I always thought a good idea would be that every single time you complete a Petra's run, you get a guaranteed drop you haven't gotten before. So, if all you're missing is a tyranny of heaven, glittering key, and a thousand voices, you would be guaranteed to have all of them after three petras run completions, and you can do as many as you want within the week.

The problem with that is that a lot of people will have raid groups that will have a high success rate within raids and will carry some people with a tag.

I did shattered throne since it came out 3 TIMES A WEEK, still no ship. I also beat the dungeon solo without dying and that is not considered an achievement for the title?
I did literally every single ascendant challenge 3 TIMES A WEEK since release, no ghost.
I did Last Wish since it came out 3 TIMES A WEEK, still no glittering key and sparrow, but i finally got 1k voices a week ago... after nerf... yay.
I also did everything for the Dredgen title, and killed the malfeasance primeval like around 30 times now, still no sparrow OR ship. (also not a single emblem ornament).
I want to die.

Yeah it's super annoying, for a while it's been all the same weapons and armor, and when black armory came out they just gave old legendaries random rolls at that point just give us some new weapons
Cosmetic items need to be farmable. I would run The Last Wish raid, the Dreaming City weekly mission and Shattered Throne multiple times within a week if there was a chance at only getting cosmetics after the first clear.

Absolutely! Spot on sir. We have been asking for transmog since D1. I just want to farm the roll I want then make my armor look the way I want. I want to pull the items look from my collection and either change my armors look permanently or put it into an appearance override slot.
1. As a console player, 1000 voices should never have been nerfed down to our level, it should have been buffed on console to the same level.
2. Rivensbane, and all the other titles should not rely on RNG, because luck is NOT skill. It should require skilled challenges like the ones in rivensbane. It shouldn’t be “Oh, let’s hope [Insert gear here] drops”, it should be “wow, I really gotta focus on this one challenge, and try and use all my wits and skill to do this.” Whats even worse is that with RNG, nothing is guaranteed. I could continually do last wish from the day it drops, and still not get 1K voices.
3. They should bring back year 1 gear, Since it’s practically stale, since places like leviathan no longer drop powerful gear (For forsaken)
4. I would LIKE to see bungie put in something like Specific loot for blind well, but knowing them they’d put them in the list of items for cursebreaker and then Locking it Behind RNG.
Jim Davis 1k voices feels so mediocre right now used it in a nightfall with solar singe me and my friend really didn’t believe it was on felt like it wasn’t on singe

+Jim Davis I feel like they should bring back only a few year 1 armor sets. The raid sets, EP, other important ones. I don't think they should bring back ordinary vendor gear.
As for weapons, I don't care about ordinary vendor weapons either, just raid ones, Mercury forge weapons, etc and that's it.

I know you don’t really comment too much on the PvP side of Destiny but would still like to hear your thoughts on Comp, IB and Trials.
i think the general feeling of comp Destiny is that it's a broken mess that pits people of two completely different skill groups together.

Trials hasn't been around since the launch of Forsaken, which is weird.

The dreaming city raid ship ghost shell and 100k voices should be apart of a raid quest like the leviathan raid weapons that most of us forgotten about. Cause I have open all raid chest at the end room and not gotten any of these items (on ps4) and the same could be said about the new raid weapons too. Cause in destiny 1 out break prime quest you knew you your gonna get that weapon at the end of quest. Bungie needs to fix drop rates before any new raids come out.

Several things I wanted to point out from the perspective of a new player who just started playing with forsaken.
I get that you think most players would prefer new content vs. updated old content from the perspective of a long time player. But as a new player there is literally no reason to even do the old content now that new content has better everything (with the exception of things like Ikelos shotgun). So think about it from my perspective. Just bought a game where the majority of the content is not worth doing for long time players or new players. Then look at it from Bungie's perspective. It takes them forever to create new content, it costs them lots of money, and their last expansion didn't sell well. I think both of those things make a good argument for maybe revisiting older content. For one it makes the game more appealing to new players, and for another it's probably cheaper and faster to implement then new content. Overall I think it would be good for the health of the game in the long run...But of course I wouldn't say no to some new content either! :)
The other thing I would like to say is about how you touched on the difficulty of mechanics and content like Blind Well and the Forges. You mentioned how people still don't know how to do the corrupted strike, and how if they want to add more mechanics they need to be non-matchmaking content. As a new player I disagree with this. I have played other games with harder mechanics that had matchmaking, and the one thing they all had in common was they actually tell you what to do in game. They show you the mechanic in solo gameplay, reinforce it in small scale gameplay, and by the time you get to the raid you already know what to do. Destiny 2 is really bad at this. A simple text popup or voice line from your ghost is all that is really necessary to explain most mechanics. For example: you pick up an orb in the corrupted strike and...nothing. There isn't anything directly telling you how the mechanic works. If there was some exposition or text telling you this beforehand then everyone would know. This same thing could be applied to tons of content in the game, making it dead easy to implement matchmaking. I know that a lot of Destiny 2 players like the current no matchmaking content because it's "more hardcore". But the content can still be just as difficult and have matchmaking if they just explain the mechanics, either through exposition during the content, or through introducing those concepts earlier.
TL;DR= I think new players would appreciate it if the content they payed for was actually worth playing, and difficult content can totally have matchmaking if Bungie just explains what the mechanics are in game versus on some wiki somewhere.

