Guys please stop complaining about me talking over the videos. If i dont talk the video will be completely copyright claimed and/or blocked. Im not going to sit there in silence. I can actually listen and react at the same time to footage of video game reveals as if in a trailer theres something im going to miss thats vital in a few seconds. Stop it. We will be reacting to all these in the future as more is shown on each game over time. Ive been doing this for more than 12 years. If you want to watch the reveal without commentary, watch the original stream without our sarcastic or first impression reactions Live.

Nah, this is why I watch. I get yelled at for talking as well. Its just being passionate imo, we see something funny, weird or straight up wrong we like to point that stuff out before we forget. Rather have energy than be a mute.
Don't worry about not Joe, been watching you the past 10 years and there's nothing wrong with talking through a game reveal, its literally available for all to watch anyway I don't see the problem

I mean, do what you need to do, but doesn't Xbox do a pretty good job of making sure their conferences are stream friendly? They have in the recent past (last few years). Haven't seen any issues for anyone else, either. Might be something to check on. Talk whenever you feel you need to, that's what people are there for. But if you feel like you legally HAVE to talk over everything, then maybe it might be worth getting some clarity on that.

I believe when she said Mobile, she was referring to the fact XCloud is available on Mobile (dedicated app on Android, and Browser on iOS) for a lot of the games that have cloud support.

Minecraft is on phones. COD is on phones. In fact Activision is big in mobile games. They own Candy Crush.
Microsoft is in mobile in a big way now. I think these games could become part of game pass in the future as well.

Joeâs reactions summed up why itâs bad. He wasnât excited enough to play it⊠only to play it because itâs with GamePass. Thatâs a problem. Instead of âmeh, oh ok Iâll play it on GamePassâ, it used to be âTake my money!â XBox boasts about the quantity of games on the service, but two years into this generation, and weâre still lacking in AAA games that take advantage of the hardware. Hopefully, it will come fast and hard in the future, but this show was very underwhelming.

They clearly missed the point at the beginning where it was announced that all games in this showcase were coming out in the next year. AJ was shouting over it and missed it like he tends to do a lot.

Kind of shocked at the lack of reaction to Silk Song; did none of the Angry crew ever play Hollow Knight?! One of the best MetroidVania-style platformers ever made, I was mind blown to even know that the sequel was coming to Xbox, as they had been talking about it as being a switch exclusive for years!
I was a bit surprised about this also. Trailer for Silksong starts and heâs like, so anyway about Redfall. đ€Ł
People that like that little indie game really liked it. Everyone else just sees something that looks old they donât want to play or a simplistic looking side scroller they donât want to play.

Spiderman has some of the best open world traveling system with swinging and games like ghost of tsushima with its many attack stances and strategies in fighting are great. I wouldn't call myself a fan boy of sony because I've had my fair share of both consoles but you can't lowball their system seller games.
I feel bad for smaller devs making games like Ereban where Joe is pretending to be asleep, that game actually looks pretty decent/good. Just feels a bit disrespectful from Joe, i get it the Conference as a whole for him until then wasn't quite up to snuff, but that just kinda felt shitty of him.

Hey they get points for Persona especially now that you can get Yakuza and Persona in the same place for the same price.

As someone who plays sea of thieves still, yes you can customize your ship but you couldn't customize the cabin and after four years they finally added the ability to name your ship. Obviously, that's not the only new feature they'll showcase them all at a later date.
And to people being confused about why this is happening now even though itâs a pretty simple thing. Itâs been planned since release but it was put on the back burner for years as the game needed more content. Itâs actually pretty great to see as it means Rare have finally reached a point where theyâre happy with the content.
I dont really mind the creation engine and got its own charm to its art style. For me, not every game needs to be unreal engine which i am growing tired of.
Its annoying how much important stuff they miss, like the fact that they were only showing games coming out in the next 12 months.
They also didnât know Halo Infinite already finished Season 2 and told everything they plan to do between now and November when Season 3 comes out. Thus there isnât anything new to announce as of yet.

Time to see if Bethesda can make good on their promises. 1000+ explorable planets doesn't seem feasible unless the vast majority are randomly generated and empty. I would've been happy with several or less planets that had decently large open areas to explore, but each one had the detail and care of open worlds such as Skyrim and Fallout 4.

Joe, you can't tell us to support indie games if you are going to write off every single indie game shown as meh, and boring. Plague Tale, cocoon, flintlock, and Benedict Fox look great. Help people get excited for these games who might not normally get excited for indie games. An indie game won game of the year for Christ sake. Please practice what you preach. Don't just hand it off to Alex and OJ.

