this one. 3/5 for me personally and I didn't have high expectations. Some good games were shown, and Game Pass proved yet again to be the best deal in gaming today. But none of the games shown struck me as day one must play titles. Sure, I'm going to play Starfield and maybe Redfall, but that's just because it will be available on Game Pass.
I think that's it, there was nothing that wowed me. I defo will play Starfield it's probably one of the reasons I got a Series S. But there wasn't anything new.
The “must-play” factor was really the key thing. Same thing was missing from most of Keighley’s show. You would’ve assumed these two bigger shows would’ve had more must-play titles rather than a State of Play having all the heavy hitters.
@@Alex_Logan22 state of play did not have heavy hitters lol Re4 maybe but I’m sus bc it looks like they killed the atmosphere of the og. None of these had any thing heavy other than Starfield and the gore Calisto trailer
@@Mmlujan
Callisto was revealed at State of Play too, and the extended trailer didn't really add much.
@@Alex_Logan22 the game play trailer? It had more. But what I was stating is neither show had anything bigger than those two games. But what Xbox showed was a better variety and IMO more interesting games. State of play was all shit we knew or have seen.
Using the Kind of Funny review score, I would personally give the Showcase a 3 out of 5. Yes, I am aware they told us from the start that they were only showing games coming out in the 12 months. I feel they should have extended that to the next 18 months, through the end of 2023. It only being games coming out between now and June 2023 I feel hindered the showcase and limited the number of big games they could have shown, at least ones I would personally would have really enjoyed seeing. The only two games in the showcase that I either enjoyed seeing more of or really loved seeing more of was Grounded and Starfield. Ground looked cool and got me interested on possibly getting it. And Starfield looked amazing but also got me worried in the end with how massive Todd Howard said it was, having over 1,000 planets to explore and being able to land on and explore the entirety of each one. Obsidian and EA only had a handful of planets in Outer Worlds and Jedi Fallen Oder and even those were rather small, and each had limited area to explore and things to do on each one. So having over a 1,000 must mean that at least 95% of those are generic auto produced/generated places with not much to do on them if anything. And that right there worries me that they have dug themselves in another hole like they did with Fallout 76 and it will not be able deliver on the scale and depth promised, will most likely be buggy af and the quality of the game will not live up to the hype.
I agree with Mike's 3/5. For me, I think Microsoft have adopted some of the worst traits from Bethesda Showcases, which is the heavy emphasis on games that have been available for a while. If you take out the 30 - 45 minutes (Edit: This turned out to be 11 minutes) of Sea of Thieves, Fallout 76, ESO, Forza Horizon 5, Grounded, Flight Simulator etc I think you'd have a solid showcase, put those games In the extended showcase later on. Also setting expectations is great, but the time to do it is a week before, not 3 games into a presentation.
Just did the math out of curiosity and they spent less than 11 minutes on games that are out already in some capacity (all the stuff you named.)
@@OriginalBoondocksXVIII oh wow, thanks for correcting me. It definitely felt longer for me. Moments where I just picked up my phone and zoned out.
Had the exact same reaction as mike
Starfield looks like no man's sky 2.0
Being compared to a great game that's amazing
@@yourhomie7568 I'm not saying no man's sky isn't a good game but why the hell would I buy another game like that
@@mfsports1368 because it's a great game and you should always buy great games
@@yourhomie7568 nah I'll pass it's going to be a broken piece of crap like all Bethesda games
It was a fantastic presentation, best pace so far, missing some of the HUGE announcements, so I agree with the 4 out of 5
im glad mike was level headed with his grade, good showcase but nothing with the extreme wow factor. also with most the games coming in 2023 its still a waiting game.
I cant believe todd howards words anymore
I agreed for the most part with Mike, for the exception of his Diablo IV criticism--I've been playing III recently, and IV looks really, really great comparing to that. It's bigger, and better.
mfw they dont know what a goldilocks zone is >.>
Persona!!! Let’s go 5/5
Starfield looks great, cocoon and Somerville look really interesting
Redfall will be a laff
I’ll dabble in forza and the new obsidian
I’ll also properly jump into grounded once the release happens, I think the showcase was pretty good considering these are games in the 12 months
But I’m a sucker for the ‘one last thing’…
They should’ve made Kojima the one more thing.
finally a channel that appreciates Cocoon!
