If they actually manage to pull off all their promises for Starfield. It's literally No Man's Sky Meets Mass Effect Meets Fallout Meets Elder Scrolls, all combined into dream Package of a Big Game!

Its literally just going to be fallout & elder scrolls mechanics in a space setting. It won’t have the same impactful choices, fleshed out companions, or alien interactions that mass effect has.

I need to check out more of the trailers but Redfall, Diablo 4 and Starfield all look pretty good.

the games that Blizzard used to make.
Warcraft 1-3, Starcraft 1 + Brood War and Diablo 1 + 2 were very bloody and gory games with mature themes, they were not bright and colorful and flashy...

Also, you seemed to be confused.... yes, the game was officially announced with 3 starting classes years ago.
Then, I think about ~half a year or maybe a year ago, they announced the 'rogue' as the 4th starting class.
Now the necromancer finalizes the lineup of starting classes for D4.
While I agree, I think the "this doesn't look like Blizzard" comments were more targeted towards how high quality their cinematics are, like with the Diablo 4 announcement trailer.
Came to see the reaction to Persona on Xbox . And was not disappointed. They said it couldn’t be done!

I don't have an Xbox but this was way more enjoyable to watch than the SGF presentation.
No worry, Xbox allows you to play also on PC natively or with Xbox Cloud Gaming. You just need a PC Game Pass subscription.

I never wanted Mass Effect Andromeda to be what Mass Effect Andromeda was supposed to be. I wanted it to be what the original trilogy was: a space opera with deep story and amazing characters.

I cant get excited about Hideo, he will clearly do some weird shit since it is the "one he really wanted to make" as if Death Stranding wasn't.
You can tell the one Xbox guy on the panel, its shame we don't get any unbiased gaming content creators anymore where being a gamer is first and foremost.
This was a very good show. If you don't have Gamepass, you're making a mistake. I don't think this was "AHHHHH" crazy but I think this was very strong. Kinda dragged in the middle with 3rd party stuff and the classic Xbox wording of what's exclusive and what's not, but still very good. Hideo making an appearance was cool but a game tease would've been nice. I wish I could get a Starfield Platinum lol. Looks good and I'm glad they didn't give it another date. Release it when it's ready. Should be in the next 12 months according to the show. This was definitely better than Summer Games Fest and Sony's State of Play had hype moments but it was just a State of Play. Again, if you have an Xbox/PC and you don't have Gamepass, you're making a mistake.

@@GodofWar3211 I believe the main problem was that most of these trailers were very lackluster. The ideas are interesting for the games themselves, but the way they were presented was in a very boring and stale presentation.
Just compare the trailer of RollerDrome to any of these and it pales in comparison.
I wish Gears 6 was announced at Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022.
One thing I don't understand. It's not a live event. They recorded everything long in advance. Why then do it as a live stream?! They could upload a 4k60 video and all the problems with low quality of a stream while loosing absolutely nothing.

I thought this was a good showcase: RedFall, Josh Sawyer’s Pentiment, StarField, Persona, Silksong all were great reveals. I know people are going to say stuff about the showcase but IN MY OPINION I liked it!
Very wary about Starfield and all it's promises. This felt very much like the Cyberpunk and Fallout 76 conferences prior to release, and the amount they're presenting leaves the door wide open for huge issues.
Lets hope it lives up to the hype, but I'm not sold yet.

I keep seeing this sentiment and Im a little confused. Its just a bunch of fetch quests busy work dolled out from the same stilted NPC's with quippy dialogue on a bunch of small planets with very vanilla gunplay and dogfighting. Doesn't seem very ambitious at all its just a bigger budget No Man's Sky/Outer Worlds/Fallout.
I'm curious on how much content is in each of those planets that they mentioned. It's one of the reasons why I stopped playing NMS. I'm also wondering how they'll make each planet feel different from the other.

being the best one doesnt really mean much when most shows have been a big let down i think this is pretty much on par with the state of play which is not a good thing when the state of play didnt even show first party games and was like 30 minuts long.