I noticed that too. Kojima can release games on whatever the fuck platform he wants. Kojima studios isn't affiliated with anyone.
It baffles me though. Sony can buy exclusive deals, exclusive content for 3rd party titles and no one bats an eyelash.
Microsoft however makes a deal or an acquisition and yet its bad. Microsoft were on the backfoot the entire last generation, it looks like they are being serious this time around.

I actually thought the presentation was pretty good. There were a bunch of new IPâs, which can be hard to get excited for since we have no experience with them, but they have massive potential

Regardless if you watched this And went âthese games arenât really for meâ. The format of the show was easily the best we could hope for. 90 minutes of straight trailers and gameplay. No dev interviews (minus Kojima). No advertisements (outside of in house ones). Just continuous games straight into our eyeballs and an hour and a half!

I was just commenting on the fact that this is one of the few conferences that didnât need a âhostâ and didnât waste time pontificating on shit not related to games. No dev interviews. And no time wasting on ads because Microsoft doesnât need ad money.

I'm beginning to feel bad for xbox because people complain no matter what they do. Last year they have a showcase where they announce a bunch of games in development and people complain saying there's no gameplay and games are too far away. This year they focus on very little CGI and only on games coming in the next 12 months and people still complain.
Its incredible how you can talk over the games that matter and not pay attention to any details they are giving, but when it comes to games that nobody cares about, youre quiet. Ill never understand.

This was a showcase that featured so much stuff, the things you liked were so spread out that it seems worst than it was but actually had a ton of stuff to like.
Watching movies with aj must be a huge pain. Legit doesnt pay attention talks over everything then asks questions that they answered in the trailer. But overall id give the show a 7/10 they did say at the start everything you see will be releasing in the next 12 months. While i myself am not a huge forza fan had to pay attention to the tech in motorsport becaus all of that is freely useable in fable as they are being developed on the same engine(forza tech).

Okay here is my issue, you guys were complaining and shit throughout the entire showcase, and its totally fine if YOU didn't find much of the game announced to be exciting, but I am so tired of people thinking that every game in existence needs to appeal to them personally. Some of these games are not made for you, clearly they're not your genre or not your type of game so instead of just dunking on them or dismissing them as boring just look at what they're offering and move on. You barely paid attention to the shadowy stealth game that looks really fun and interesting with genuinely impressive shadow movement. Its okay to not be excited for every game, but a game isn't bad or a wasted reveal just because you personally didn't like it. All types of people play games, I know people who say this showcases biggest moment was forza motorsport, and others who say it was the partnership with kojima. Rate the show based on what it is, not what you personally wanted it to be or else you will always end up disappointed.
also, the reason there was some obvious missing games from this showcase, like fable, is because they decided instead of doing the thing where they show you a CGI trailer for a game that wont come out for 2 or more years, to instead focus almost entirely on games that have gameplay available or are at the least coming out within the next 12 months, which means we only saw whats being planned from now, up to june of next year. There are other announcements and showcases that will expand on the games coming out the second half of next year. Given what they showed at this event, I am more excited than ever for the next 12 months of xbox. Perspective joe, perspective.

Ereban looks awesome to me and they gave Red Dawn so much shit when itâs one Iâm also really excited for too. They legit gave more positivity to the Summer Games Show which was a drop compared to this onslaught of games and honestly had a lot of misses imo

@@LionMagnus I really enjoy watching Joe, and have been for years I was even a part of his "ajsa" group on Xbox for a while (the leadership on Xbox and just the community in general got a bit too drama filled for my liking so I left) and I genuinely believe he has some good takes but he let's himself get into this mindset that he expects to be disappointed so he will only ever be disappointed because he will actively try and validate his preconceived opinion. He wrote off Red fall without even understanding what it actually is, he makes these assumptions and then settles into the mindset that it'll suck.
Be angry at games that are actually bad, fundamentally or narratively. Games that appear "boring" to you are not automatically bad games, so they shouldn't be treated that way by someone who's supposed to be an unbiased game reviewer
I don't understand Joe's attitude towards this show. He says we should support indie devs, but he was pretty dismissive with almost every game in the show. All he seemed to care about was Starfield. Honestly, I'm more excited about Persona 5 Royal coming to PC than I am about Starfield, because I know what Bethesda has become in the last several years.

Felt like Joe just went in wanting to be negative on everything. I mean i like roasting but goddamn. Not a lot of what was shown was for me but i do think most of the games were interesting or unique and maybe worth a try with gamepass.
He did the same for every Presentation. It feels like he wants to give commentary or a reaction but all he knows what to do is whine and bitch like a kid. Like you said, a joke or roast here and there is not bad, but when that's all he does while also missing all the info they said, forcing Alex or OJ to explain to him what happened 2 seconds before, it really makes you question why is he even streaming the Presentations in the first place. I commend OJ and Alex, I legitimacy wouldn't be able to stand to watch a Presentation/Conference, then have one guy just shit on everything.