The thing is with the explaining mechanics, people are stupid. The corrupted explains it but I still constantly run into people just chucking the relics straight at enemies or off the side when thrown to them. And blind well? I see a lot of people who don’t know what “immune” means.

AEGabriel was titan skating way before they introduced Twilight Garrison and he did it by gaining momentum and timing his jumps to catapult him forward at insane speeds.

What I’ve found while building out my main armor sets (Dreaming City, Gambit, Vanguard, Crucible) is I’ll run out of Glimmer way before Enhancement Cores. It’s 5k even when the pieces match so that’s 25k per set. The baking has helped to boost my E. Core stock to around 80.
Datto, what do you think about if bungie put in "tooltip" style hints in strikes like The Corrupted. Maybe this way people would be able to figure out these more simple mechanics and possibly in the future we could get a little more interesting strikes instead of just shooting dudes and standing on plates. No health gates on bosses tho cuz I think that creates an artificial difficulty. Anyway, thoughts?
Ok, my 2 cents here (from the perspective of a Destiny day 1 player that tries to get as much in these game as possible)
1. RNG is just hell at this point. I'm still missing the polestar II shell from ana brays sleeper node engramms after opening countless of those nodes; I haven't gotten the EP ship or sparrow even though running it countless times, even today; dreaming city ship and ghost are still missing, even though doing all the weekly stuff and the shattered throne as much as possible; glittering key and raid ghost still missing after 20+ clears (I know, others are way worse with over 50 clears and still no 1k voices and such) but I'm getting 3 apex rocket launchers back to back, and this happened more than 4 times now. Oh yeah, meatball still needs to drop the ship, sparrow and emblem, even after 5+ resets of infamy and I mostly played in highest curse weeks.
Bungie got the RNG protection from nightfall specifics or EP weapons, so why don't they use a similar system with cosmetics in this game? Have it cap out at a 50% chance or something so people still need to grind, but it would help sooop much.
2. It kinda sucks to have a collection but still need to keep everything in the vault because of random rolls. Yeah it's my fault partially for keeping so much crappy weapons and armor, and it might be a huge task to come off with a solution, but still it sucks, more so with readding random rolls to y1 stuff.
3. It would be awesome to have the chance of grinding raid gear. Would also help people who only have time to play on weekends to find groups when most of the more hardcore players already finished the 3 weekly runs. Also people could grind Spire of Stars for sleeper catalyst for example (still haven't gotten it, my RNG is just abysmal). Haven't gotten a single piece of raid armor with an enhanced reload or aiming perk except for grenade launcher. So I'm stuck with dreaming city gear even though last wish armor looks really good and I would love to wear it more.
3. 1K Voices buff would be huge. I finally got it but it was after the nerf, and I was totally underwhelmed. Would like it to have more guts to it.
4. Keep those frickin enhancement cores for masterworking stuff only. It just sucks that you have to spend most of these cores just to get my 3 chars from 600 to 650, knowing that next season I have to do the same thing again. Enhancement cores should really only be needed to get that last bit out of your gear, to max out the stat boni or the damage reduction. But having to spend multiple cores just to get my stompees from 640 to 650 is just dumb.
I really hope Bungie changes some stuff around and makes our lifes easier. Because after doing all the dreaming city stuff, raiding 3 times, running some EP for 2 hours and then farming lost sector on mars for resonant stems to turn into sleeper node keys, just to get nothing out of all these things, it just feels like I wasted a whole weekend for nothing. I could have just watched some paint dry or count all the stars in the night, it would have made 0 difference. And after all this time with Destiny, it starts to break my mind.