Have you guys tried Star Citizen, feel its leaning on some of this game too
Honestly one of the best conferences I’ve seen. Ever. Just so many GAMEPLAY reveals with almost no fluff.
Did Tim have a score for the Xbox showcase?
I literally just ordered a Xbox X had no intention of ever getting one this gen but that was excellent about time last gen was bad for Xbox
Shoutout to Andy on the Whataburger shirt! Rep Texas lol
I thought it was ok a lot of small stuff that looked interesting but no big one that has my hype level up
Snowbike Mike is a legend. He comes off authentic. When you love something, you critique it. I shared his opinions on the showcase.
I love Mike but I thought his take was sad. He really only found 7 things of interest out of all those games, and one of his things was Kojima whose game is at least 4 or 5 years away. Sad.
@@borachon26 How was it sad, it was how he felt lmaoo. As some one who never owned an XBOX. I miss the days during the 360 era where I would be punching the air because I couldn't play their exclusives. I would look forward to going to my friends house to play their XBOX. There is none of that now. I am happy with my ps5 and PC. I occasionally want a switch but never do I WANT gamepass or an xbox.
@@RexZor76 Hey that's fine. Glad you're loving your PS5. I get not everyone enjoys a variety of genres or trying new things. I can't get enough of Game Pass. I got my PS5 and Series X within a month of each other. Until Horizon Forbidden West came out my PS5 was gathering dust. I played FW for 30 odd hours, got tired of Aloy telling me every 30 seconds where I should look or how to solve every puzzle, then I went back to my Series X and game pass. I'll go back when Ragnarok comes out. Other than that there is nothing mind blowing coming on the PS5 as evidenced by their appalling showcase the other day. It's so bad on PS5 right now that all my friends who have PS5s are playing Rocket League or FIFA apart from one guy who's put over 1000 hours into Avengers and is still playing that. Thankfully I've got Game Pass.
I couldn't disagree with Mike more if I tried about...well pretty much everything. To each their own.
Also, although I want hand crafted, fun stuff on the planets I visit in Starfield, it won't really bother me if a decent number of them are rather barren and lacking in features because the vast majority of planets that exist are inhospitable and barren by nature. I don't want that used as an excuse for a huge number of boring planets to visit, but it won't bother me if I run across numerous planets that are mostly for resources and other smaller things.
I'm really worried about starfield. It looks like it's running at like 25 fps and I'm worried there will be completely empty planets that have literally nothing and feel like they're just there so they can say there are over 1000 planets
I think that’s why its not coming this y ear. They should be able to iron out the wrinkles in the next 6 months to a year.
@@stuartbagley2586 doubtful again I think Bethesda bit off more than they can chew better hope it's mod friendly
For me personally, I'd say a 3 out of 5. It was a nice presentation and so many games coming out in 12 months on gamepass which is a major positive thing, but sadly for me, the reason I give it a 3.5 is mostly because more than half the games shown I just wasn't interested in it.
Plus they didn't even show some of the other games I was hoping to see like Hell blade 2, Wolfenstein 3, Gears 6 and Etc.... If they shod at least 2 of those games I mentioned, the show easily would of been a 4 out of 5 (since we can't cheat on score like kinda funny said lol, I would of given it really a 4.5 out of 5)
This is a pretty reasonable take. Hard to really get behind a conference that shows games your not interested in
For me this was one of the best Xbox conferences. I always look for 3-4 games to get lost in at a conference and forza, redfall, and star field are that for me. Plus my wife loved the first plagues tale. And everything coming to gamepass in the next 12 months except the kojima game (which sounds a ways off) is great. 5/5 for me, but I respect your 3/5 for the content not being for you
Same for me, it’s hard to get excited. I’m actually happy with the approach that tells you exactly what’s coming to gamepass and the platform in the next 12 months. Problem is this switch in marketing told us what we already knew. I found I didn’t learn anything new (or at least new that interests me). I knew forza Motorsport, redfall and starfield are coming and will be out next year, and that’s all we learned more about. We didn’t even get release dates for those three, just that they will be out before June end. There’s also not much for me for 2022 in gamepass. But 2023 and beyond should be smooth sailing (hopefully).
Mike keeping it real as hell.