You guys were really pissing me off this whole show tbh. I love you guys but sitting here complaining about quantity and quality of games when all of them are on game pass and what looks interesting is completely subjective. Youâre complaining about 2023 and itâs literally all games releasing in the next 12 months wtf are you talking about?! So many brand new IPs to try and some from well renowned studios. You guys gave Kojima nothing at all when that fact heâs working with them alone on a brand new IP is absolutely MASSIVE for Xbox. Thereâs a total of 50 games releasing in the next 12 months they showed at that ending chart but you guys want more? Disappointing video tbh guys. You gave the summer games show way more positive love than this and they had less to show, way more annoying talking, and a lot less interesting games.
To be honest, I'm pretty sure Joe's just putting on a character. Even if he's started to actually buy into the persona, I blame the audience for continuing to encourage it.

It's absolutely insane that nobody at Joe's team recognized Hollow knight Silksong when its BY FAR the second most expected game announced today behind starfield. LIke I get you always want to pit yourself against the big corpo but you guys should at least know when some of the little guys perform well enough to pump absolutely beautiful gems like Hollow Knight.

@@MrBreakthompson It absolutely does. The whole point we find with this show is that corporation just gonna corporate and are basically beyond saving. That also seems to be his feeling the whole show. Therefore he should praise the indies doing well especially those like team cherry doing quality shit for a cheap price, as this is the sort of attitude that should be praised and rewarded, regardless of "big" they are .
@@dufimaxi I agree, they should be praised and rewarded. But my point is that a lot of people specifically bought the Series x because of its hardware power. So far only MSFS and Forza have demonstrated what it can do. In that context I understand people (or Joe) not being that excited for Indies during these kind of showcases.

To answer Alexâs question regarding Halo. Halo Infinite finished season 1 and is in the middle of season 2. Current plan is to have co-op in August and Forge in September. Season 3 begins November. New features including significant bug fixes and weapon/vehicle tuning happens via updates called âdrop podsâ. There is nothing new to announce other than what has been said. Rumor is Certain Affinity is working on a battle royale for Infinite.
They could have showed a bit of the battle Royale, maybe even forge.

Kojima is a creator that gets to make what he wants. Iâm interested in how he think cloud tech will expand his creative process. Heâs clearly an artist first and game designer second. I respect the willingness to just do something hit or miss, because it feels at least authentic.

I wondering if they are holding some major games for Gamescom this year as well. maybe a look a fable or halo content during that show might happen. I'll give this one like a 6/10. Just happy they now just have trailer after trailer through the whole showcase.
The reason we didnât see any Halo is because the main content is a year or two away. Rumors are circulating that campaign dlc is gonna be in 2025 but itâll be larger than the standard campaign, a full fledged sequel in some regards. The battle royale is slated for a fall 2023 release.
These are rumors from people claiming insider knowledge so take it with a grain of salt.
Not to mention P. Spencer said this showcase was for "OTHER DEVELOPERS" across the globe who are putting there games on GP. & did just that & folks are upset. Notice if XB don't do what they said they would ppl have issues. Then when they do what they said they were going to do. It's still A problem. You can't win.

To anyone with an xbox and/or pc that hasn't played Persona. If you're even slightly interested in JRPGs do yourself a favor and for the love of God play these games! Some of the best games of all time and now's your chance. They might start a bit slow but that's the only negative with these games.

You're choices (the few ones that there are) have little to no effect on what happens and the romance is barely even a factor and hardly even referenced in the game. Still enjoyed the hell out of persona 4 and 5 but it's definitely not a true through and through choice driven rpg like dragon age and those types of games.
That slow start is very true, but P5R and P4 Golden are among my favorite games of all time. P3P is fun too but I just started it.

I'm not gonna lie I did find parts of this stream to be hard to watch.
Pretending to fall asleep and completely ignoring anytime an indie dev tried to display their hard work was just being an asshole.
There was more AAA in this livestream than in the last state of play and also the games are actually exclusive yet Alex spends the entire stream making snarky remarks.
It just comes off as spiteful, I've been watching since before Joe had his own channel and this new attitude of constantly back patting Sony but constantly putting down Xbox has gotten real old.

Those of us who are close to Joeâs age remember a time when almost every game was something new and unique. Most of these games are rehashes and micro transactions BS. Present day gaming is just not exciting. Even the unique games end up disappointing due to cash grabs and bug riddled messes.

