Would you mind giving me a little rundown of what you did to prep your engine to take that kind of boost? Because I'm pretty sure mine would blow up with anything more than like 6 or so psi. Thanks!
Lol mine was slow to start with as well. I picked up a 3.8 from a junk yard. Got a stroker kit for it. ( 4.3l now. ) it can handle 20 lb boost now. I went with a shift kit as mine is an automatic ( that sucked. ) and I replaced the 7.5 rear with the 8.8 out of a gt. And put in new gears. 373's. Nothing to wild. Still is my daily driver in the summer. I did my suspension and brake upgrades first. It is still a work in progress. To cold to work on it right now where I live. Wind chill of -35 below this morning. YUCK!!!!

Sick! You make the manifolds yourself or find a place that self them or have then custom made? Clean ass ride, the braided lines and an fittings on your e85 setup is a good look from the back too

Just one question. Is there anything that these engines need to really start building power with boost. I turboed mine and at 5psi made 190hp 235tq with everything else on it stock. Was it a bad tune or is there something holding me back like poor airflow or something. I would have thought I'd be making somewhere in the mid 200s even bumping it up to 8psi didn't feel much different. There's people out there with bolt ons that make more power than me boosted.
I have a 2000 3.8 mustang, what all do I have to replace to fit a turbo? I’d like to be able to make that HP without having to go the expensive v8 swap route
If u can weld then u can make your own turbo kit ... if not take it to a local speed or fab shop and have them build u one ... on your own it well cost u around 3k ... and a shop does it it well cost u around 5k to 6k
Chris Hopkins Jr thx bud ... o well first off my motor is a fully built motor out of a Ford f150 4.2 liter does a 30 over bore + 2 stroker motor built my own turbo system with a Precision Turbo 6176 the fuel systems been changed out for a return system to run e85 ethanol fuel pump amusing is an external magnafuel 750 injectors are ID injector dynamics 1400 cc I'm also using manual boost controller and also a stock computer that's been dinos and tuned which is also stock ECU and as of intercooler if you're going to run the inner core on a turbo system
Lmfao with 12 gallons of E85 the best i got was 98 miles lol ... but i never tried to see how much i can get because i can't seem to say out of it lol ... but its about smiles per gallon not mpg lol

U just seen me make 514hp & 610tq and your going to ask "why not just get a v8?" ...... #1 no V8's are junk! #2 that is every one's answer or shortcut to make some kind of power! #3 because people said i can't go it or it's impossible! #4 V8's have no top end torque. With a stock motor u can max your hp at only 400hp and no more then that unless u are running e85 then u can make more power!