This is the most frusterating part of playing destiny. They need to try to tone down this rng for everything
Blame gambit and pvp
It's sort of why I'm avoiding playing it. Yeah I can still level my Hunter up to 650, but the grind is so annoying and rng based that I rather not feel like I'm wasting time
I blame Gambit specifically because I was grinding a God roll trust and after 3 resets I've only received the guaranteed one and one other. So the drop rates for trust and the auto are horrendous. Rng plays too much a part in this game.
big_rigginwcl they just need to make everything FARMABLE. When you can only do something x amount of times PER WEEK, it makes the rng really annoying and completely unfair.
@@noahthatcher3729 absolutely. I like what they're doing with the forges, but I want better perks and more weapons per week. Most of the perks we have now are garbage. They need more damage perks and better normal perks
Better idea for year 1 armor: make the armor drop “perk shards.” Take your perk shards to Banshee and turn in three of the same perk shard to fabricate a complete perk. Make it so you can apply the perks, like mods (three slots for each armor piece). This way you have to acquire 3 enhanced perk armors to dismantle into 3 enhanced shards. Then you can apply to any armor to get more variety. Enhanced would still only drop from the current sources.
Any thoughts on the status of swords, and what can be done to fix them?
Of all the armor they could bring back my wish would be for the Warmind set. That stuff looked amazing on the warlock and it was such a short time I didn't get to ware it much.

Nah, warframe's pvp has a much deeper problem that stems from the core of how the game is meant to be played. It's a very heavy pve game, and trying to pit Gods against other Gods doesn't work out well in a highly pve specific game.
The entire game is a timegating and RNG mess.

Just to correct you, titan skating was used as a method in Y1 D1, before twilight was out, with shoulder charge. Twilight was its introduction to the mainstage, however, since it made Titan skating MUCH easier. Just thought that I’d clear that up.
Adding onto the horde mode, imagine the wall being blown by a set specific group like extremist fallen, surviving red legion cabal, or even hive. You defend the wall after setting up a large barricade and continuously kill enemies to buy time for [Set objective]. Limitless waves where every wave increases 1-5 light with starting light 335 and 50-100 enemies each wave. There could also be turrets or something similar to a raid banner to place down. Every 5 waves has a Public Event level boss, every 10 has a Strike Level Boss, and every 20 waves has a Raid Level Boss. Almost like something from Gears of Wars' Horde mode

feels bad, been stuck on glittering key for rivensbane title for around 4 weeks now. Really sucks not being able to get the title i worked so hard to get.
Thoughts on Thunderlord? The flinch factor it gives to a target is a little out of hand in my opinion but I am very interested in your opinion. As a combination, thoughts on the strength of Heavy Machine Guns as a whole in PvP? Not all that much a casual player can do to counter an LMG at the moment :/
I might just be an odd statistic here but I've only gotten enhanced perks from the dreaming city set I have yet to get armor from any of the raid armor set
They haven't always left those endgame public events (Court of Oryx, Archon's Forge, Escalation Protocol, Blind Well) out to dry. In Year 3 of D1 they added 400 LL ghosts to Archon's Forge drop tables about 2 or so months after it came out to give people an easier time getting up to max light back when Ghosts were counted for your Light Level.

Any thought on the lore triumph seal (chronicler)? They’ve made it so it takes months to get it done due to the ‘truth to power’ lore being only available with the queens court, and also that the game usually doesn’t tell you how to get other prices of lore eg - how do you complete ‘The Dreaming City’ lore book?

I've done the Dreaming City weekly story missions 3 times a week since launch and still no DC Sparrow, thus no Cursebreaker.
I’m certain that this question will drown in the sea of other questions, but here’s mine: code of the devastator. Feel like it needs a buff in a multitude of ways. Either a damage buff, a higher damage resistance for charging in with something that barely does aoe, or the hardest being an uppercut attack to chase people that use the method of countering this super: jumping.

I’ve been getting tons of MW cores from the dawning. It seems the rewards from turning in a present has a chance to give you 1-3 masterwork cores.

Do you think that titans (excluding titanskating coz thats only on pc) are overall underpowered compared to the other classes or would you say that with the exception of... certain supers... the crucible is fairly balanced?