Or just be more selective about what you play, cause I know I'm excited about more than a few of these games, especially for the price I'll be getting them for with gamepass.

@@mrbobo86 eh... I wouldn't compare BGS to CDPR. CDPR are frauds that made one great game. BGS games are buggy and aren't pretty (16x the detail), but they don't tend to lie about half their features like CDPR and show you fake demos. 76 is the only bad BGS game I can think of and that had very little to do with the main team in Maryland and it wasn't missing dozens of promises. It just sucked lol
This was honestly a great showcase, there was MAYBE 3-4 games I wasnât at least interested in trying out. And Iâm so glad they focused on showing gameplay from games that will be releasing within the next 12 months. Iâm honestly sick of seeing CGI trailers from games that are still 2-3 years away from releasing. People gave Xbox crap last year for showing pretty much no gameplay and focusing on CGI trailers. But when they actually focus on showing gameplay, they get crap for not showing a bunch of CGI trailers from games that arenât ready to be shown yet. Like sure, I would have loved to see something from Avowed or Machine Gameâs Indiana Jones game. But they clearly arenât ready to show gameplay off yet. Give me gameplay over CGI trailers any day.

I wouldnât say it was great. It had a lot of janky fortnight graphics looking games and kiddy looking games. Starfield was obviously the better one and looked amazing. Scorn and plague tale were the big ones I saw. There was a lot of multiplayer crap and redfall looked like deathloop which I hated too. That Zelda looking one with the cool art style looked fun too. But there is another showcase tomorrow so I hope we get some actual bigger games tomorrow.

Yeah no CGI trailers is good but this was still very disappointing. Making new announcements for stuff in development would've made a big difference. Like what's id Software been working on for instance? We don't need a 2 min CGI trailer that tells us nothing, just a logo and a "Now in development" would suffice
37:00 If you guys ever see this, Ark has a very deep, and I must say, rather good storyline. Vin Diesel is playing a character named Santiago, that is very crucial to the overall story arc (no pun intended). If you have the time (which you don't), you should watch Neddy the Noodle's diary stories for the game, the are extremely well produced using all gameplay, and he hires really good voice actors to play the parts of the characters, you be doing yourself a great service by watching them; it's what really got me into the game.

why do you cut out the music when i see other channels play the whole event with no problem at all i mean they played it on Kinda Funny Games and streamers on twitch played it no problem.
An odd thing people really complain about in these conferences is that their is too much talking and not enough gameplay. Yet here there is a lot of gameplay and very little talking and people still complain that it was terrible even though they showed a ton of games. While some of the games may not be what "YOU" want, it doesn't mean it's bad. I mean even I'm only interested in a handle full of games here but I still think it was a really good conference because it just kept going. I'd have to give Xbox props for actually doing what people want, showing games.
I'm honestly getting to the point where I'm tired of games that are far too massive.
I feel bad for Sea of Thieves. Joe played SoT way back in the day when there was limited content and it feels like that soured him against the game entirely, which is a shame. It has gotten SO MUCH better. Easily in my top 3 games of all time. He really owes it to himself to go back and try it again with an open mind.

I think one of the "partial reasons" for a ton of games having the fortnite look is because people with cheap casual gaming pc's can play it. Apparently fortnite can play decently on cheap store bought pc's and laptops.
Nope it has nothing to do with casual gaming PCs'. It's because indie games are ruling the market (most are free or cheap and have massive replayability) while AAA games have over bloated budgets and often are disappointments.
Joe just sounds tired, as if he needs a vacation before he can enjoy these things again. Or maybe he is just getting old and new things don't appeal as much anymore. I feel that too.
That said, I'm far more interested in Silksong than anything else, and I only recently got Hollow Knight. Starfield could be interesting too.

@@ismaelapellido2666 Except for literally anybody who hasn't been playing League for years, it's a really fucking solid deal. You no longer have to grind to buy a champion to see IF you'll like their playstyle and then have it wasted if you don't; you can just try the champion and test it out (this is ESPECIALLY good for newer players that started playing after Arcane came out, and realized how hard some of the champions featured in the show are to play), and if you don't like them you can move on to the next one.
It literally cuts down on the process you're describing, because instead of having to grind for countless hours to try champions and see if you like them, you figure out what character you like, and then you main them from the beginning. It takes the "finding a main" stage of every player's progress and gets it out of the way quickly so you can get good with that champion.

Everything on this showcase is coming within the next 12 months, Xbox has another show tomorrow that is 90 minutes, we might see future games there.
I wouldnât expect anything big, just further elaboration on stuff already shown like more gameplay for Forza.