I thought it was a great show considering it’s was only games coming within the next 12 month! As much as it would be nice to see Avowed, fable, perfect dark ect. It’s not like them games are going anywhere, we will see them when they’re ready. Pretty solid next 12 months
4 to 5 was a blast
Starfield didn't blow me away to be honest. I was expecting a little more than just fallout in space. I'm a little worried about the massive scope of the game, over a thousand planets is too much. I also hope it doesn't release with a million bugs like their previous titles.
For me yeah. Overall i thought the XboxBethesda Showcase was pretty great lots of big and small games to keep me busy. Also not really that surprised games like Prefect Dark & Fable weren't their i think those games are 2024 and beyond titles. Don't show it if it ain't ready to show. 8.5/10
Personally I'd say the show was a 5/10, but that's just because most of the 'bigger' announcements, (those Riot games, Forza, Diablo, all games I don't play, and the Persona games I have). However I'd say the overall show, and for a lot of fans/gamers it's more a 7.5 out of 10, because the flow was brilliant, nearly all coming to Gamepass, a lot of genres covered, and plenty of gameplay shown, without waffling.
If the second show in a few days, perhaps shows games coming outside the next 12 months, or has some more deep dives into the games not given as much time, then I think a lot of people will be happy, and MS are certainly moving in the right direction, given how poor things looked a few years ago at E3.
Really pleased with the show. Atlus is moving away from sony exclusives, Starfield and redfall look awesome, lots of smaller titles like cocoon which look amazing and the kojima announcement was hype. The next 12 months look real good to me.
@@bobsmith4949 actually they're releasing 3 persona games on gamepass. It's interesting to see soul hackers 2 is going to be on xbox as well.
@@bobsmith4949 relax Robert, it ain’t that serious
Mike I think Starfield definitely looked next gen and I thought the visuals and facial animations were far beyond anything we have seen from Bethesda in the past.
For Bethesda standards it was better but something mods will have to fix
Not really considering what they promised us it was a disappointment graphic wise with the characters faces
Totally agree with that 3/5... but still some good value for game pass in the next 12 months
Plague tale, flint lock, star field and red fall were highlights for me.
Considering it's been a crazy two years, I honestly didn't expect much from Sony & Microsoft. I'm glad I was sorely mistaken.
Redfall, Starfield, WoLong, Silksong, Forza and possibly Diablo 4 on Game Pass in next year is hype af. Plus the Activision drop if the acquisition goes through! Going to be an excellent 12 months for Xbox.
3/5 D4, Benedict Fox, Silksong all looked incredible. But, for me, para mi, rest is wait and see, but it's all on gamepass so no worries.
I was a bit let down with this showcase tbh. This was Xbox's big showcase to show us what they've been working on and for me Starfield was the only real hitter. I wanted to see more from the studios they bought years ago, I was hoping they were going to make that next step forward with first party triple A games. Don't get me wrong, gamepass is great but this felt more like a showcase for gamepass than Xbox studios games. They had another opportunity to really make a statement after a pretty average State of Play and they just didn't deliver. Another year I have to say "well we have a bunch of games coming with Xbox from the studios they bought trust me" when they could've showed us more.
This was a solid 3/5 ok, in my opinion definitely quantity over quality.
3/5 for me. Lots of cool looking games for those that have gamepass, but nothing that made me feel I need an xbox soon. The 1000 planets thing on starfoeld killed my hype somewhat, I can see loads of copy paste quests padding the game like the minutemen stuff in fallout 4.
No Man's Skyrim
P3/P4G will be announced for PS4/PS4/Switch tomorrow.
Agree with Mike 100% man talking facts.
Reading the comments here, you'd think the only games that matter are the big AAA Blockbuster games. A common complaint about this kind of showcase is that games get announced too early, or don't show game play. This showcase didn't do either, and is getting lambasted for it.
This was a solid 4/5 show. It wasn't perfect, not every game is gonna speak to every person. But it has such a wide variety of quality looking games, all coming within the next 12 months. It's gonna be a good year.
I feel this comment so much. Anyway I'm hyped for over half of the games shown. And the gameplay focus was so great. I wish I never had to see a CG trailer ever again.

How can people give the video a thumbs up when it's just been on CZcams for 4mins
It’s a common practice. Normally people ask for it early in the video and it apparently helps with the algorithm.
Because we like Kinda Funny content?
A: they support the crew
B: they mightve watched it live
I like every video right away. It’s the least I can do to support them.
I do it early so I don't forget after
