fun fact! the jellyfish danny sees is a photograph by Matthew Smith from the 2014 Australian geographic photography competition, and it was the overall winner. I recognised the picture because I own the book of the competition. Also, its called a Portuguese *man* of war, which is probably why it showed up. People usually just call them Bluebottles, and they're really four different organisms joined together- the reason they live half in/half out of water is because they use the floating part of themselves as a sail!

Technically they're not four different organisms living together - they're seven different *types* of the same organism living together. Portuguese men-o-war and other siphonophores are composed of cloned individuals called "zooids" that each serve different functions, for example, floating the organism on the water, stinging, eating, etc.

that jellyfish is called the "portuguese man o' war" and can grow anywhere from 30 to 100 ft (10 to 30 meters) and that is how they float (top part above water) so that is probably why it showed up when you searched "man halfway in water" also the man o war is rarely fatal to humans but can kill turtles that get stuck in the long tentacles 13:21
