I think another thing probably making it harder for boomers to tell what's AI and what's not is that their eyesite isn't very good. Telling what's AI tends to come from looking into the details and if everything already looks fucked up and blurry, they might legitimately not be able to see the difference between AI and real pictures. Compounding that with all the other factors makes boomers so much more likely to fall for these.