4/5 for me, not the best showcase but it can’t be denied it showed off cool gameplay and a lot dope surprises (Persona for Xbox👏🏽❤️)
Solid showcase, though I can understand people being upset by not seeing some of the farther away projects outside the 12 month window this was supposed to focus on, ie Perfect Dark, Fable, State of Decay 3, Avowed, etc.
Diablo IV looks great, Starfield is giving me No Man's Sky with a massive budget and rpg element vibes (not a bad thing); Plague Tale Requiem and Silksong both look fantastic and are coming day 1 to GP; Hot Wheels DLC rounds out the bigger announcements I'm interested in. Heard good things about Persona series, so might check that out as well.
Need to see more on Pentiment, Minecraft Legends, High on Life, Ara, and whatever it is Kojima is using the Cloud for.
All in all, a 7.7/10, C+

I think the spaceship flight from planet-to-planet are really just playable loading screens. There will prolly be fully fleshed out small cities on 2 or 3 planets while the rest are mostly barren and used for resource acquisition, main quest checkpoints, or side missions. It's highly unlikely every planet, if any, are fully explorable corner-to-corner like Todd says. I'd love to be wrong but think about the amount of time it'd take to create content of that scale if every planet had a big city on it.

There are a lot of sour feelings here. This showcase was great. Best of them all. I thought a lot of these games looked interesting and fun. The best part is that nearly all of them are coming to game pass. Very pleased with what was shown and excited to play these new games.

I don't think people realize how big the riot games coming to game pass is going to be for the PC side, but for gamepass numbers the subscriptions are going to skyrocket. League of legend alone has an active over a hundred million users and not all of them have every character. The fact that they just got to sign up instead of continue to buy these characters That's going to be huge. You know how many more people are going to sign up for League of Legends 2. Now game pass to scored big. This isn't even Call of duty day one. This is huge. This is massive. Let's just say half 50 million users out of the hundred million sign up for game pass That's going to shoot game pass close to a hundred million users active. They are going to become a force to be reckoned with and I don't see them stopping at this point that is going to bring in an insane amount of money. The revenue stream is going to be insane. That's why they can afford everything they're doing. And they're doing day one game pass exclusives because they got deals like this going hunting the background that are going to bring in all the insane amount of money. Wow that is huge...

As someone who mainly plays on PlayStation, I think it was a great showcase. I really liked the majority of stuff they showed, there was some really great surprises as well. I think High On Life, Starfield and Redfall look amazing! Video games are awesome!
Of course it would have been even better to see more first party stuff, but the showcase as is had a lot to offer.
Great conference, but I didnt really understand you guys being so high in Starfield. I was pretty dissapointed tbh. Especialy that shot at the capital city. That did not look impressive at all.

no hellblade avowed everwild fable perfect dark indiana jones and many other announced games this is the problem with announcing stuff so early i think this was a fun show overall but the fact that they dont have new big first party games for the entire year is a big problem silksong kojima announcment and the persona games coming to xbox were the highlights.

They were pressured into releasing stuff during 2020 because that's when the whole Xbox has no games movement was in full swing and it was true Xbox did have no games I'm glad that has changed but all of there studios they bought in 2018 were not gonna have huge exclusive games like Avowed, Hellblade 2, Fable, and Perfect Dark ready in two years to show full gameplay they were still considered indie studio sized back then lol. But with that said 2023 is looking insane for Xbox. I think Starfield has a pretty good shot at being 2023 GOTY along with Avowed and Hellblade 2 likely coming next year aswell ON TOP of like 15 other games. diablo 4 being a launch exclusive. 2023 Xbox has a banger game every single month.
I’m so damn bummed that Starfield isn’t available for PlayStation, because most of us can only afford 1 gaming system per generation, but at the same time I’m almost relieved because the moment I play this game it will probably my absolute obsession for the next 6 months.
This game looks, sounds and feels like how I wish Mass Effect Andromeda was. Especially with MAKING your own ship, that you can fly, with your own crew!!
